This is a unique renovated church. The kitchen is fully equipped. There are at least 3 different sized dining tables, a pool table and several gaming tables, with a sitting area in front if a gas fure place. No central heating or air. Space heaters in each bedroom. The bedrooms are small, but the beds are comfortable. No towel racks in bathroom. No lightswitch in kitchen - its at the other end of the building behind swinging doors. The back door needs to be replaced. None of these were deal breakers - just inconvenient. Perfect place for a family.

We absolutely loved staying in this charming church. Our extended family rented multiple places to stay while attending a family wedding nearby, but this place won all the kudos for the best place to stay . We would definitely book it again.

The kitchen was well appointed with new appliances and everything we needed. The great room was very large and cozy at the same time. The bedrooms were a little small but that is to be expected as they were the children's classrooms when this building served as a church. The host was prompt to address any problems we had.

This is kind of an odd property. It’s in a very good, central location to visit Charlevoix, Petoskey, etc. Had a large central room with an excessive amount of seating, nice fireplace, clean and well stocked kitchen and decent bathroom with plenty of towels and supplies. However, some of the furniture and window sills were very dusty and dirty, with spiderwebs on several of the sills. In the kitchen, only 2 of the five lights in the fixture worked. There is no access to the thermostat in the house, so we were told to just turn the fireplace on. It does not heat the whole place due to the large open area, so we were very chilly at night. The light switches were in odd places. The bedrooms could use basic things like wastebaskets, mirrors and more shelving or storage and the beds were pretty hard with no mattress pads, just a sheet directly on the mattress. But the most concerning thing was the lack of window coverings and feeling somewhat unsafe and vulnerable. In the main room, only one window and the glass entrance doors had blinds and another had a stick-on design. All the others were wide open. The three access doors to the house were either very flimsy or glass panes that could easily be broken into. The house is right behind the police station, however the lack of privacy and security was somewhat disconcerting. The overall feeling was that owners did the bare basics to make this place rentable, although they did do a nice job on the kitchen.

This is an adorable property! A lot of effort was put in to make the kitchen and bathroom modern and new. There is a lot of room to hang out snd play pool or games. We had a lot of fun!

Nice Building

The big open floor plan gave us plenty of room to be together but also do our own thing. Pool table was a nice touch. Walking distance to town and to the water. There was a festival in town with live music and fireworks on the water. We could see the fireworks through the large glass windows which was great.

Really enjoyable place to stay! The only downside was the hotter temps during the day made it pretty warm inside the home but opening the windows and turning on a couple fans helped.

Quiet neighborhood and unique location

What a unique experience it was to stay in this historic building! With a modern kitchen and bath, the bedrooms were super quiet and comfortable. If you’re staying here and the weather is bad, there are plenty of activities right here in this space. It is spacious, yet set up in a very cozy, comfortable way. We really appreciated the quiet sindd CSS e we stayed with our son, his wife and their 5-month old baby.

Just what we were looking for

The church property met all our needs. The main "church" area was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials, and the fireplace was warm and toasty. Thanks very much for a memorable stay. We hope to be back again!

Spacious common area

LOVE how a church was repurposed! Furniture was comfy. Lots of places to sit and congregate if you were with a group. Beds were very comfortable and blankets and towels very luxurious.

East Jordan stay

Place was perfect for our family of 5. We loved that it was walking distance to town while being spacious and comfortable. Had a pool table and it was a lot more fun than we had expected!
