Amazing getaway

The house was perfect for a girls’ weekend getaway! We stayed with seven people and had plenty of room. The house is gorgeous and so comfortable. Lots to do at the house and in the surrounding area.

Oak Hill Oasis

It is a lovely home inside with plenty of space and a fully stocked kitchen (for plates, glasses, appliances). Good location for access to main roads. The living room with the grey couch had the most comfortable chairs.

Family Time

Well suited for family gatherings! Comfortable outdoor space complete with picnic table, and plenty of comfortable seating. charcoal grill, and nice fire pit! We appreciated the great water pressure for showering after a fun day of river rafting! This VRBO is in close proximity to Fayetteville and great restaurants. Truly enjoyed our stay! The host was fabulous!

Great stay

We really enjoyed the stay in Oak Hill. The house was very clean and put together. The kids loved the game room. The neon lights really made the space, we want them for our own house! Kevin was super responsive with anything I brought up. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks.

Beyond Impressed with this VRBO

We loved staying here and plan to book again in the future! It was so spacious for our family and the furniture (couches and beds) were super comfy. The shower water pressure and heat temperature was amazing in the main bathroom. The kitchen and all of the appliances were awesome. My kids had fun playing the games. It was too cold for us to enjoy the yard but that looked like a great place to relax and hang out. The owner was very nice and quick to respond when we sent him a message. I have never been to that town before but it was super cute. I loved all of the bear statues around town. I would absolutely recommend this VRBO to everyone!

Charming is the right word

Stayed here for a multi family weekend getaway. The surrounding neighborhood/area wasn't much to look at (aside from the nearby park area), but thankfully things took a much nicer turn when we went inside. Very cool layout, with several different ways to reach most of the main areas of the house. The lights were a little tricky to figure out, but thankfully there were instructions left my the host, Kevin. He was also very responsive when we reached out. I'll echo the other reviewer about the door my the carport: you definitely need to give it a bit of a shove to get it open. Backyard with deck, grill and fire pit was a major plus, as was the proximity to nearby attractions. Lots of sleeping space as well. All in all, a great value for the money!

Property facilitates lovely gathering

Driving into the property took us through the small town of Oak Hill, with that whole small town feeling. The house is very deceiving, in a good way. While I had a hard time opening the door (you have to put some oompf into it), I was pleasantly surprised at the many rooms outfitted to facilitate lots of conversation. All rooms were decorated well, even hanging seats which were fun. Our group each picked our bedrooms and the beds were very comfortable. The neighbors were very friendly, with one lady stopping in her car just to welcome us to WV. The kitchen was great, very roomy and ready to cook. We really didn't want to eat out and didn't have to. The wedding at Glen Jean was easy to get to and the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve was not far from the house and is an amazing sight to see. The bridge is an engineering masterpiece, built in 1977. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the host was prompt in answering any questions we had. Thank you so much, Kevin.

Charming house and neighborhood

I wasn't so sure about where we were staying when we approached the house. We came in from a weird direction and the area leading up to it left me a little concerned However, when we reached the area with the house, it was a different story. There were people out walking and biking and skateboarding. My husband and I went for a walk the last morning, and the walking trail is great. People were friendly and said hello. We went to two different ice cream shops in the surrounding area. both were friendly and super yummy. We went white water rafting with New and Gauley River Adventures. A full day down part of the New, and enjoyed it immensely. The house was comfortable, well placed, quiet, and large enough for our family. Towels were clean, dishwasher was quiet. We didn't use the fire pit, but the backyard was a sweet escape from the world. I had some questions that would have been easily answered if I had read the book at the house when I first arrived, but Kevin was patient and quick to answer questions. Two thumbs up and we would definitely stay here again.
