My wife Robin and I reside in London, OH and have 3 children, 2 grown and a teenager still at home. The teenager is an athlete and plays club & school volleyball and softball. We spend the majority of our summers on the road at softball tournaments so we don't get to the lake quite as much as we'd like.. When we have a free weekend, we love to go boating and have been enjoying Lake Cumberland together for many years. We had the opportunity to purchase cottage #7 in the Villager and couldn't pass it up. We are thankful to be part of the ownership group within the Villager Resort. The entire resort has been upgraded into a top notch, family friendly resort and we are thrilled to be included in it.

I have been coming to Lake Cumberland for over 30 years and have stayed in many places, but mostly at the Villager Resort, because of the lake access, swimming pool and overall family friendly resort vibe. We had the opportunity to purchase one of the units within the villager and quickly jumped at the chance to remodel and refurbish our cottage in hopes the resort will become what it used to be. We are excited to be a part of the Villager Resort on Lake Cumberland as the owners of the Sunny Daze cottage #7.

Our cottage was completely gutted down to the studs and completely remodeled. It was in desperate need of a complete overhaul which was done from September 2023 to April 2024. All of the plumbing, HVAC, electrical and floors have been completely replaced. We added more insulation, to the walls and attic, a new shower, a brand new kitchen and turned the old sun porch into living space where the 3rd bedroom and dining room are now. The outside was completely refinished using concrete hardy board, a metal roof, new gutters and downspouts were installed along with brand new vinyl windows. We tore down the old deck and built a new one with a sunshade over the top so you can enjoy it even in the heat of the day. It was alot of long weekends, and are proud of how it turned out. The villager is unique with the lake access, full resort amenities, especially the private boat dock, which is hard to come by these days on Lake Cumberland.
