Positives: The property was in good condition. The bathrooms were amazing, and it was nice to have a laundry room and large closets.The beds were comfortable, and the tv and internet access were easy to use. The HVAC was great and the ceiling fans were helpful with temperature control. Excellent refrigerator with cubed and crushed ice.There was a lot of good patio furniture and outdoor lighting.Things to Note: There was not enough seating in the family room; there was only a couch. The other downside was the lighting; there were no lamps in the family room and only 1 in each bedroom. The ceiling lights were not conducive to reading or chatting. The kitchen was not well stocked for cooking utensils. The outside of the whole house needs to be power washed; there was a lot of mold, especially on the main patio.

Mt Pleasant Gem

We enjoyed staying at this property, was great location in Mt Pleasant! We did have trouble with the internet but it was communicated with host. Overall good communication and easy instructions

Perfect place for a us

It was exactly as pictured. Very quiet neighborhood too. The seating in the living room was sparse, but we moved in some of the outdoor chairs.

Family Wedding Weekend

The house is super cute with an updated kitchen. The three bedrooms worked out well for our party of 3 adult couples and 3 small dogs. The two bedroom closets are huge. The third bedroom had a small sitting area with a sofa. The backyard is fenced with a couple of different outside seating options. The weather was cold so we didn’t use the outside seating, but it would be useful in warmer weather. We had a bit of trouble getting checked in because the door code did not match what was sent to us, but I was able to contact the host and get the correct code fairly quickly. The en-suite bathroom shower is tricky to operate and I recommend that instructions be provided in the church in information, as the host stated that almost everyone who stays there has trouble figuring it out. Also, there is only a couch in the living room, which was unexpected in a 3 bedroom listing. Additional seating is definitely needed, and there is plenty of room for two arm chairs in the space. Adding a couple chairs would make it more comfortable for larger groups such as ours, and no one would have to sit on the floor or bring in a kitchen chair. Aside from these few deficits, our experience was great! I highly recommend this listing, and will stay here again if we are in the area.

Terrible management /communication

The check in code was incorrect. We could not reach “owner” via text or phone (Sea Island Homes management) beginning at about 10:20PM. Also received no help from VRBO after over an hour of text and calls. Checked into a hotel at midnight. Received correct code from manager next day, but needed both door code and lockbox for key to get the door code to work. Manager updated door code on VRBO site thereafter (just shows door code though and it’s glitchy), but WIFI was wrong. Took several more texts to get hotel reimbursed. Checked out 2 nights early, but of course no credit. Older small home, renovated in a decent manner but bedding and towels were very cheap. Musty smells were everywhere, likely due to home being shut up for a while. Doors and walls are scuffed up and yard hadn’t been touched in a while. AC/ heat vents were dirty. All seems due to the management company not being on top of things. Wasn’t expecting anything luxury given the price but would much rather stay at a nearby pet friendly hotel.

Safe Haven

Dog friendly, walking neigborhoid close to groceries and Shem Creek restaurants, 10 minutes to Charleston; comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice kitchen, too.
