En invierno, Timberdoodle es una base ideal para los deportes de invierno. En verano, la primavera y el otoño, disfrutar de senderismo desde la casa en los dos refugios colindantes con vastos sistemas de senderos: Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge y Dolly Tepes Área silvestre. Un estanque de pesca, paseos a caballo y una pista de tenis están también en el barrio. Después de la diversión del día, sumergirse en la bañera caliente, caliente por la romántica chimenea de piedra, ponerse al día con los amigos en Wi-Fi, o ver una película en el televisor de pantalla plana por cable. Canaan Valley and surrounding areas are natures treat in the summer. Condo was excellent! No concerns at all. Hot-tub looked a bit iffy with dirt ring around water line so we didnt use it but no real need. Keep that clean and this place is best of the rest!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely long weekend stay at the Timberdoodle house. We spent most of our time enjoying the beautiful outdoors, but the house was clean and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for preparing our own meals. We also appreciated the contactless key pickup and drop off. The only issue we had was that the deck area had not been cleaned, likely since last fall. It took some serious scrubbing to make the outdoor table and a couple chairs usable. I’m sure future spring/summer guests would appreciate if the deck was swept, de-cobwebbed, and wiped down for the season.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We truly enjoyed renting this unit for our two small families with young boys over the New Year's Holiday. It's a great location for both access to Timberline (short drive or long walk) and Canaan Valley ski resorts.While the weather and snow conditions were not ideal, everything else about our stay was great! The unit was very clean, well laid out for cooking, eating, and general comfort while hanging out (and watching the ball drop in our case), and the fireplace and hot tub are very nice features. All of the interaction with the rental company was also very positive with regard to check in/out as well as after we accidentally left an item in the unit after departure. Best of Canaan was very helpful and finding and arranging return of the item after we realized it and contacted them.Highly recommended!

Amazing Stay In Beautiful Mountain Country

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house and surroundings were exactly as pictured and absolutely spotless! It was easy to get to, internet worked great! I would recommend this area for the serene nature and hiking. Hardly any restaurants, so plan to cook. This house has no ingredients, so bring everything from olive oil to salt. My one complaint is that there aren't any tupperware, zip locs, foil, or any of those basics. The kitchen was really well stocked otherwise--they even had a pastry brush! I would recommend that the house provide more paper products like that--a 3 bedroom house needs more than 1 roll of TP per bathroom and 1 roll of Paper Towels for a week!

Great stay in beautiful Canaan Valley

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From start to finish this was a very pleasant experience. Booking was very easy with plenty of pictures and descriptions of the property. We know that some of these properties have some age to them but this had pretty fresh appliances and furnishings. The place was really clean, smelled good and was a great location to go and see the sites. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything most people would need to cook with. Overall we were super happy at Timberdoodle and would stay there again.

Perfect fall getaway

We spent a lovely relaxing four days at Timberdoodle, hiking in the area and enjoying early fall colors. The home is very clean, well maintained, comfortable, and probably the best equipped kitchen we've seen in a rental home. Absolutely loved the hot tub after long days of hiking. There are trees out back that make the deck and hot tub very private, quiet and peaceful.

Convenient location and clean

The house seemed very clean, consistent with COVID precautions. The kitchen was well-stocked; the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was a bit challenging to figure out how to work the jets, but we eventually did. One or two of the deck chairs could be replaced. Great location.

Cozy and Peaceful

Reviewer Comments: A lovely, well kept, cozy duplex. The location was perfect, surrounded by trees for privacy and close to many outdoor parks and hiking places. The kitchen had all we needed to cook our meals and even had toilet paper, trash bags, and dish soap supplied when we arrived. The only thing we didn't realize was that it had no air conditioning so we found it a bit difficult to sleep at night. The rest of our summer stay was comfortable as the duplex is in the shade a good part of the day. Overall, we had a wonderful stay for our 30 year anniversary!

Although the gas fireplace did not work we stayed warm throughout freezing weather conditions. Enjoyed time with the family and Thanksgiving dinner at the resort. Nice to see the snow on the ground and snow capped mountain tops that literally took your breath away.

Both houses were convienient to each other and similarly layed out and outfitted. Everyone enjoyed the weekend and stay, though the bed in the MB of Timberdoodle was too soft.

It is just a short walk to the slopes, but far enough to not be disturbed by snowmaking and lights at night.
