Great place with all you need to have a great time

The house is exactly what you see in the pictures, the pool oasis is outstanding and the game room— my kids where super excited when we opened the door. There is everything you need for outside games, pickleball, beach toys and inside too, extra towels, sheets and blankets!! It was truly a ‘home’ experience.I would 100 % rent the bird house again!

Wonderful Nest in Lakeside

We really appreciated the attention to detail at The Birdhouse. There were all sorts of helpful gadgets, appliances, pantry items, beach towels, and really thoughtful design and decor throughout. We loved the back yard and especially the spa after long days out and about. The game room was really fun too. The layout really worked for our group, which included two tweens. Everyone found a nook that suited them. I like to bird so having the county park directly behind the house was great. We spent most days sightseeing; downtown San Diego was always an easy 30-40 mins away, even in rush hour. Lakeside itself is fairly quiet but has multiple grocery and restaurant options. Sarai’s Taco Shop was a surprise hit.The check in/check out process was super easy. We messaged Ryan with a few questions and he responded in just a few minutes every time. We would absolutely stay here again!

Ryan is the best

This stay was super dope. My team throughly enjoyed the properties. Mary's donut is a great place to have in the morning. Ryan was a super super dope host he made it even better to be on the property. I'm hoping to go back for the tournament and am hoping this property is available!

Getaway Staycation

The home was perfect for two sisters and four teenagers to meet and stay. There was an activity for everyone to do especially on a rainy day. No one was bored and we didn’t have to spend money on “outside” entertainment. It was the perfect accommodation and location. Thanks tons.

Too old for tablets

For a short business trip we stayed at the Birdhouse. The location was convenient for the local airport. The pool and spa,when heated, were great. The house had everything we needed and was comfortable.

Amazing home!!!

We loved every inch of this home. Literally a little paradise. The decor is so beautiful, it gives the home an extra sense of relaxation. Beds our comfy , kitchen has everything you need. Game room is awesome, and THE POOL, JACUZZI , FIRE PIT ARE LIKE BIENG IN A RESORT!!! we had an amazing time spent with family. Will definitely return!! Last but definitely not least , our host was the most helpful and accommodating!! Thank you!!

Oh my goodness!!! Perfection!

I wanted a pool all to ourselves for the 4th of July… we found that and so much more! We had a pool, spa that lit up at night! A fire pit to keep warm and make s’mores! Bbq well that’s obvious! A game room for when the kiddos wanted a break from the sun. It was stocked with air hockey, foosball table, darts… you name it and it was in there!! And that was just the outside and game room! Inside the house was beautiful. I don’t think there was even a corner over looked in planning. Comfy couches, lots of space to hangout. Kitchen was super clean and ready to use! Bathrooms were beautifully decorated and great water pressure! Beds were all really comfy! They even had extra towels for the pool in case we forgot ours! Communication was fantastic! They were literally a text message away, and always responded promptly! Which made checking in and out a breeze! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend my birthday!!! Just perfect!!

Our Lakeside retreat is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by beautiful mountains. Founded in 1886, Lakeside is rich in history. Behind the home is a small natural lake. It is truly a bird watcher's paradise.

Our property has a private sparkling pool to take a refreshing swim. You can enjoy our outdoor gas fire pit, maybe roast some marshmallows or hot dogs. We also have a palapa and private jacuzzi to enjoy! BONUS! Did we mention the game room? There is so much to do at our home without even leaving the property. Come make some memories at the Birdhouse SD.
