Esta es una hermosa casa de 3 pisos, 4 habitaciones, 3500 pies cuadrados frente al lago que domina el Parque Estatal Smith Mountain Lake desde el muelle de dos pisos.

Nivel inferior: sala de recreación con mesa de billar, futbolín infantil, Wii, Playstation 3, juegos, rompecabezas, bar con refrigerador, TV (con directv), DVD, mesa de juego / tarjeta, baño completo, dormitorio con futón y acceso al exterior Patio con asientos.

Nivel principal: King Master Bedroom y baño privado con bañera de hidromasaje y ducha separada, internet inalámbrico, gran sala con ventilador de techo que se abre a la terraza con parrilla de gas y asientos con mesas y una escalera de caracol al patio de nivel inferior, TV (con Direct TV) , DVD, comedor que se abre a un porche con ventilador de techo y mesa y sillas, medio baño, lavadero con lavadora y secadora grandes, cocina totalmente equipada, altavoz bluetooth, isla con asientos y fregadero grande y profundo, fregadero separado, TV, horno doble, estufa de gas, lavaplatos, microondas, licuadora, tostadora, dos cafeteras (Keurig 2.0 y sin filtro regular) y muchas más comodidades para cocinar.

Great place to stay!

We liked the location very much and appreciated all of the outdoor and indoor games available to keep our kids busy when they were not in the water. Weather was very hot and the lake was low and warm, but we spent a lot of time boating, PWC-ing, kayaking, etc. We would definitely come back to Cathy’s house again.

Our family has a wonderful week at the property. The house is in a great location and wonderful view. We loved the screened in porch, kayaks, and pedal boat. The check in process was very simple.

Thanks Cathy for sharing your wonderful home! The best two week vacation!!! Rented a pontoon from Mitchels Marina and spent all of our days on the lake. Your SML house is spacious and has all the comforts of home! We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful home and host!

Cathy was wonderful - she checked in and made sure we had everything we needed and was very responsive when I had questions. Her home was beautiful. We had a full house and never felt cramped. The cove was peaceful and allowed us all to relax. The paddle boards were put to good use and we enjoyed spending the evenings watching the sun set from the dock. Everything was just perfect and this place makes our short list for return visits!

Outstanding property for family vacation

This home is lovely inside & out. It is well cared for, very clean, and extremely well equipped and comfortable. There is plenty of room for many guests. The property owner is responsive to communications - rental, check in and check out we’re a breeze. Once we arrived with our groceries, we had no reason the leave! The location on the lake is delightful and the well equipped dock and sitting area were fantastic.

Lake Effects is the perfect getaway.

This house is located in the best spot on the lake -- quiet cove yet close to the main channel, across from the State Park so a lovely view, and there is only a very gentle incline to the lake (it was easy for the 85 year olds in the group to walk). The house is stocked with everything you need on vacation -- from games, to movies, to a complete kitchen. Cathy the owner is lovely to work with. We had a very special week.

House has everything!

We loved this property because of all that was in it and around it, but most of all because of the responsive owner who was quick with a reply to help or explain or just try to take care of us. My family especially enjoyed the piano, the many games, the pool table and foosball, and all of the outdoor extras. Would definitely rent again given the opportunity.

Our family felt right at home!!

Everything was great!! We loved the openness of the house to hang out together, and spent all day on the dock and in the water! Bonus points for the couches, umbrellas and fans for the upper dock!! Cathy was great to work with, extremely helpful, and really made our vacation easy and enjoyable. The little extras go a long way, and we’re super appreciated! Perfect cove overlooking the state park

This house is PERFECT! Positioned in a cove with nothing but the lake and beautiful state park in view. Mornings are peaceful, and the water traffic is minimal; making it feel like you're very own private lake! Cathy thought of everything needed to make the stay equally enjoyable and comfortable. The 2 level dock is AMAZING, and probably has one of the best sunsets we've had on the lake. Small beachy walking is perfect for guests with small children like us! We will definitely be back!

One of the BEST vacations we've had!

We had four adults and four kids (ages 10-14) stay at Cathy's house and we all LOVED it. There was plenty of space for us all to spread out both inside and out. The kitchen was well stocked, and the new grill was a hit! We absolutely loved the double decker dock! The views are to die for! We also really enjoyed having those views but also being in a private area. We also made great use out of all the kayaks, canoe, and paddle boards. We would HIGHLY recommend this property as it was perfect and Cathy was so great to work with!

Family vacation and graduations

This home was absolutely perfect for our family! We had two kiddos graduating a week apart from nearby colleges so this home became our home for 10 days. It was truly delightful to have such a beautiful place to have our family all together and to celebrate some big accomplishments! So many wonderful features to this home: spacious, extra clean, very functional kitchen, coffee bar, screened in porch, piano, games galore, pool table, beautiful dock, kayaks and paddle boards and so much more! Cathy, the owner/host, was wonderful in providing all required info for check in and just overall great communication! We had an amazing stay and can’t wait to go back!!

Nice long stay at Smith Mountain Lake

We really enjoyed our 2+ week stay. The house is very nice, and is on a quiet cove where we tubed, kayaked and canoed. All the amenities were great, and we took advantage of the puzzles, outdoor spaces and boats. We enjoyed the sunset views from the dock. We found mooring a boat at the dock more challenging than we anticipated as there was not space on the floater and the lake level was constantly changing. We also found the reservation process more involved than we are used to with the requirement to fill out a long separate rental agreement that was different than the one on the Vrbo listing.

Ideal location and accommodations

Our family has vacationed at Smith Mountain Lake multiple times over the years, and everyone agreed this home provides the best combination of location and accommodations. The owner is communicative, thoughtful, and has the home stocked with all the kitchen appliances, utensils, serving dishes, and flatware you'll need. The screened porch overlooks the cove and provides an inviting atmosphere for meals and conversation. As for inside activities, the home has a well-stocked library, video games, pool table, foosball, jigsaw puzzles, etc. Of course, the most important consideration for us is smooth water for skiing and wakeboarding. This cove is perfect for both.

The Ultimate Getaway

First of all, Cathy is a gracious, understanding and responsive host. Everything about Lake Effects 2 ensures a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The kitchen has everything that an accomplished cook needs. The water toys and dock ensure total enjoyment of the lake. Even if bad weather is experienced, there are plenty of activities in the house to pass the time. We saw deer every morning and evening of our visit. This is the location to relax and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Amazing!

Cathy’s home is absolutely stellar. Our family of seven stayed for a five day graduation celebration and we only had to come with our food and our clothing. We have been renting all over the world for years and have never had such a well-stocked, well organized home. The property itself is incredibly green and peaceful with lots of lovely nature. The dock and available recreational equipment was in perfect condition and such a great place for the family together and bond. The lake was one of the most beautiful we have seen. Cathy was incredibly responsive, informative and patient. We highly recommend this home, and hopefully will have an opportunity to stay here again soon!

The last thing my Dad did was to be an extra in a movie called "Lake Effects" with Jane Seymour and filmed entirely at Smith Mountain Lake. He was so proud to be a part of it and it's very fitting that we say welcome to our "Lake Effects". We wish to continue what my mom and dad had so longed to do with their house and have everyone visit for years to come. The home is a beautiful 3 story, 4 bedroom, 3500 square foot lake front home that overlooks the Smith Mountain Lake State Park from the double deck dock.

You will find no other place like it. We have had so many wonderful times here with both family and friends. With beautiful lake views and a very large, private cove that overlooks the State Park. Why not come to our home and start creating your annual memories for your family too!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our cove is extremely large and not very traveled by boats making swimming very easy. Our dock has a very private feel with fabulous views that can't be beat as you look directly across at the tress of the State Park, the main channel, and only one other dock!
