THE SPACE
The interior of Sandy Shores provides a great atmosphere for unwinding, relaxing, and spending time with your guests. The sumptuous living room, with its super-comfy wraparound couch, fireplace, and big-screen TV, is an excellent place to kick back and relax. In this open space you have ample seating options, from the dining table to the bar at the kitchen counter.

Add to all these seating options the wonderful natural light and sweet views out the expansive windows, and you’ll agree that the Sandy Shores’ living, dining, and kitchen space is set up perfectly for easy vacation relaxation!
We should mention the kitchen is dreamy, too, with all you need for cooking up scrumptious vacation meals, including top-of-the-line stainless-steel appliances – yes, a dishwasher, too – a full array of cooking and eating utensils, pots, pans, plates, bowls, plenty of room to move around, and a cool Keurig coffeemaker, plus some essential pantry items.

Stepping out from the kitchen you have a nicely set up patio with the trees for privacy. There is a grill for late summer meals and comfortable patio furniture to lounge on while the sun sets on the lazy day.

All 3 bedrooms are upstairs and feature stylish décor, plenty of storage space, and high-quality bedding and linens to ensure a sound sleep and sweet dreams! And did we mention that each bedroom has a flat-screen, fully programmed TV? Oh, yeah! By the way, the primary bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and two of the three bedrooms have roomy walk-in closets.

One unique feature of Sandy Shores is the converted garage game room, where guests of all ages can enjoy endless entertainment. Challenge friends to foosball, air hockey, ping pong, or a game of cornhole—this fun space ensures that even rainy days are filled with laughter and friendly competition.

The outside area in front and behind Sandy Shores features tall, beautiful trees, which you can see through many of the inside windows. There’s a simple back stoop and a commonly shared firepit, as well.

One of the best features of Sandy Shores is close proximity to a number of pristine, crystal-sand Lake Michigan beaches, with First Street Beach being a short ~0.6-mile walk away. Also within walking distance is Harbor Club South Haven, where you and your guests will have access to their seasonal heated outdoor pool, year-round indoor pool, and exquisite clubhouse. You will also have access to their private boat rentals, golf-cart and low-speed vehicle rentals, and kayak or dinghy rentals.

Being located in the quaint lakeside resort town of South Haven – often called "The Catskills of the Midwest" – you can also enjoy excellent restaurants and cafes, great shopping at stylish boutiques, treasure-hunting at popular antique markets, and exploring the fine arts and crafts at distinguished galleries. If it suits the occasion, you and your guests can explore numerous local award-winning wineries and breweries – wonderful tours are available – or try your hand at nearby golf courses or hiking and biking trails. There are also many activities afforded by being just a short drive from the region’s largest recreational harbor, including day or night cruises and fishing excursions. Don’t forget that Sandy Shores is also an ideal winter vacation rental, with skiing, ice skating, cross-country skiing, and many winter activities to dive into! And yes, we’re as pet-friendly as can be – just be sure to mention any pets when making your reservation.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
To ensure a safe and compliant stay, all guests are required to complete identity verification prior to check-in. A valid government-issued photo ID will be collected and verified, and the name on the ID must match the credit card used for payment. When applicable, a background screening may also be required as part of the booking process.

All guests are required to review and sign Juniper Holiday + Home's Guest Occupancy Agreement prior to check-in. While we understand that events can affect your trip, it is our policy to stick to the agreed-upon cancellation policy in the listing. We recommend purchasing vacation travel insurance if you suspect you may need to cancel your reservation.

The minimum age to rent this home is 25.

A non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver is included with your reservation. This waiver covers accidental damage or loss to the rental property caused by you or members of your party up to a maximum of $2,000. This plan does not cover intentional acts, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

We welcome up to 2 dogs at this home at no additional charge. Please include the number of pets you plan to bring or let our team know after booking. 

Out of respect for our staff and their families, we do not permit check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. Thank you for your understanding.
