Leave your vehicle behind for the convenience of exploring on-foot or take a short walk to any of the shuttle or trolley pick up spots! This location is steps away from the delicious restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and parks that Friday Harbor offers.

You can relax and watch a movie in your private room with two queen beds and a full bathroom.

The China Pearl Suite is located off of Spring Street and when windows are open, you may hear slight street noise.

This is the perfect spot for a solo traveler, couples, or a group trip to San Juan Island. Rent a single room or multiple rooms for your experience on San Juan Island.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A very convenient location. The room was comfortable & nicely decorated. The common area was useful - the labeled bins in the refrigerators & extra coffee supplies were appreciated! The road noise from the trucks coming off the early morning ferries was pretty intense, but without air conditioning, leaving windows open was necessary. This may be specific to the China Pearl suite as it faces directly onto the main street of town where all ferry traffic exits. Communication with owners was good when they needed to enter to check on a plumbing issue, but both the front door & suite door were left unlocked by whoever entered. That was a little upsetting to find when we returned that morning, but no harm in the end. Overall, I would recommend.

Yes, excellent all around place was spotless… group group shared area with refrigerators was very clean and very organized. Each little apartment has its own little shelf in the fridge…. Fully stocked with dishes and everything you would need to cook if you wanted to…. He worked excellent with a great variety of choices on the cable…. And lots of correct coffee available… the Keurig coffee makers also very quiet at night…. In our apartment also had a nice bathtub with good hot water. We highly recommend staying here. It was really sweet.!!!

Great stay for a quick trip to Friday Harbor and San Juan Island. Great concept of individual rooms similar to a hotel with great common space! Will definitely stay again!

Enjoyed our Stay

We really enjoyed our weekend on the island. I’m glad we chose Blue Water Suites for our 2 night stay. It was a great location. I personally loved the community style main area. Everyone was respectful and kind. I definitely plan on staying again next year!

Disc golf in the rain;)

Killer spot just off the ferry. Super clean, sweet beds, walk to everything. Disc golf in Roche Harbor was amazing!

A Little Gem

We stayed at the Blue Water Inn for a girls’ trip, and we were pleasantly surprised. Management was wonderfully communicative. The property was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable, and the location was fabulous! We loved being able to walk around downtown and explore the harbor.

The room was clean and spacious, but the road noise was pretty bad. If you have a sensitive sleep you should avoid this place (and probably any other place that faces the Spring street

Clean but very hot at night

The room was very clean &new, very basic but the thermostat was set at 80 degrees. We tried to contact the VEBO rep several times. They finally responded that there was a fan in the room & that should suffice. Luckily it cooled down outside but I would not stay there in the summer.

Since your requests came through via email after our office was closed, we did not receive your messages until our office opened in the morning. Our after-hours phone number is posted in the suite and in the check-in directions. There is AC in the common area and fans are provided in the rooms. We apologize that you felt your needs were not being acknowledged; that is the opposite experience we wish for our guests.

Great downtown location, close to the ferry terminal. Very clean, 2nd floor rooms, up about 15 stairs. Rooms are like staying in a home, more than a hotel. The rooms are up 15 stairs that have great grip and a steady handrail.There is a community kitchen and living space at the end of the hallway past the rooms.in the communal area there are 2 large refridgerators, and oven and store, and a large drop in freezer. There is even a communial deck that overlooks the ferry terminal. The rooms are all connected by a long hall way. The doors to the rooms are ones like you'd have at a home but all have keypad entry. The rooms are very clean and new. There are no minifridges in the room, but the 2 large communal fridges have totes labeled for your food to be stored. This is a great location if you are an early riser. The ferries start to arrive at 5am, and so do the loud trucks. The town in quiet at night once the last ferry arrives. Parking is street parking only. There is public parking a couple blocks away. But parking is allowed on the street overnight. 2 hour limit on parking from 8am-5pm. we never had trouble finding parking during the week. The bulding feels very safe and secure. The rooms do not have minifridges, so you have to use the main communal refridgerators. The rooms do not have A/C, but the weather and wind is good. The rooms do have a wall heater, which we didn't use. The wifi was good as I was traveling for work, and was able to join meetings.

The location is great for walking Friday Harbor as you are staying directly in the middle of town. The drawback was the noise level. Our room (1 out of 6 with a shared dining/living room space) was the China Pearl and we overlooked Spring street which is the main boulevard through town and directly across from the ferry load/unload zone so during the ferry unload there is an excessive amount of traffic and subsequently noise. The room itself was very clean and new feeling with plenty of space but not much in it. Could use a desk or possibly a small couch. Three large windows so even on a hot day we could regulate the temperature as there was no air conditioning. There was a large fan in the room which helped considerably but there was no box of tissue and we only had one wash cloth between the two of us for three nights. The shared space was very large and the kitchen was clean and had anything you might need to prepare meals. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to friends as long as you get the China Pearl (3 large windows) or the Shogun which I believe has its own balcony.

The room was very clean. The beds comfortable. The location is great. It is right off the ferry, so it can be noisy at times. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend bringing ear plugs. However, that’s a reasonable trade off for being in such an excellent location.

You are walking distance to all shops, restaurants and all that the harbor has to offer. The room was very clean and comfortable. Lots of space for 2 or even 4 people. With the added bonus of the living area (shared with other guests), its super convenient. While we were there, we did not see another person so we really used the living spaces for lounging and making snacks and cocktails. The view is a little obstructed but you can still see the harbor. I would definitely stay here again.
