This home is a very nice house. It's located in a fun, lake community with lots of amenities to keep you busy. There were a few items with the home that made it less than ideal if you are looking for the perfect get-a-way. The window AC units are a little tricky to work with because they don't fit the windows nicely and the one bedroom AC was not blowing cold air. The floors looked clean but we had black feet after the first evening walking around. The screened in porch was very dirty and the outdoor tables needed a thorough cleaning before we could use them. Over all, it is a nice place to stay but it could really use a good deep clean and a going over of the general maintenance. The outdoor entertaining areas do need some attention as well. If you are looking for a 5 star vacation home, you will be a little disappointed, however, for the price, we would stay there again.

The house was just what we expected. There was plenty of room for our crew and we had all we needed. Check in and out process was well explained and was easy. It was nice having access to all of the Hideout facilities- pool, beach, and restaurants.

The home was as it's pictures and we enjoyed our family while we were there for 5 days. A few things needed fixing. What was most disappointing was the communication (owner to property manager, and property manager to renter) and the custmer service.

Property description did not match the actually conditions on the property. There was a whole room in the description that didn't actually exist. The property manager was very kind and worked with us to correct the situation in a very timely manner

Nice size very clean. No air conditioning in common areas. Very disappointing. The book with activities and house facilities etc. Very helpful. Candace the property manager was outstanding and quite an asset to you, the community and the homeowner. Helpful and fast with every need. Minor plumbing issue handled. The mattresses in the basement could use replacing. But overall we were very pleased. Would return and recommend to others.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but there were a few things that I wish had been more accurately represented in the listing.The photos did not fully reflect the home. While the taxidermy throughout the house wasn't an issue for the adults in our group, the children were quite startled by the numerous mounted animals on the walls. None of this décor was shown in the listing photos, so it came as an unexpected surprise.We also arrived to find that none of the air conditioning units had been installed. We had to carry the units throughout the house and install them ourselves, which was not something we expected to do at the start of our vacation. After setting them up, one unit was not functioning properly. Although we were told it may have been set to dehumidifier mode, we had already checked that and were unable to get it working. As a result, we had to move the living room AC into one of the bedrooms for the first night, leaving the loft guests without air conditioning. The following night, we switched it back, which meant a different bedroom went without AC.Finally, the listing photos don't convey how steep the property is. While this may not be an issue for everyone, it's something prospective guests should be aware of, especially those traveling with young children, older adults, or anyone with mobility concerns.

Thank you for your review. I apologize for the Air conditioner issue. Please keep in mind the guests before your the AC worked so it could have been clogged or quite possibly needs to be replaced. However after your stay the units all worked. Thank you

The house was not ready for renters on day 1. The air conditioning units were not set up correctly with two portable units upstairs drawing electricity from one 15 amp circuit breaker, which tripped several times. It was up to me to run around and figure out what to do and to secure the window adapters in place. Not what I wanted to do on day 1 to try and keep kids happy. The house was uncomfortably warm the first 3 days. Also the outdoor grill was filthy.

After signing the Docusign on July 19 as the property manager told me and to make sure all names of the traveling party were listed upon arrival Friday they did not have any names at check in. The property manager didn’t answer the phone, the owner took forever to call back. The house description is not accurate. The house is a 3 bedroom with beds in the loft and basement it’s listed as a 5 bedroom and the furniture is very dirty. The neighbor to the left if you’re standing facing the home the neighbor is beyond rude. The property advertises as dog friendly, my one dog barked a few times, today the neighbor came out and screamed at me in hysterics acting insane telling me dogs never bark at the hideout. I definitely will never be staying at this home again. I’ve been to the area a lot as my family is from up that way, rented homes there and never had this bad of an experience. Total waste of money on this property as it’s listed completely wrong. Sleeps 10 comfortably bot 13. And the neighbor is a complete psycho harassing people like myself who spent 1300 dollars for 2 nights away. Never again

Nicole, I read your review and as the owner of the property i must say i think you are a little unfair. The house is a 3 Bedroom not a 5 bedroom do not know where you got that. 3 bedroom with a loft and full finished basement. They all have beds to accommodate 13 guests and described on our CO that is posted on the door when exiting the front door. The property manager is one person and she tries to get back to people as quickly as she possibly can and i know she tries her best. The neighbors are actually not the neighbors they are renters like yourself. The property is Pet friendly and dogs can bark but at 2am in the morning no matter where you live people will be upset. The furniture is not dirty as the house gets turned over after every visit and inspected. I think you are just adding more things into review. I would be more than happy to have you stay again at a discount.

The air conditioning was portable in each room. It is something that we are not use too. It did not fit the window and the cardboard would keep coming off. None of the remotes had batteries that worked. Refrigerator was cleaned out but not cleaned properly. We had to figure the frig out becasue the temp was changed without us knowing. Very warm in frig. Needs to be noted in check in instructions if its turned off. None of bikes had air in tires.

Teresa, i am sorry that you are not used to portable AC units. These homes in the Hideout are off the grid type homes and do not have central air. In fact most homes in the Hideout do not even offer AC. I added them for you the renters to enjoy the home. I also want to touch on the fridge not being cold. That is not true what happens is if you take an empty fridge and add a lot of warm food the fridge has to work over time to cool down the food this can take several hours. This si just how refrigerators work. I nor anyone else can control that. There are stashes of batteries in the home and in the books they tell you where if you would have looked. Tires in bikes is not something we can control when the bikes are stored outside temps can change the effect of tire pressure. In the closet in the downstairs is a bike pump. I really cant help with things that are out of anyone's control. We have had a lot and i mean a lot of people stay at our home and have had nothing but great reviews about the house the cleanliness and the property manager. If you like next time you want to stay reach out to property manager remind her of this review and i will offer a discount. Thank You
