Nada más que excelentes comentarios de nuestros huéspedes después de una estancia en nuestro condominio con vista al mar. Ven a disfrutar de las increíbles puestas de sol pintorescas en Kona Makai. Las vacaciones de tus sueños comienzan en el momento en que llegas. Puede comenzar y terminar su día en la gran terraza con vista a la hermosa vista. Totalmente amueblado, con aire acondicionado, 2 dormitorios, 2 baños, con cocina actualizada y pisos de baldosas nuevas que permiten un entorno sereno para las vacaciones de su vida.

Las habitaciones están en lados opuestos de la unidad para una gran privacidad. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama súper cómoda extragrande con baño adjunto y una gran puerta a la terraza. Segundo dormitorio tiene una cama matrimonial y su propio baño grande independiente. Con una pared de ventanas en el segundo dormitorio y el Lanai frente al maestro, por la noche, las olas pueden calmarlo para que duerma con su ritmo relajante.

¡El condominio se ha actualizado recientemente con todo lo que necesita para que se sienta como su hogar lejos de casa en la Isla Grande! La cocina totalmente equipada y actualizada es el lugar perfecto para disfrutar de los abundantes productos del mercado local de agricultores, o su última "captura del día" fresca de sus aventuras de pesca en alta mar. Lavadora y secadora en la unidad es una verdadera ventaja. Desde una licuadora hasta un cortador de piña, un termómetro para carne, un abridor de vino y más, debe tener todo lo que necesita para prepararse y disfrutar de una deliciosa comida.

A nuestros inquilinos les encantan los pequeños extras que ofrecemos, como toallas de playa, un refrigerador, sombrilla de playa, secadores de cabello, plancha y más, para que pueda disfrutar de sus vacaciones. Ropa de cama fresca en las camas y toallas limpias en el baño hacen que sea fácil relajarse y acomodarse desde el momento en que llegas.

Lovely Kona Makai

We have stayed at various Kona Makai condos for 39 years and for our family of 4 adults and 2 children, this was our favorite. Great location, well appointed, no stairs, convenient parking, and close to the pool. WiFi was great - worked well at the pool. We hope to stay there again in the future.

Perfect family stay

The building management does a great job keeping the surrounding areas lush and tropical but well maintained! Location of this condo was perfect! Pool outside the unit. The two bedrooms were great. I slept in the guest bedroom and the mattress was just right! We have stayed at other places on the island, but we will definitely be coming back to this one next time.

Great value and well equipped and beautiful complex.

What an amazing location and complex with amazing pool and view with whale and dolphin watching. The gardens are spectacular. The condo is well stocked. Would be even better once the carpet in the second bedroom is replaced. Parking is sufficient but challenging for larger vehicles especially late in the day.

Property as advertised, on first floor, close to pool and bbq area. Nice chaise lounges available to watch the sunset. Well equipped condo. Pretty tropical views. Only recommendation is Master shower tub has cracks and needs work. (We used guest shower with second bedroom) All in all a great stay!

Steve and Jody were fabulous to work with. Clear, prompt responses. The housekeeping was spot on. Home was organized and well stocked. The grounds, pool, and location couldn’t be beat. The master bed was a little soft for our liking. The master bath could use updating. The second that was nice. The tile floors were nice too. Relaxing convenient location

This was a nice location with a nice little condo. 2 bed 2 bath right in the oceanfront. Enjoyed mornings on the lounge chairs on the oceanfront with some mornings spotting dolphins. Close enough to walk the 1 mile to downtown historic Kailua and central enough to drive any direction to get to North to great beaches, east to Hilo for waterfalls or south to Kona/Captain Cook for Kona coffee and great snorkeling. We found incredible tropical fruit everywhere. Jody put everything you need to know in the guest binder. She was also quickly responsive to email. The condo has everything you need in the kitchen, for the beach, and for children. My whole family enjoyed the stay! Thank you

Above and Beyond our Expectations

Can't say enough great things about this wonderful property. Everything you could possibly need for your vacation is located in this condo. The best equipped kitchen we have ever had during our travels. The condo is exactly as presented in the photos and seemed even more spacious in person. The location is very quiet and the grounds, pool and hot tub are maintained to high standards. Our favourite thing to do was watch the sunsets in the evenings listening to the waves crash in. The onsite BBQ's were very handy. Everything you need for a day at the beach is available for use. Parking is easy and location is walkable into town if needed. Communication with the owners was great, they are very responsive. Everything is so well laid out that we didn't even need to contact them however they did check in with us during our stay to confirm everything was going well. They are extremely accommodating and we would definitely book our stays her again in the future. We were sad to leave.

Beautiful quiet location

This was our first time to the Big Island and we weren’t sure what to expect (we usually go to Maui). It was a fantastic, but different with all of the lava rock. The condo was fantastic, well stocked. It is a quiet condo, which was great for us having a family of 5 adults. Our favorite part was to watch the sunset from the chairs right outside your door. The use of the BBQ’s were great, they were always clean. Everyone was as really friendly. The pool is very quiet so if you didn’t want a lot of activity but a lot of relaxing this is definitely the unit. The owners were fast at responding to questions. They were super accommodating when our flight was cancelled and we needed extra nights (thanks Steve!). Would recommend.

Perfect place to stay in Kona.

Kona Makai 601 is well appointed and well supplied. It was nice to have beach chairs, coolers, and beach towels available. The grounds of Kona Makai are a garden paradise and the oceanfront location is perfect. Kailua town is a short, walking distance away. We hope to return soon.

Beautiful Property and Exceptional Visit to Kailua-Kona!

We had a great stay in Kona-Makai in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. This condo is right on Ali'i Drive really close to the town and beaches and a few small shops. We enjoyed the newly renovated pool and hot tub as well as took advantage of the grills and cabana area when other family members joined us for dinner. The condo is well stocked with all of the kitchen items you could ever want. There were also beach chairs, snorkels and masks, beach towels, an umbrella, cooler, and beach mats which we enjoyed using at the beach that is about a 10 minute walk to get to. The condo is also well stocked with games, children's toys and books to enjoy by the pool or at the beach. There was plenty of room for the four of us and we thoroughly enjoyed eating breakfast with an ocean view every morning on the lanai. We had one issue with the drain for the washing machine which was handily dealt with by a couple calls and texts between us and the owner and the local maintenance manager and property manager. While it was a minor inconvenience, it did not take away from our enjoyment of the condo and our trip. We would highly recommend this property for your trip to Kailua-Kona. Thanks for the great memories!

Excellent time!

This condo is a great first floor (no climbing stairs with luggage and groceries). Near the pool for the kids and lovely balcony space with beautiful flowers and birds to watch with morning coffee. We loved that there were coolers and beach stuff so no need to rent anything. The washer and dryer in the unit was super helpful. When we had a small hiccup one quick message via the app and the owner had it taken care of. Thanks again for a great family vacation.

Great location & the best stocked vacation rental

Great place to stay. The unit was well stocked with all the kitchen gear and beach toys we needed. Plastic containers for days to store left overs and transporting day trip snacks. Blender for adult beverages. Everything was in good working order and clean. Beds were comfortable -- one firm, one soft -- pillows and linens were nice. A/c and fans kept the place cool. Owners thought of everything and provided it -- never needed to reach out because something didn't work or wasn't in a logical spot. Internet was strong enough to WFH on the patio, which is tucked behind the gardens and fully enclosed -- secure but also conveniently a corner ground floor unit. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Kona makai: Oceanfront in a quiet, mature-landscaped complex tucked between similar larger complexes. Big sitting deck. Nice grills, pool area, and loungers. Parking is easy. Guests we met had been coming here for years. Safe and secure. Pool area locks down afterhours. I haven't seen any enforcement but the HOA has a lot of rules -- may not be great for a gaggle of children, better suited for older kids and adults.

This is a Gorgeous Property That Enhanced Our Trip!

The Kona Makai complex surrounds a beautiful tropical garden with many varieties of blooming flowers. There were sweet little birds that would eat fruit out of our hand! The garden and pool are right on the ocean and sunset viewing was spectacular. The condo itself was very comfortable for two couples, with each couple having a bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well-stocked with literally everything we needed, including little things like a coffee grinder, small strainer, whisk, spices, travel cups, cooler, etc., etc. The owner was readily available by phone when we had questions. We were so sad to leave this vacation paradise, but we are looking forward to planning a return trip next year. I highly recommend this property to other travelers!

Amazing location and property

This was one of the best places we have ever rented. We stayed with my family of 5 with three kids and had a blast. The location was perfect and we spent hours out on the rocks in the tide pools. The swimming pool was right there and we could watch the older kids swim from the lanai. All the provided extras such as boogie boards and cooler really helped meals the stay complete. I will be returning and recommending this place to everyone I know!!

Great experience

A very convenient location and great apartment. Everything you would ever require was in the apartment. Very thoughtful with beach towels and snorkel equipment. $7 Uber to town and 10 minutes drive from the lovely Kona Country club for golfers. My only suggestion is you replace the matress in 2nd bedroom, it is well past its use by.

Great unit

Great unit for a family of four. We were 2 adults and 2 kids and this unit was perfect for us. Very close to the pool, the bbq’s and the ocean. We really liked the beach chairs, umbrella, coolers and the kids toys for the beach. Wifi and cable were fantastic on our down time. Ground floor unit too that made coming home from the beach a little easier. Highly recommend!

The condo was perfect for us two. We loved all of the items in the well-stocked kitchen. We really enjoyed the bar height lanai table which allowed us to see over the railing. The condo was so clean and decorated beautifully. We’d love to visit again. Mahalo

Sunny ocean and garden view

Easy access ground-floor 2 bed(plus pull-out sofa) unit with sunny, spacious southfacing lanai. The Kona Makai condominium complex does a great job maintaining the quite floury and varied Gardens. The pool and spa are located right along the water so you can sunbathe at the pool and also watch the wave action. The unit comes fully equipped with beach towels, 2 boogie boards, an assortment of snorkeling and flotation gear, a fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of reading material. It is very quiet at night too! I enjoyed snorkeling right in front, as long as you are a really good swimmer and know how to use the natural surge of the ocean to pop you out onto the rocks. Management staff is friendly and conscientious towards both renters and owners, which can be a challenge at times!😉 Our four daughters also stayed with us and so we used the pull-out bed for the younger two. I would not recommend it for adults. There are ceiling fans and gentle breezes coming in from the Lanai. Steve, the owner, was very attentive and easy to communicate via email. He was extremely helpful and accommodating when we experienced Airline flight cancellation issues at the end of our stay. A lifesaver for sure! We will definitely try to book with Steve in the future. 🌴🤙☀️

Perfect property for a family vacation

We had a wonderful stay at the property. Beautiful location with pool and ping pong for entertainment. A place with chairs to relax and view the gorgeous Kona sunsets. Everything in the apartment was wonderful. They even had extras such as beach chairs, cooler and beach toys to make it easy to enjoy your trip to the beach. We have been traveling to Kona since 2005 and fell in love with The Big Island on our very 1st trip. We returned in 2006 and got married by the canoe hut on the beach near the harbor. The rest is history. We rented different condos throughout our visits before deciding to own a little piece of paradise ourselves in 2009.

We LOVE the location as it is easy access to anything we could want to experience. Kona Makai is just the perfect place to relax and enjoy our treasured vacations and the picturesque sunsets.

We now have a daughter and she adores Hawaii too! She especially loves the beach, the ocean waves, all of the colorful flowers and the gorgeous sunsets.

We live on a farm in rural ND when we are not enjoying the beauty of the Big Island. We get very long cold winters, so to be able to get away to the warmth and beauty of Hawaii is a blessing that helps our winters be a little more bearable.

We hope you enjoy our home away from home for your vacation on one of the most unique of all the Hawaiian Islands.
