Nice lake cottage fir small family

Nice little cottage, clean with a few "bugs" that had been exterminated. But you're at the lake, to be expected. Dock/boathouse provided adequate docking. Landing for boat launch directly across from property. Convenient. Has ductless A/C which was adequate for our stay but not sure how it will compensate for 110 degree Georgia summers . Would stay again.

Just myself and my husband, a little weekend getaway.

The house is absolutely perfect. Size, location, clean and very comfortable. Honestly it’s so much better in person than the pictures. The boat ramp was just across the water and the Smoat bridge a stones throw. Bait store right down the road. Many restaurants close by in Cordele. Next time we plan to go to Lake Blackshear we will be booking this home. I will notEven look for another.Susan P.

stay at Pike rd, Warric, Ga

We antisipated fishing off the dock. It was a boathouse and no room to fish. Highway noise was very loud. Not a place to relax and fish. We left 3 days early. We wasted our time and money.

Perfect for relaxing Moms weekend

Perfect, quaint spot for relaxing for me and my best gf! We played golf on Saturday and was so nice to come back and relax on the patio. Amenities were great for two gals!

Sweet cottage

Quaint, very clean, love the porch and morning coffee. Quiet spot in a residential area. Groceries- 20 min to Walmart - incidentals- 2 minutes ( general store) - Lorna Williams Park - nice place to take a dip in the lake

A Charming Cottage...just needs some TLC

This is a charming place; the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen nicely remodeled and was well-stocked, the living room/dining area was very comfy and cozy and the bathroom was very modern and nicely appointed. It just needs a few things: ice cube trays (since there is no icemaker in fridge); safer outside access to front door - sturdier stairs with non-slip treads, and add handrails; screened porch: the door should swing in, not out, and add a landing at the top of those stairs; address the mildew in the shower; and wipe/clean all the window sills. The area is lovely and delightful -- we loved shopping at Stripling's General Store!

Lake Blackshear Rental

Had a good time at this nice little lakefront house. Clean. Comfortable beds and furniture. Big bathroom. Nice porch and deck. I had a question about finding network channels on the tv after I got there, and the owner responded right away. We would rent it again and would recommend it. Thanks for hosting us.

Great place!

This lake house fit our needs perfectly. It was very easy to find and had Striplings General Store right down the road for needed supplies.. Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed - all we had to provide was the food! As said by other reviewers, this place was very, very clean. And even though it has only 2 bedrooms and 1 bath (huge bathroom!), it did not feel small once you got inside the house. The lake is right out the backdoor and even though we did not use it, the kayak was easily accessible, as was the grill and other water "toys". If we had not been so tired after returning from our daily adventures, I am sure we would have enjoyed the deck on the dock. We did walk up there and the view was great! The location of the lake house was perfect for our trip because we caught the SAM Shortline in Cordele and then, another day, we went to Perry to the Georgia National Fair. This was the first time using VRBO and it was a great experience! If we are ever in the area again and this rental is available, we will definitely stay there! (We didn't have to contact the owner but her contact information was right on the fridge if we needed it.)

Family Weekend Get-Away

Property was perfect for my husband and I and 2 of our 3 boys. Saturday and Sunday we had family come visit for the day and do some fishing and relaxing. House was perfect and very clean. Absolutely loved the bathroom floors and took pictures so I can request this flooring in my dream home one day! Boys and hubby and other family fished a good bit and enjoyed the boat house. Look forward to maybe a weekend get-away with just my hubby here again in the near future!
