Little Black House 5 Minutes to Higgins Lake

Relax in this calm, stylish space, a peaceful, cozy escape newly remodeled. Tucked in the trees off a private drive, on one acre of wooded property. Offering a nice amount of privacy, our chalet sits nestled between both Higgins Lake and Houghton Lake, maximizing activities for all seasons. Inside was thoughtfully and professionally designed, with the utmost comfort in mind. A blend of modern and casual, featuring an open floor plan with many windows creating a bright and airy atmosphere.

The Space:
Featuring two king size beds each, in their own bedrooms and two additional full size beds in the loft. Each outfitted with the coziest linens and plenty of extra blankets and pillows to keep you comfortable. One full bath on the main level and a half bath upstairs lets everyone spread out when nature calls. We do provide a washer and dryer in the home, a bathroom scale, iron and ironing board, cozy bed linens and fluffy towels. There are two smart televisions, one in the living room and one in the primary bedroom on the main level. We also have satellite Wifi. We do provide some basics to get your vacation started right, toilet paper, paper towel, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry detergent for a couple loads of laundry, dish soap, hand soap, a first aid kit if needed and 2 fire extinguishers (one for each level). Outside, we have a small deck for eating lunch or dinner or just sitting and stargazing. A soft hammock for lazily reading a book or taking a mid-day snooze after a refreshing swim in crystal clear Higgins Lake. Roasting marshmallows and making s’mores while sharing fun memories and stories by our new bonfire pit is sure to set your vacation apart.

Guests will have access to the full home, with exception to an owners closet on the main level and the garage behind the home, which will remain locked. Guest must sign Rental Agreement upon booking.

We are family friendly, and provide a pack n’ play, high chair, child friendly dishes, utensils as well as games, puzzles and books.

The kitchen is fully equipped with brand new appliances and plates, bowls, glassware, utensils, cooking utensils, cookware, cookbooks, bake ware, an omelet maker, blender, toaster, microwave, food scale, hand mixer, Keurig coffee maker with accouterments, bowls, salt and pepper and Pam spray.

We welcome friend getaways, romantic escapes, and families. Slow down, rejuvenate and connect with nature. LGBTQA are welcome.

Home is located half mile down a private dirt road. Home does not have A/C, or a dishwasher/garbage disposal. Two exterior camera doorbells (one on side, one on front). Must be 25 years or older to rent (no third party bookings).
