Esta casa fue construida en 1887 para los arrendatarios de la finca de 600 acres de Font Grove, propiedad del presidente del Delaware Hudson Railway. Ubicado en una zona tranquila con respaldo a bosques y cerca de todo lo que el hermoso estado de Nueva York tiene para ofrecer. Esta es una espaciosa unidad de 2000 pies cuadrados de 3 habitaciones, 1. 5 baños que está completamente amueblada con todo lo que necesita para una estadía confortable. Todas las habitaciones y baño completo están en el segundo piso. Comer en la cocina, comedor formal, sala de estar, medio baño y porche trasero están en el primer piso. We had an absolutely lovely stay at this house. Kim and Mike are the most generous, welcoming hosts we have ever rented from, and the house and its furnishings helped make us feel at home. The kitchen is very well stocked, and they provided coffee, tea, creamers, shampoo and conditioner, and other basics well beyond the usual. The beds are comfortable and cozy, extra blankets and towels are provided, and really, anything one can think of has already been thought of and offered. And Kim and Mike were easy to communicate with and available to provide anything we needed or answer any questions we might have had (though everything was so perfect and clear that we didn't need to contact them). Additionally, the place was completely spotless. I can't think of a thing they could do to improve our stay! Thanks so much, and we look forward to staying here again.

The kitchen was fully equipped. Owners were easy to connect with and got you what you needed right away. It was a very quiet neighborhood. The house was very clean. Loved the Victorian furniture and decorations.

Absolutely beautiful!

Every detail of this house was amazing. It was decorated so nice and had every we needed. The coffee/tea that was provided was a great bonus. Gorgeous porch out front and screened patio in the back overlooking a nicely landscaped lawn. We will definitely stay here again.

Truly loved our stay!

Grey Gables was a dream home, beautiful and cozy!Kim and Mike were extremely kind and hospitable, they made us feel very welcomed, they let our kids play with and feed their chickens, which they absolutely loved, along with exploring their nice sized yard! They also gave great recommendations on things to do in the area. The beds were very comfortable and the home had everything we needed, it was very clean and tidy and I loved that they had helpful signs with instructions for everything! We would absolutely recommend staying here and will book again if we're ever in the area!

Amazing

The place looked wonderful and so comfortable. They make us feel at home with cookies to start our day. I’m vegan so I didn’t try but looking at my family smiles was enough for me. They also checked on us and were wonderful hosts. We had such a great time we wanted to do it all over again. Thank you for everything

Perfect Stay!

My team and I were in town for a conference and stayed at Grey Gables for two nights. The home is immaculate and inviting. Kim and Mike are wonderful hosts who provide excellent communication, clear instructions, and a plate of yummy freshly made cookies to welcome us. The beds are comfortable, the water is hot, the kitchen well appointed. We are so grateful to have found such lovely accomodations and will certainly book again next time we need to be in the Albany area. Thank you so much for a perfect stay!

Spacious, Sparkling Clean, and Quiet

The property is a large duplex. The rooms are big and the furniture is comfortable. Antiques, decor, and color schemes help you relax. Easy to find and in a super cute little Upstate town. You will love the extra deep bathtub and the kitchen is just like home with everything you need to make meals (we had big breakfasts every day) and late night snacks. 2 dining areas made mealtime extra comfortable. We had a wonderful and restful stay. Highly recommended! The cookie gift was deeply appreciated :)

Amazing home away from home!

The home is great-fun decor, quiet, wonderful location! Kim and Mike are STELLAR hosts! Many listings say “let us know if you need anything” but Mike and Kim MEAN IT! Beds were comfy, kitchen well-stocked (and what it didn’t have, Kim and Mike leant us), great front porch, fabulous screened in back porch and wonderful back yard. Highly recommend!

Great Wedding Weekend

This property exceeded my expectations. From the minute I walked in the front door I knew it was an excellent choice. The property manager added all kinds of special touches such as leaving us fresh baked cookies and a welcome note, lots of extra towels and washcloths and instructions in every room about how to use the remote / tv. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone/everyone. I would definitely stay there again. Great weekend with family celebrating a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple.

Graduation weekend

Thank you for a wonderful stay. The house was perfect, the hosts were so accommodating. My son graduated from UAlbany, a 12 minute drive from the house. We had perfect weekend, house is close to restaurants and the market. I would definitely stay again !

A Perfect Weekend

Clean, comfortable, welcoming, spacious, perfect. My two sisters, my husband and I came together from different parts of the state and country to celebrate my mother‘s 84th birthday. While my mother did not stay overnight, she spent each day with us, and we were able to enjoy the house and surroundings completely. We were able to cook as a group and enjoyed many meals together. we spent a lot of time going through photos from our past and remembering other together occasions. We had a very nice time. Thank you so much.

Wonderful house to rent!

Stayed here for two nights with our daughters and my two sisters. The house was very comfortable, clean and a great pleasure to stay in. The first night our landlord knocked on the door and offered a freshly backed tray of scones. What a beautiful touch.

Beautiful Home by Rensselaer (RPI)

This amazing home is perfect for a family looking to visit a student at RPI. We were coming in for Family Weekend and the hotels gouged their prices. We looked at this house because it was big enough for our family but also welcomed our dogs. Our son was thrilled to be "home" with the dogs. This house feels like home. It's clean and the kitchen is stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The yard and porches are gorgeous. The beds and pillows are so comfortable. There are extra blankets and throws to curl up in and watch a movie at night in the family room. We cooked and made an apple pie. We left one for Mike & Kim as a thank you. They left us incredible home made goodies in the table for our arrival. The home is about 20 min from RPI and my son was thrilled to be off campus and felt so comfortable here that we spent most of the weekend here playing games and hanging out. The house is in a beautiful and safe area. You will fall in love with this house. It's perfect!

Comfy, quiet and adorable

Mike & Kim are fantastic hosts that match the beautiful property. The place is peaceful, from the house furnishing that make it feel homey and comforting to the serene backyard. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever you would need, same with the bathrooms. We only wish we had more time to stay and take in all Grey Gables has to offer. Staying here is a great value, especially in proportion to the quality of facilities.

Perfect for us!

We spent two weeks in the capital region, and this home was perfect for us. It's located on a quiet road, with a beautiful treed lot. Huge backyard with tables and chairs and a grill. Gorgeous Victorian house that is impeccably clean. Lots of space, bedrooms are private, and streaming TV's in each. Kim and Mike are very welcoming and friendly. 40 minutes from Saratoga, and about 75 minutes from the heart of the Adirondack region. We loved it!

A lovely stay!

This was the perfect spot for our weekend away. When we first pulled in, it was dark but the home was lit up from the inside and had beauitful uplighting on the house's exterior detail, drawing us into the coziness of the home. Everything was nicely-decorated and felt homey. The AC doesn't work great on the 2nd floor, but they have ceiling fans in each room that kept us nice and cool. We have already booked for next year!

Country peace very clise to all Capital Region attractions

We were blessed to stay here for a week while visiting family. Kim and Mike were exceptional hosts enchanting our grandchild with their knowledge of gardening, chickens, and backyard animals. The house itself is comfortably furnished with many extras ( spices! foil and saran wrap! games! books!) provided. There are lively putdoor sitting areas on the front pirch and in the backyard. You are minutes from a bike trail, hiking at Thatcher or Five Rivers and so much more. We will be back!

We, ( Mike and Kim ) purchased this gracious home in June of 2015 and live in the owners unit on the left side of this 4000+sqft residence. Our home is and will always be an ever changing work in progress: always on the lookout for that next perfect antique or unique treasure to place inside, to the ongoing exterior yard work; adding perennial and vegetable gardens, working on the lawn and path down to the woods or just finding ways to make our guests more comfortable! Our goal is to provide all that one could need to make your stay relaxing and memorable. Between us, we have 7 children and 10 grandchildren, as well as two 10 year old pups; a Jack Russell named Token and a Jack Russell-Chihuahua mix named Peanut. If you have questions or a special request please don’t hesitate to contact us. We will get back to you promptly!
