Private Waterfront Suite

Our mother-in-law suite is ideal for a quick trip or serene getaway. Fishing is abundant here and we encourage boating and other activities (excluding swimming). There is no interior entrance from the main house to the suite so you have complete peace and quiet. Everything you need for a peaceful stay. Pets are welcome and we value our guests privacy! We have 1 queen bed and a futon as well as a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee station. The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful in our cove and it truly is peaceful country living. Guests are welcome to use the boat dock to tie off boats. We also have a private boat ramp if guests want to bring their own boats, kayaks, or jet skis.

This is Lake Blackshear and there ARE alligators in this lake. Therefore, we ask that guests do not swim. We also ask that guests also do not enter the boat house, main house, or restricted areas (they are marked).

A short girls trip for my wife and her sister. They LOVED EVERYTHING, especially sitting in the screened in porch by the water. Host was perfect, rental was as advertised. Will stay again.

Was a perfect stay. We didnt bring our four legged friend but were grateful we could. Bed was comfortable, my son slept in the chair (I may need buy one when we get home) Everything was neat and clean as expected.

This was a perfect little find for my son and his buddy. They visited their hunting property and then enjoyed some fishing. Launching their small boat from the private boat ramp was easy. The host was friendly and communication was great!

It was a nice cozy spot for a one night stay. Very adorable spacious one room with everything you need. The water wasn't in during my stay but sitting on the back patio taking in the beautiful scenery was enough for me.

Clean, comfortable bed, basic amenities, downside- it’s off the beaten path which makes it not as convenient to restaurants and stores. Upside- it is quiet and an interesting location. It was perfect for our one night stay.

The stay was ok but it was not what I expected, good thing the other couple was not able to make it because it appeared to have 2 beds but it only had 1, the cat came in it room and there was cat hair on the sheets so we had to change them when we arrived. And there are no close stores in the area. It's about 20-25 minutes to a store. Just not my type of place.

Ma'am no where in my description or photos is there 2 beds. There is one queen bed and a pull out couch and a futon. I will speak to my cleaner about the sheets.

Great For One or Two Golfers

I decided to do a solo, three night golf retreat in Cordele at Veterans Memorial Golf Course. I stayed at this suite because I didn't need anything more, and the price was very reasonable.Similar to a hotel room. It was very clean, and had everything I needed. Besides golf, I was looking for quiet, so I was fine with a place out in the country, without any nearby stores.Like a hotel room or apartment, it is not a freestanding structure, and the hosts live on the floor above. This means you may occasional hear footsteps. So depending on your preferences, this rental rates five stars at a steller price.

Very nice room below the main house. The room was very clean and smelled great. I recommend getting there before dark because it is in a very rural area and it gets very dark very quick this time of year. The house is on a lagoon with the most beautiful Cypress trees. There is a deck out back to sit and enjoy the water, but the owner mentioned there may be some bugs. The water is part of Lake Blackshear, an 8700 acre lake good for fishing and boating. The area is very much agricultural with the main crops being cotton, beans, peanuts and pecans. It was super quiet and dark - great star gazing. There is no kitchen but there is a small refrigerator and a nice coffee maker. My wife and I had a very nice evening in the area and a great night's sleep. I noticed a boat ramp on the property but I don't know if it was available to use or how deep the water was in the logoon. I'm sure the owner can comment on these thoughts. Overall, my wife and I very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay there again. Thank you.
