I give it 4 stars due to the fact that the owner drove by the house and had neighbors informing him of anything going on at the house. It was a get together for family and friends, so there were cars and people at the home. Other than that, we enjoyed the home and space outside.

It's OK but the couch and chair in the living room have seen better days of was really dirty and broken, we couldn't sit in them at all. We stayed in the dining room or outside. The bedrooms were nice. The kitchen was not good. The refrigerator still had stuff in it and a lot was outdated. The dish soap was really gross. The coffee pot didn't work. There was no trash bags in the entire house. There was enough silverware for maybe 3 people. 3 towels so bring your own. There was no grill. The floors turned your feet black. There's no mop to clean the floors. We bought and left a grill, coffee pot, new spices and new cookie sheet and bread pan. And plastic silverware. I can't afford new living room furniture for a house that isn't mine but it really needs it. Thank God people backed out and there was only 4 of us staying there. I would not rent this place again.

We are sorry to hear that parts of your stay did not meet your expectations. Regarding the living room furniture, the sofa is indeed not brand new, but it is professionally cleaned on a regular basis and maintained to be sanitary and usable. We will continue to monitor its condition closely. For the refrigerator, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. It appears that some items may have been unintentionally left behind by a previous guest. Once you brought this to our attention, we immediately reinforced our cleaning checklist to ensure all leftover food items are fully removed between stays. We would also like to clarify a few items for future guests’ reference: extra trash bags are stored under the kitchen sink cabinet; bath towels are provided (9 in total), with towels placed in each bathroom; additional cleaning supplies, including a mop, are available in the garage; and disposable slippers are also provided in the home. Dish soap is supplied from Costco and is regularly restocked. The coffee machine is a more advanced model, and we understand it may take a bit of familiarity for some guests to use comfortably. We will consider adding clearer instructions to improve usability. We truly appreciate your thoughtful gesture of leaving behind items such as the grill, baking pans, and other kitchen supplies. That was very kind of you. We also want to share that earlier this year we upgraded the home with brand-new flooring and a new HVAC system, and we are continuously working to further improve the property based on guest feedback like yours. Thank you again for staying with us. Your comments are genuinely helpful, and we will continue making improvements to provide a better experience for future guests. Sincerely, Chun

Christmas in Raliegh

7 of us from LA and VA came to NC for Christmas. Very comfortable house. Plenty of towels. Kitchen well stocked for basic cooking. Close to stores, gas stations and I-40. The host was good about answering questions. Would stay there again if the need arose!

Problems

Moldy smell at entrance and living rm. old depressing furniture dead cockroach in upstairs bdrm. Carpets seem dirty and shabby. Bath mats very dirty looking Bed linens lovely bed very comfortable
