Twelve private wooded acres, a wood-burning fireplace, and walls milled from local Georgia pine — you`ll smell it the second you walk in. Less than ten minutes off I-75 outside Cordele, this cabin is the easy stop on the drive south and the easy base for a week at Lake Blackshear.

Three bedrooms and two full baths upstairs, a full kitchen downstairs, and a porch and fire pit under the stars. Sleeps 8. Pets welcome — there`s a big yard to roam.

Traveling with a crowd? Our two neighboring cabins are right here on Deep Creek Rd — The Pioneer and The Scout, a matched pair of one-bedroom log cabins that each sleep 6. Book one, two, or all three and sleep up to 20, with everyone getting their own kitchen, bathroom, and porch.

🏕 THE PROPERTY

Twelve acres of pines, all yours. Fire pit, grill on the deck, and a large yard for kids and dogs.

🛏 THE CABIN

Sleeps up to 8: three bedrooms and two full baths upstairs, full kitchen and living room with a wood-burning fireplace (gas log-starter, so fires are easy) downstairs. Washer/dryer, WiFi, and all the essentials.

🏡 THE NEIGHBORS

The Pioneer and The Scout (sleep 6 each) are our neighboring properties on Deep Creek Rd — original Fort Wilderness cabins relocated from Walt Disney World, if that`s your kind of thing. Message us if you`d like to book more than one.

🚗 GETTING AROUND

Less than 10 minutes to I-75 and Hwy 300 — an easy overnight between Atlanta and Florida. Cordele is about 10 minutes for groceries and restaurants.

🌲 THINGS TO DO

Lake Blackshear and Georgia Veterans State Park (golf, beach, fishing, the WWII museum) are about 15 minutes. Ride the SAM Shortline excursion train from Cordele to Plains. Plains and the Jimmy Carter sites are about 40 minutes.

🦌 HUNTING SEASON

Deer camp without the tent. Dry, warm, real beds for eight, and a kitchen to cook what you bring back.
🏡 Cabin House Rules
• Check-in after 4:00 PM / Check-out by 10:00 AM
• No smoking or vaping indoors — outdoors only.
• No parties or events without prior approval.
• Registered guests only — no unapproved visitors. Maximum 8 guests (everyone age 2 and up counts).
• Guests must be 21 or older unless a parent or guardian books and stays.
• Pets welcome: up to 2 animals, 50 lbs maximum each. Pet fee: $25 per stay. For larger breeds, please message us for permission before booking.
• Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM (please respect neighbors and wildlife).
• No hunting on the property.
• Please lock doors and windows when leaving.
• Do not move furniture between rooms.
• Clean dishes, cookware, and utensils before check-out.
• Do not leave food outside — it attracts wildlife.
• Place garbage in sealed bags and use outdoor bins.
• Report any damages or issues immediately.
• No fireworks or candles. The fire pit, fireplace, and grill are fine.

🔥 Fireplace
• Open the damper before lighting a fire, and keep it open until the fire is completely out.
• Crack a window while the fireplace is in use — the cabin is tight, and the fire needs fresh air to draw smoke up the chimney instead of into the room.
• Use the gas log-starter only to get the fire going, then turn it off.
• Burn firewood only — no trash, paper plates, or treated wood.
• Never leave a fire unattended, and make sure it`s fully out before bed or check-out.
• Keep the screen closed and kids and pets back from the hearth.
