Beach Lovers Retreat en el canal de Bethany Beach 4BR / 2. Oferta 5BA-spec 7/9 -7/16

Muy cerca de la playa en el Canal Bethany, se siente más como un hogar que un alquiler de verano. Del 1 de junio al 5 de septiembre, alquilamos solo semana a semana. La cocina es elegante con encimeras de granito, revestimiento de Wayne y muy abierto. Las salas de estar son muy cómodas, con un ambiente de granero de cerámica y acogedores muebles de cuero. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama king-size, vestidor, baño completo, T. V y reproductor de DVD. Los otros 3 dormitorios tienen cómodas camas queen Todas las habitaciones tienen ventiladores de techo para mayor comodidad. Disfrute de cócteles en la gran terraza y cocine a la parrilla mientras ve amigos o niños en kayak en el canal. El patio trasero es un paraíso para los amantes de las aves que se siente y parece una reserva natural. ¡Allí vive una majestuosa Garza Azul que llamamos Ted!También puede dejar su automóvil en el camino de entrada y tomar el divertido y conveniente tranvía hasta la ciudad y la playa. Cuesta un cuarto enorme para montar. El tranvía funciona de 9 a.m. a 10 p.m. cada 30 minutos. Durante el verano alquilamos de sábado a sábado del 17 de junio al 9 de septiembre de 2017.

Palabras clave: Birders Paradise, cubierta grande, porche con mosquitero, canal amigable para kayak, cerca de la playa y el paseo marítimo, deje el automóvil en casa y tome el tranvía hasta la playa o camine la corta media milla hasta el océano.

The house was the perfect size and location for us. Having a parking pass to use at the beach was a huge plus. Upon arrival, we saw a fox run through the woods and we also saw a deer just hanging out behind the house. There was plenty of room to spread out. The kids could watch something in one room and the adults the other.Ajay was responsive and available if we had any questions. The only negatives, were the floors were'nt the cleanest. I realize your at the beach and you're going to have sand, but the bathrooms had hair, etc. as well. I'm not sure when the house was rented prior to our arrival, but there was food left in the frig, we dumped the milk, but left the other items. The only other thing is, I'd remove the mention about kayaking in the canal for a couple reasons. 1: the canal is very dirty and 2: there really wasn't an easy way to scale the bank to get to the water. Oh and the beds, there are actually 1 king, 2 queen and 1 full size bed. It wasn't an issue for us though. All in all, we had a great vacation and would stay here again. Thank you.

Vacation

The location was great with a very short drive to the beach. The back deck and porch were great for the whole family. The house clearly had some appliance and other home upgrades (dishwasher, refrigerator, roof, and TV's). The beds were comfortable. However the house had a musty moist stinky smell in a lot of rooms. Water spots on the ceiling. Some rooms did not seem like they have been cleaned all summer. There were bottles left under a bed, dog fur all over, dust, and spider webs in corners, etc. There were a lot of roofing nails all over the front and back yard. We were not comfortable with using the dishes or utensils due to the lack of cleanliness inside the drawers. We had to clean the washer, toaster, and some living spaces. Also, the pans seemed too old and scratched. We purchased some when we were there. It seems like the house needs a deep, thorough cleaning. It would help a lot. It did not have a pool table or working fireplace as stated in the description. The owner did reach out to ask how we were doing. The kids loved the trolley ride, which picked us up directly in front of the house. Overall we did truly enjoy our trip though.

Great house

I stayed here for 10 weeks and the house was very convenient with it being right on the trolley route. Ajar and his wife were wonderful and staying in constant communication making sure eveything was going well since I was there for such a long stay. I loved my first summer in Bethany and look forward to many more.

Great location and plenty of space!

Wonderful experience! The neighborhood is amazing, the house has plenty of space, and the hosts were super communicative! 2 living rooms made the kids happy. Lots of space for my dogs. I have never had a host be so friendly and available! Definitely recommend!

Nice location, beautiful surroundings, strong musty smell, aspects not suitable for rental

The backyard and back deck are lovely and idyllic. There is a creek/canal in the back and it is very peaceful to look at. The neighborhood is quiet and charming too. They also have a pool table and a grill for guests to use. Also, there is a very easy entry through the garage and we ended up not even needing to find or use the keys. The downsides: The house has a bad, musty odor. We arrived at 10pm (after hanging out nearby with the rest of our family at the house where they were staying) only to find that there were people in the house. We called the owner and were told they were probably the cleaners. It turned out that they were. They were finishing up. He was not at all apologetic. And check in was much earlier so we would have arrived at a dirty rental. We also couldn’t find the sheets and had to track them down. Again, the person was not apologetic and made it our problem. We eventually found 3 sets of queen/full sheets but no King size that would fit the largest bed (which is a King). So we had to borrow sheets from our relatives’ house in order to be able to sleep in the bed. The King size bed was overly soft, likely very old and gave me back pain. We had to also borrow an air mattress from our relatives because I couldn’t sleep in that bed. Also, the full size bed in the bedroom nearest the steps was broken (the bottom right leg) when we got there. My sister had to put a pile of books underneath the metal frame to hold it up. Otherwise that side collapsed. It was a bad feeling to arrive at a place that isn’t being checked upon to make sure it is suitable for guests/renters. My niece ended up sleeping in her parents’ bed because the bed that was broken also was way too soft and uneven. It seemed like a rental that was not being looked after. Overall this place could be so nice if they updated the beds, no broken ones, if they got rid of the musty smell, and if they had clear consistency about where things are (sheets) and had the place cleaned before check in.

Convenient location!

The house is very conveniently located on the Beach Trolley route and near everything! Could easily accommodate 8-10 for sleeping. A little tight for gathering that many inside, though. Lovely deck, screen porch and yard. On the canal. Deer in the morning! Comfortable homey atmosphere.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this house.

This house provided the amount of room needed for our family and the neighborhood was extremely nice. The whole family loved riding the trolley to the beach and back into town in the evening. The screened in porch was relaxing and the deck provided ample room for the family to dine outside. The only negative comment I could say is that the house could benefit from a bit of TLC.

Good Vacation Property close to Bethany Beach

We had a great stay in the "Beach Lovers Retreat." Enjoyed the spaciousness of the home, inside & out & had a great week with our children & grandchildren, plenty of room for all of us to be together. The property was well maintained, and the hosts were very responsive to our questions. The proximity to the beach & "downtown" was good; can be easily walked or you can conveniently ride the trolley (.25 cents) that picked us up in front of the house.

My wife and I have been married for over 24 years. I am from PA and my wife is from DE.
I have been in the car industry for over 25 years. My wife has worked for the same school district for 16 years. We have 1 son, who is currently in grad school. We have enjoyed this house and Bethany Beach for the last 18 years. From Trolly rides to the beach to family gatherings, we have done it all and still enjoy it year after year.

The quiet neighborhood has beautiful tress and a canal in the backyard. We also have a pool table in the garage for those rainy days . Choose from A Large open deck for BBQ's or a screened in porch with additional seating. Indoor dining for cooler or rainy days. It's just one mile walk to beach passing local establishments including Grotto's, Bethany Diner and Wawa. Our house is one street off the main road leading up to beach and shops.. The house is large and comfortable with hardwoods floors on the 1st floor. Two living areas for larger groups. Open kitchen with view to family room and deck. You and your family will enjoy this home away from home.

From Memorial Day to Labor day, the town of Bethany Beach provides a trolley that takes you right to the beach. The trolley comes ever half hour from 9am - 10 pm Sunday - Saturday. Just wait right out front and the trolly will stop for you. No wasting time trying to find a parking spot, no parking meters and several trips to/from the car. You can bring your chairs, coolers, towels, etc. with you. Plus, it's a nice trip though town and only cost .25 cents/per person for 1 way trip. .
