This unit has potential but misses the mark. We suggest that you back off on the cleaning agents, the smell was extremely unpleasantly strong and never fully dissipated. You know what is said about 1st impressions! That smell greeted us at the door every time we walked in. While the location is wonderful, this unit would really benefit with a thorough update. A few examples: get rid of the packing taped notes on the walls, upgrade the bathrooms (they are poorly lit and dungy), upgrade the window treatments in the bedroom (just having cheap blinds doesn’t cut it), and if the pleather couch cushions are covered because they are in poor shape, replace that couch with something that matches the pretty wicker one.Unless there would be significant updates to this unit, we aren’t sure we would rent it again.

The property was nice with a good view of the beach and ocean. Well equipped and steps to the beach. My only wish is that checkout time could be an hour or two later.

Beautiful vacation!

Sea Colony is a perfect place to stay for a vacation at Bethany Beach. The view from our condo was beautiful and a quick walk to the beach. You can walk to the boardwalk and restaurants. Bike rental is close with a lovely Sea Colony neighborhood to ride. We have enjoyed several vacations here!

A great beach getaway in the winter

We had a marvelous time. The apartment has a glorious view of the beach -- which is what we needed in January!. It was extremely comfortable. Checking in/out was seamless. The owners were extremely helpful with the check in and had the place spotless and ready when we got there.Thanks again. We look forward to returning.

Sea Colony Ocean view condo

It is a cute condo, which was clean. However, basic items were not supplied or stocked there, which included: enough towels, hand soap, toilet paper and Kleenex. These necessary supplies would have been provided at any hotel or motel. We ended up purchasing over $25 in needed supplies at the Acme in Cape May, after taking the ferry over from Lewes, Delaware. Plus, two pillows did not have pillowcases. The flat sheet had some sort of mark on it. Additional clean linens need to be supplied. Damaged ones should be replaced. We stayed at Sea Colony previously, in a larger unit, when our son traveled with us for Spring Break/Holy week. Owners need to provide for their guests there.

Bethany Beach condo

Unique floor plan that was ideal for two people. Great location to beach and area amenities. Would have been nice to take advantage of resort amenities offered and available had we had more time. For whatever reason the washing machine would only fill with hot water. I neglected to mention this to the homeowner. The reserved parking slot for the unit was a tight fit. Glad my SUV wasn't any bigger. Wish we would have had more time. Bed was very comfortable and neighbors were respectful and quiet, what ones were there.

Gloomy Rainy Week BUT

Checked in with sun and checked out with sun ... unfortunately, the rest of our stay was cloudy and rainy BUT ... my daughter and I had a sunny stay in 209 Brandywine House. Super clean and colorful. Everything we needed. Sheets and towels provided were like new. Maybe they were. So ...we made our own sunshine watching and listening to the ocean, did a puzzle, read and just relaxed. Only down and minor thing was outdoor furnitue is not for short or ambulatory impaired guests. Would have loved to have been able to read and take a nap on the balcony. Living room

Great condo for a week at the beach

The property was very clean, nicely updated and very comfortable for me and my husband. Great location in Sea Colony: close to the elevator, oceanfront, close to tennis/pickleball courts, basketball court, and play areas for children. Owners supplied all the basic necessities, let us use their storage locker and its contents (beach chairs, umbrella, etc.) and were very responsive to my emails before our stay, and my texts during our stay. Our stay would have been even better if owner had supplied a few extra pillowcases, a porta-dryer for wet clothing and towels, and a dish drying rack. The owner's covered parking space is a plus, but is only big enough for a very small car, so we parked in the unreserved open lot and walked a few hundred feet instead. Also, the screen door on the slider needs to be repaired or replaced. Other than these minor issues, we had no complaints and would consider renting this unit again.

Loved it

Bethany Beach is one of our favorite beaches on the Atlantic. We had a great time staying at Sea Colony. While the unit is small, it is perfect for 2 adults! The assigned parking spot is tough to fit in to so look for a non-assigned spot. We appreciate the open beach locker with a few chairs and umbrella. Make sure to visit the Boathouse accross the street and Mangos downtown.

Great vacation

Wonderful condo in a great location. Steps from the beach and conveniently located on the second floor, so we would take the steps and not depend on the elevator. Only caution is that the parking spot is very tight, please do not bring a large SUV. A small SUV or a compact size car would be perfect! Thank you!

Great location in Sea Colony

This one bedroom condo rental was all we needed to relax after my wife's first year as a middle school counselor. Both of us recharged by watching the beach from the balcony and walking there each day. The Sea Colony has a lot to offer (gym, pickleball, umbrella and chair service etc). We practically parked our car and stayed on this 2nd floor condo. Used the trolly service to get to the gym and walked to downtown Bethany Beach and this restaurants. The condo comes with a full stocked kitchen (we only made breakfasts), a washer and dryer and 1.5 bathrooms. Easy check in and out and any questions we had to the owner about the property was timely answered. We will stay here again.
