A village home in the Catskills

3 hours away from NYC, The Hobart House is a farmhouse that’s nestled on the west branch of the Delaware River in Hobart — the Book Village of the Catskills. Enjoyable during all seasons, it’s the perfect place to get away, explore local towns, visit farms, and enjoy nature.

Set in the small village of Hobart, the house is very close to nearby towns of Stamford, Bovina, Delhi, Andes, and Cooperstown. Close to skiing at Hunter, Plattekill, and Belleayre mountains!

The space
Built in 1904, the house has all the charm of an old farmhouse, brought to life with minimal styling and modern amenities throughout. There are three bedrooms, a cozy living room, dining room, beautiful kitchen, and a spacious bathroom fitted with a clawfoot tub. Outside there’s a full lawn, an outdoor picnic table with lights for twilight dining, and a fire pit and charcoal grill as well. It has everything you need for a great getaway with family or friends.

Other things to note:
- No parties or extra guests.
- Please keep noise down when using fire pit at night. We have two local neighbors who are great and we ask to please respect their privacy and to be kind and courteous.
- There is a path down to the river that has a second fire pit. While you can use this space, please note that this area is in progress so pardon our appearance!
- Our property ends at the river. Please don't explore to the other side as we butt up against a farm and our neighbor's property behind us. We have a full list of nearby trails if you get the itch to explore!
