This three-bedroom desert home, every bedroom with its own bathroom and the third in a separate casita, is about 5 minutes from Pappy & Harriet's and full of custom lighting, furniture and decor.



The Space:

The Rockstar sits on 17 private acres near Pioneertown, with no nearby neighboring houses. The house is filled with custom lights, furniture and decor, and outside are a hot tub, a cowboy tub, a propane fire pit, a bubble chair and outdoor dining. Two bedrooms are in the main house and the third is in a casita with its own entrance, and each has an ensuite bathroom. It suits families and small groups of up to eight.

-Outdoor Amenities-

Seventeen private acres surround the house, with spots to take in the views and trails to explore. Soak in the hot tub under the stars, or cool off in the cowboy tub, a smaller 5-foot pill-shaped tub filled on demand for your stay; it is not an in-ground pool and is closed November through March. A propane fire pit, propane grill, outdoor dining area and bubble chair complete the yard, which is not fully fenced.



-Living Area-

The living area has custom lights, furniture and decor, a gas fireplace, a TV, a record player, a Bluetooth sound system, a foosball table, books and board games.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The full kitchen has a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, kettle and a pour-over coffee maker, with cookware, dinnerware and wine glasses. The propane grill and outdoor dining area are just outside.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

In the main house, the primary bedroom has a king bed and a private ensuite bathroom, and the guest room has a king bed and a Jack-and-Jill style ensuite bathroom shared with the main house. The casita, with its own entrance, has a queen bed and a private ensuite bathroom. A crib, travel crib and high chair are available.



-Surrounding Area-

The Rockstar is about 5 minutes from Pappy & Harriet's and the shops of Pioneertown, and about 10 minutes from La Copine. The Integratron, Old Town Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree village are each about 20 minutes away. Ride shares and taxis are available to get you to and from Pappy & Harriet's, and we recommend reserving dinner there in advance.

There are no dirt roads to the house.



Other Things to Note:

-Cowboy Tub-

The pool at The Rockstar is a smaller 5-foot pill-shaped cowboy tub, not an in-ground pool. It is filled on demand for your stay. The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during the winter months (November through March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.



-Cell Service-

Please note that there is no cell phone coverage at the property. Wi-Fi is available.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The hot tub and cowboy tub are serviced regularly, and service may fall during your stay. Our technician will go directly to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $1000. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

-Wildlife & Safety-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

For your security, there is an exterior camera facing the front door and driveway. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the hot tub.



-Weddings, Events and Photoshoots-

-Check-in and Check-out-

Check-in is after 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability and our cleaning schedule.



-Late Check-out-

Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.



-Check-out Tasks-

Before you leave, please wash any dirty dishes or load and start the dishwasher, place used towels on the bathroom floor, leave used beds unmade, turn off all lights, check for personal items, and lock all doors and windows. No other cleaning or trash removal is required unless noted elsewhere in this listing.



-Lost and Found-

Items left behind will incur a minimum return shipping fee of $50, depending on the shipping address.



-Quiet Hours-

Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please keep voices and music at a respectful level outdoors at all times, and turn off all music, including portable and vehicle audio, during quiet hours. Guests are responsible for any noise fines, and a minimum $1000 fine applies to any noise citation.



-Smoking-

Smoking of any kind, including cigarettes, cigars, vapes and cannabis, is not permitted inside the home. Outdoor smoking must be at least 20 feet from doors and windows, and all smoking materials must be fully put out and thrown away. Evidence of indoor smoking will result in smoke-removal charges and a $1000 fee.



-Visitors-

Only guests listed on the reservation may stay at or visit the property unless we approve it in advance, and the total number of people on the property may not exceed the listing's maximum occupancy. Please message us before inviting any visitors.



-Parking-

Please park only in the driveway or other designated parking areas on the property. Street parking is not permitted and may result in fines.



-Restricted Areas-

Any locked closet, room or storage area on the property is reserved for rental supplies and is off limits to guests. Guests may be held responsible for damage or missing items if a locked area is entered.



-Hot Tub and Cowboy Tub Care-

Please shower before using the hot tub and cowboy tub, and do not add bath products, oils or bubble bath to the water. Glass is not permitted in or near the water, and pets are not allowed in it. Please keep covers in place whenever the water is not in use. Please avoid using the hot tub right after it has been serviced, while chemical levels are temporarily higher. Misuse that requires extra cleaning, draining or reheating will be charged to the guest, and leaving a cover off may result in a servicing fee of at least $100.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
