Great place with beautiful views

I would stay here again. The views are beautiful and the property grounds are very well kept. The only thing I wish were different is the pool was ice cold and there was no lunch or drink service at the resort. Looks like they at one point had a swim up bar? The lounge/restaurant on site was great for dinner and had live music every night we were there.

Lovely condo, great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the Hanalei Bay Resort. The condo was well equipped with kitchen utensils . The location of the condo was excellent! Close to the pool, tennis courts and path to the beach.

lovely property; lovely view off the balcony; the condo was very nice but can use some updating of bathrooms (walk in showers) and patio furniture. Overall really enjoyed our stay thank you.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay at your home and would certainly return some day. It is a perfect location, great view, everyone is so friendly. We were sorry that the restaurant and pool bar were not completed but everything else was wonderful.

We loved our stay! Unbelievable views. Great resort amenities - we enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and tennis courts. Just a short walk down the beach. Kauai is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places on the planet! Thanks for sharing your lovely place!

Great Property

Stayed for 4 nights with my wife and my 1 yr old son. Everything in the condo was remodeled and looked great. Chuck was very accommodating and very thorough about directions, activities, etc. The staff at HBR was amazing as well. Definitely would stay here again.

Hanalei Bay Resort

Very nice condo with beautiful views of Hanalei Bay and the mountains behind. Kitchen was well stocked, washing machine and dryer worked well. Air conditioning was appreciated! Location is very nice, and the beach is shared with the Princeville Resort. There is a nice pool with bar so you can get drinks. We had a wonderful time!

Comfortable, nicely furnished, and perfectly located.

Hanalei Bay Resort is a nice place to land with beautiful views of Hanalei Bay. The staff was welcoming (especially Jack!) and we enjoyed exploring the path to the beach and both pools. The condo unit had everything we needed and makes good use of space. It has a comfortable bed and a nice lanai with a partial view. Wake up to tropical birds!

Amazing condo with an exceptional location

We just stayed here with my family (husband, daughter, and my parents) for a week, and it was absolutely wonderful. The place looks just like the pictures, with picturesque views of the Napali coast, and has an ideal location that provides easy access to a beach shared with the St. Regis. This place was perfect for us (my mom is still talking about how much she loved the place)! Additionally, booking with Chuck was a super easy and clear experience, and he was super responsive to my questions both pre and post booking. We look forward to coming back here soon!

Fabulous! Great location and a very upscale unit. The ONLY thing lacking at Hanalei Bay Resort is a bar and restaurant (which they are working on, along with a poolside bar). Once those are complete I am sure it will rank as a 5 star.

VACATION PARADISE

Hanalei Bay Resort is a top notch place to vacation. The condo where we stayed was above expectations. updated modern LG appliances, and furniture throughout the condo. Everything you needed for the beach too to include ice chest. Staff at the facility were exceptional. Tours booked through the facility were outstanding and lived up to the brochures and the recommendations of the staff. I will definitely booked this facility again.

Love Hanalei Bay Resort! This unit was especially great due to the location. This is the best location we have stayed in so far. This is my third trip to HBR and first with my two children (9 and 6). We were very close to the pool, the tennis courts, and the beautiful outside area with the big lawn that is great for watching sunsets. The unit was great. My kids loved it. The beds were very comfortable. It had two outside balconies and the view was beautiful. We loved our stay and will be back to this unit, specifically!

We just got home from our...

We just got home from our vacation in Kauai and already miss it. We enjoyed most our stay on the north side of the island at the Hanalei Bay Resort in unit 5201-5202. The view is magical and really makes you feel like you are in a story book. The proximity of the unit to both the big pool and tennis courts was great. We also walked down the path to the beach. Great snorkeling. It was a very comfortable and convenient place. The booking process was also very smooth. Had a great time, thanks Chuck Ellen

Nice Family Setting

Our family group of 6 stayed in this spacious two-bedroom condo and enjoyed it very much. Beautiful view of the grounds, lovely round blue pool, and Hanalei Bay from the decks off every room. Full kitchen; washer/dryer. Larger bedroom has private entrance. Close to excellent pool with secluded hot tub. Condo clean and well maintained. Walk or ride golf cart down to protected beach. Resort concierge helpful. Recommended!

Hanalei Bay Resort

This was a perfect choice for us! It was such a splendid relief to arrive in Kauai and to HBR to discover it was just GREAT!!! We booked the studio side next to 5202. It was well appointed, clean and comfortable. It has a great king size bed and nice bedding. There is a minifridge and microwave for light breakfasts and snacks. It really worked perfectly. The grounds and pool area are flawless. So pretty!! And the beach is only a short walk down a paved path. The beach is shared with the St Regis. Its all quite nice. Can't say enough good things about it. Enjoy!

First time to Hawaii, loved it.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is perfect for the pool, the beach, the parking. The management company is very responsive. Our niece had to stay one night unexpectedly. She flew in and could not get to her parent's rental due to bridge closure from high rains. Management company provided extra sheets and towels very promptly. I loved the bathroom amenities provided. The view was unsurpassed. The beach is great for snorkeling. The rental agreement had full disclosure of resort fees and parking fees, so we knew in advance. It did get noisy toward the end of our stay. But it was in the middle of Christmas week and probably to be expected.

Simply amazing.

We love Hanalei Bay Resort. This unit is perfectly situated. Close to the pool, the tennis courts and the path to the beach. There is a closet full of boogie boards, coolers, beach chairs, etc. The unit is nicely decorated and the kitchen is well stocked. The view of Bali Hai from the living room and both bedrooms can’t be beat! The owner was easy to communicate with. It is too bad “they” (not sure who?) can’t figure out how to get the restaurant open. Ten years is a long time..... We had several wonderful dinners at the Dolphin (ate there twice) and Postcard Cafe. Love the close proximity to Makai golf course & Foodland grocery store.

4th Stay - Spectacular Views - Lots to Do

This is the 4th time we’ve stayed in this unit, owned by the Chuck and Steph Ashton. We were very excited to see the complete renovations they’ve done. Everything is brand new from the new tile floors, the bathroom fixtures and a new improved bar area that includes a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. They’ve even added blackout curtains if you need a nap from all the mornings activities. You can see the personal touch they added to the make certain their guests have a wonderful experience. What has not changed is the view. Spectacular! The pool and grounds were in beautiful shape and the Makai golf course is not to be missed with its sea-grass greens that are so tight you think they are artificial and you need to try their golf boards and surf the golf course for a really unique way to experience a round of golf. If you want a treat, ask at the front desk for the locations of the pictures Chuck Ashton has taken and the Resort has posted. Also, ask Chuck for his website for things to do and see while on the island. The unit, the resort and the golf course, are all 5 stars with no reservations.
