Welcome to your perfect family getaway nestled just seconds away from the serene waters of Lake Shelbyville. Our charming vacation home offers the ideal blend of comfort, adventure, and tranquility, making it the perfect escape for families looking to create unforgettable memories. The house offers a spacious living area where you can enjoy comfortable seating, TV, and a fireplace for those cooler evenings. The modern kitchen is stocked with essentials, including a dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. Prepare delicious meals to enjoy in the adjacent dining area, which seats up to eight guests at the table and two additional seats at the cozy island. With three spacious bedrooms, our home comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests. The master suite features a king-sized bed and a ensuite bathroom. Another bedroom is fully furnished with a comfy queen bed and overlooks the beautiful backyard. The third room is a loft with a comfy queen bed and balcony with a view of Lake Shelbyville. From the kitchen, step outside to a deck equipped with a BBQ grill and seating. In the yard you will find a gazebo with seating for six people and a smokeless fire pit as well. The yard is very spacious for games, a bags court , or just relaxing listening to nature or reading a good book. Our home is the closest vacation rental to the lake. It is located just seconds from Lake Shelbyville Beach and Boat Ramp to the East. To the West the home is seconds away from Shelbyville's Forrest Park. Forrest Park provides a swimming pool, sunken gardens, baseball and softball fields, and the famous Chautauqua Building. Please book your stay at Our Dam House today and experience the ultimate family vacation by the lake. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to our home away from home.

Scott was very welcoming and gave us a tour of the property. This was for out of town family to stay and all to gather for our Christmas. Everything we needed was there and in good condition. Beware of google map's directions to this property. It wants to dump you 2 houses down.

This house within walking distance of Lake Shelbyville was a very nice home. It was super clean, exactly as written about and the hosts were very prompt with any communications. The neighborhood was pretty quiet, the town is nice, and it was just overall a really good experience. Absolutely no complaints! Everything was in perfect working order! I would recommend this place to anyone.

Convenient Location for Boating on Lake Shelbyville

This house is conveniently located next to a fantastic boat ramp and park near Lake Shelbyville. We brought our boat with us, and everything worked out well to unload/load the boat just minutes from the home! The house was very comfortable and well-stocked with all the necessities. Communication with the owners was excellent. Thank you!

Sad that a poor review was given without mentioning anythig in comments as to why? Property was clean, clear directions were given prior to arrival on gaining access to the house, thermostat, etc. These posts are one big issues with VRBO that they don't allow you to view profiles of those wanting to reserve who have a past of being poor renters.
