Great house and location

We loved our stay. The view of the hills and sounds of the monkeys in the morning was amazing. We loved the pool and making a few of our meals at the house. The house was clean and the attention to detail on the interior is great. Highly recommend the property

Gorgeous home

Beautiful home! Check in was quick and easy! Someone met us to explain the amenities in the home. It was a great place to unwind and connect to nature! Beaches and things to do are very close!

Jungle getaway in modern home

This place is just what we needed. Provided relaxation in a safe and comfortable home, perfect to unwind. Wildlife is plentiful, monkeys stopped by a couple times. Great location close to restaurants, beach and the little towns of Samara and punta islita. The pool was such a treat. The host went out of his way to make this a great vacation, thank you! Hope to come back when the weather is more ideal.

Beautiful home but be ready for cold showers

The house and pool are beautiful. We were surprised that there is no hot water for showers or dishwashing (it was the only place we stayed in Costa Rica without hot water). It had no dishwasher either (but this is common from my experience). Overall our stay was slightly stressful with minor things happening. The owner was responsive to the issues which was good. I feel this is a new holiday home which is still being worked on and perfected (gaps in windows were sealed when we were there). The location is great. Peaceful and short drive to playa Carrillo.

Beautiful property but key info missing

This property is beautiful, just as the pics show. The outdoor space is fabulous! However, what is not stated is that there is no hot water. The kitchen is spacious but there is not a cook top or stove (problematic if you like to cook like I do!), only a hot plate, grill and electric skillet. There is no dishwasher and no ice maker in the fridge. There is also no AC in the common areas and the living area is upstairs...very hot. It seems as if this was started as a luxury rental but then turned into a "get it done" project. (The counter in the downstairs bath is not even anchored to the wall.) This is one of the more expensive places in the area and as such I would have expected more amenities.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re happy you enjoyed the outdoor space and found the property as beautiful as shown in the photos. Just to clarify for future guests: there is hot water in the bathrooms—many guests miss it because you need to turn the handle fully to one side. We’ve also recently added a modern vitroceramic electric cooktop and applied a special heat-reducing film to the living room windows to make the space more comfortable. Additionally, we’re already in the process of installing a large A/C unit in the living room in the upcoming month to offer even better comfort. As for the dishwasher, it’s worth noting that this is not a common feature in most homes in Central America, and we haven’t found it essential. We always recommend checking the listed amenities carefully before booking to ensure the property meets your expectations. Thanks again for staying with us and for helping us improve
