Nice, clean and quiet with a beautiful view

This property was perfect for our family of 4. The condo had everything we needed washer and dryer, pots, pans, towels etc. The balcony area has a great view of the ocen and opened up to the back of the property with walking access to the pool and beach. The complex it's self is a very quiet community and mostly adults. The grills are very nice gas grills. We absolutely love DBS and the surrounding areas. We would most likely book here again.

Swept away by the beautiful ocean view!

The building is nice and the condo has a great convenient tucked away location on the first floor. Inside was clean. The beds were Not very comfortable and neither were the pillows. I would say bring a good pillow and you are set. We have 2 kids 6 and 2 and it was a perfect size getaway for us. I give this condo 5 stars because the location and view are amazing! The condo also provided pool and ocean necessities. Floaties for the pool and chairs for the beach.

The Ashley

The Ashley was a beautiful Condo complex. Cherylynn's condo was also beautiful. It was in a great location and it was nicely decorated. She provided everything we needed for our vacation (including all beach toys and accessories). There were plenty of towels and everything you would need in the kitchen. I loved having the washer and dryer in the condo! This is a great place to stay if you are traveling with younger kids or just as a couple. The only true downfall of the condo complex is it is made up of Older people. They are strict on some rules (no walking in the halls without shoes or a cover-up). Also, I felt like if we would have made too much noise at the pool the people would have been upset. Most of the residents were very friendly, just a few pushed the rules with my 10 and 14 year old. Other than that this it was an absolutely beautiful place and I highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you Cherylynn for providing a very clean and beautiful condo and thank you for the prompt return on the deposit.

Very disappointed!!

Having stayed at the Ashley last summer, we were excited to stay in a ground-floor unit. It was clean, but not comfortable for my family. It is not a matter of just walking right out to the pool! You must walk down a hill and steps to get there, and then climb steps and a hill to return. Since a member of our family has severe knee problems, this was Impossible! All the chairs are bar height--not a normal chair in the condo. This is a big problem for a handicapped person. We had to put a pillow in the recliner to make it comfortable to use--felt like you were sitting over a hole. Since it stormed while we were there, we rented movies to watch while stuck indoors. The DVD player didn't work--wasted that money! Owner suggested we could go to the basement--no thanks. The guest room needs to be totally updated. The twin bed was very uncomfortable and very noisy every time you moved. Also, if you need darkness to sleep, go somewhere else! Because of lights in the lobby, the second bedroom was so bright you could almost read a book with the lights out. It needs a room-darkening shade or curtains for sure. This unit was not at all what we expected! It also took almost a MONTH to get our refund returned! Very disappointed!!! You have a much nicer view from upper floors. Love the area and the Ashley--just not this unit!

Good location on beach

Place was a bit outdated but clean and convenient. BUT it is time to move into the 2000s and get a digital key code. We had to meet someone at the condo to get physical keys! Unfortunately we misplaced one set of keys which resulted in the manager hounding us and talking down to us via text exchanges. Yes, we were told to return them but stuff happens. Help yourself and guests by getting a key pad.

Renter beware!

We have rented many different Condo's, in Florida, over the past two decades. Understandably, with some of these previous rentals, we have had a few issues. To the credit of the owners, those issues were always resolved expeditiously and dealt with in a business like manner. That was not the case with this rental. Based on our experience renting this unit, the issues that arose and how the owner dealt with those issues, we would never rent this unit again or deal with its owner. J. G. Sherbrooke, Quebec Canada

Wonderful condo and well kept property

We really enjoyed our stay at your condo it felt like home! The condo was furnished with everything we needed and the first level was ideal for our family. We would recommend this condo and look forward to our next vacation at the Ashley in Daytona.

Relaxing and easy

We enjoyed our stay at The Ashley. The bottom floor was nice not having to deal with elevators and stairs. Easy access to the beach, we just went out the back of our unit and had no worries with keys or cards.

Always enjoy the Ashley!

Our third time staying at this condo. Right on the beach, beautiful views, and everything you need for a great vacation! Very short drive to most of the top restaurants, groceries, and pharmacies. Already planning next year!

The Ashley was very clean and quiet! The condo was very clean and comfortable. Ms. Gloria was very friendly and welcoming and answered all our questions about the local area and places to see! Beach was great and water was beautiful! Will definitely be back!

Me and my family have been coming to DBS for many years visiting relatives. We decided to buy this rare offering of a beautiful 1st floor condo over 10 years ago. I personally have been coming to this area since my spring break days (hmm! that was just yesterday).
My husband and I are retired military veterans and although our children were very young when we bought this condo, they are now both in college. We love this area and know you will too. People are very friendly and everyone of course loves the beach. Instead of spending thousands of dollars for a week with Disney ($800/day for a family of four?), let the beach entertain you and visit Disney for one to two days. It is about a 75 min drive from DBS. I love Disney but the beach will save you money! It may be possible to get you a few days in Kissimmee from my other contacts if desired.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Breath-taking views of the beach and ocean are viewed from large floor to ceiling windows in living room/dining room and MBdm.
This beautiful condo is on the first floor with access to the grassed area and about 100 steps to beautiful heated pool and beach.
We are very close to the no drive part of the beach if you prefer no cars. You just need to walk south about 200 ft.
***Why would you want to be sky-high trapped in a condo on the top floors? You need to get something from your condo, do you want to take a slow elevator up to get it from the beach? On higher floors, your view is limited to blue ocean and blue sky while you are in your condo. You cannot possibly see anything else when you are sitting.
Your view of the beach sees only small ants from so far above. Why would you want to solely be restricted by elevators to get in/out of your condo? If you want to smell and hear the beach - THIS RARE OFFERING OF A FIRST FLOOR UNIT IS FOR YOU!..
