Smith Lake B&B is a private resort offering luxury accommodations on Alabama's pristine Lewis Smith Lake, the cleanest lake in the Southeast. For romantic vacations, couples’ weekend getaways, and honeymoons in Alabama, consider the Dock Suite at our lakeside B&B. The Dock is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a full kitchen. The decor is a mix of an alpine ski lodge and a beach cottage and has a beautiful view of Smith Lake from the windows and private deck.
The Dock Suite at Smith Lake B&B provides a luxury hotel alternative for your Alabama vacation getaway. This guest accommodation has a beautiful private covered porch and feels cozy. The suite contains a king-size bed in the bedroom with a sleeper sofa and a daybed in the den. It has a private bath and a kitchen/breakfast room. The kitchen is equipped with a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans. The den has a fireplace and satellite TV with DVD player. Entrance is from a private covered porch overlooking the gazebo and boat dock.
Parking available for cars, trucks and boat trailers.

Common areas include the gazebo with gas and charcoal grills, hot tub on the outdoor deck overlooking the lake and the B&B’s large boat dock, which provides lake access and slips for your boats or jets skis. The B&B provides fishing gear, floats, kayaks, and paddle boards for complimentary guest use.

The main house of Smith Lake B&B was constructed to be a small B&B on the shore of the lake in 1992. It was operated for a few years before being sold. It served as a family vacation retreat for about 8-10 years until acquired by Jim and Alex. They opened their lakeside resort for business in 2005. Jim and Alex worked overseas for about 15 years in several different countries. They traveled extensively and stayed in pensions, ryokans and other B&B-like lodging. Alex wanted to open a B&B on a lake when they returned to the USA. After an exhaustive search in the Tennessee Valley, they settled upon Smith Lake with its clean, uncrowded water, beautiful rock shoreline and affordable property. They have made a few modifications, added the Airstreams and boat dock and catered to many guests who visited Smith Lake. They added Real Estate services to be able to show lake properties to their guests.
The B&B has hosted guests from Europe, Asia, and Australia. We have had visitors from many states and have found property for many of our guests. We take pride in the level of service we provide.
