This luxury first floor apartment has 3 bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and sea views from all aspects. Found within the heart and soul of the charming and up market village of Foz do Arelho located where the Obidos lagoon meets the Atlantic Ocean in the highly fashionable Silver Coast only 45 minutes from Lisbon.
A modern and spacious open- concept combined living and dining room with walkout to balcony with stunning views of the beach and clear view of the infinity pool (perfect for keeping an eye on the kids as they play in the pool).
The apartment is situated in a gated condominium with private parking and a three tiered infinity pool. Within a short 2 minute walk to the beach (rated one of the best in Europe) where you can enjoy all sorts of activities. Whether you are looking for sunbathing, surfing, swimming, fishing or hunting for seashells with the children this is the perfect place to unwind.
Colourful kiosks line the promenade as well as many bars, cafes and restaurants. If you are eating “at home” the kitchen is spacious and fully equipped or you may prefer to take a walk along the promenade. All the restaurants are great value for money and include restaurants in the area where you can dine while watching the sunset over the ocean.
Travel a little further along the lagoon and you could even take up a new sport at the windsurfing school. Foz do Arelho is popular with families as well as couples.
The city of Caldas da Rainha is less than a ten minute drive or bus ride away. Caldas has excellent shopping in open air markets and fashionable boutiques. Day to day shopping is easy as there are several hypermarkets.

Excellent view, two minutes walk from beach

Nice beach, quiet location, not dar from touristic places...excellent for relaxing hollidays. Only one caveat: the walk to/from the beach is very steep if you are too lazy to walk (but in that case you should not go to an athlantic beach) The apartment is VERY nice and high quality

Great stay

The stay and the apartment were great. The apartment is really big with all the facilities needed (kitched well equipped, Cable TV, Internet, heating, air conditioning, etc..). We were 3 people looking for a quiet stay to chill out, thing that we could do as the condominium is really peaceful. The swimming pool is huge and the sea views astonishing. Very very recomendable place to go to.

Fantastic Foz

We had a wonderful stay in this great apartment. It was very spacious, well equipped and we loved the pool area. Licinias prepared a great background document on recommendations for the local area which we found very useful. We loved the local food markets and made the most of the amazing produce in the very well equipped kitchen. We loved the beach, had great fun canoeing in the lagoon and visited many charming and historic towns. We would recommend this base for anyone who wants to explore central Portugal.

Maria was most welcoming to this well equipped, quiet comfortable home from home. The apartment is in a beautiful setting, with stunning views. Close to the lovely town of Foz do Arelho and right above the stunning beach with all the great facilities on offer. A great spot for an enjoyable break for family or a couple.

Beautiful property right on the beach. Property was very clean. Perfect location and amazing view from the balcony. Pool is clean and well-maintained and there are great places to eat just steps away. Furniture is comfortable, WI-FI is fast and property is equipped with every appliance you may require. Beautiful place, incredible town!

We starter our honeymoon in Foz at this beautiful place, and it was the perfect place to relax, eat amazing food, swim (ocean AND pool), and get to know Portugal. I HIGHLY recommend staying here! It's a fully stalked kitchen, so we would go to the local market, as well as go down the the beach (5min walk) and eat at the great restaurants. We were able to visit Lisbon and Porto easily by bus and did some great day trips. Can't recommend this place enough, we will return!

Fabulous place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Licinia's apartment in Foz. The apartment was clean and well appointed. Lots of room for us to spread out and the view is amazing. We enjoyed trips to Caldas for the market (only 15 minutes away) and walks to coffee shops and restaurants close by. And the best part...the beach! It is a very close (bear in mind that it is a bit of a downhill jaunt there and uphill back which didn't bother us). We had a great time watching the kite surfers on the lagoon side and the surf on the ocean side. Licinia was very attentive to any and all questions. Hope to return someday!

Great apartment in wonderful location.

We had a great week in Lucinia's apartment which was spacious, clean and had everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. On site there is a swimming pool so you can chill out there but the beach and the lagoon is really something special, just a few minutes walk away down the hill. We spent a lot of time there, here you get a nice refreshing Atlantic breeze. Foz itself is a lovely place with several good seafront resturants very close to the apartment and others in the village a few minutes drive or 20 minute walk away where there's also a local supermarket. Everyone we met was very friendly. I have teenagers who were able to go out and stay out quite late perfectly safely and they made friends with some of the locals. All in all, a memorable week and I would love to return one day. You can't go wrong here and the apartment was a perfect place to base ourselves.

Superwohnung

Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr grosszügig und gut eingerichtet. Vom Mixer in der Küche über die Liegestühle für den Pool bis zur Strandausrüstung (Windschutz und Sonnenschirm) ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Die Bausubstanz ist sehr gut, man hört nichts von den Nachbarn. Die Tiefgarage ist sehr praktisch, da man am Wochenende weitherum keinen Parkplatz findet. Die Besitzerin ist sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns z. B. kurzfristig die Wegbeschreibung zur Stierkampfarena gemailt. Ein Stern Abzug, weil auf den Fotos den Eindruck entsteht, man könnte vom Balkon auf den Atlantik sehen. Diesen sieht man nur vom Pool aus, vom Balkon schaut man auf die Lagune (rechtes Bild). Auch hat es auf dem Balkon nur zwei Stühle, man kann also nicht draussen essen. Ausserdem könnte die Wohnung sauberer sein. Zwei Tipps: Gehen Sie bei schönem Wetter an den Strand und warten Sie mit den Ausflügen nach Obidos und Batalha, bis die Nebeltage kommen (gibt es auch im Juli!). An der Lagune gibt es eine Windsurfschule und im Ort eine Surfschule - für Teenager sehr empfehlenswert.

Fantastic

Would totally recommend this property if you are looking for a relaxing quiet vacation.excellent facilities. Foz is off the beaten path but well worth a visit.It is hilly so If you struggle to walk up and down steps and slopes this may not be for you. Home owner Licinia answered emails very quickly, great communication, even mailed the keys prior to arrival because we were not sure what time we would arrive! Great little supermarket in town which is a short drive, plus we ate in the Pizza place next door a lot. We also tried surf lessons with the school in Caldas , Antonio picked us up from the condo! Totally recommended.

A Wonderful Apartment in a great location

This is a really good apartment for a holiday or break in Foz do Arelho and the surrounding area. The apartment is clean, well equipped, in a really nice development and perfectly located for the fantastic beach. Nearby are several excellent beach-front cafes and restaurants and the village of Foz, with further amenities and a choice of good restaurants, is within walking distance. The owner provided comprehensive information which helped us immensely and we received excellent personal customer service throughout.

Really comfortable, well equipped apartment

We have just stayed for 2 weeks in August and found the apartment very spacious and comfortable for our party of 5 (3 adults and 2 children). We had a warm welcome when we arrived. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of cutlery, crockery and other equipment. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and there is a lovely open plan sitting room and dining area. The children loved the 3 tier pool which we usually had to ourselves in the morning/early afternoon despite it being peak holiday season. There are great views of the pool and beach from the balcony, with the beach and lagoon within easy reach. The underground garage was a bonus as parking is very difficult at peak times. We found the ability to use beach towels, sun umbrellas and beach toys at the apartment particularly useful. All round a great place to stay.

Apartment mit Bestausstattung in Traumlage

Das Apartment ist riesig und sehr hochwertig ausgestattet. Es fehlt an nichts. Entspricht vollständig den Bildern. Kontaktaufnahme mit der Vermieterin rasch und unkompliziert. Vermieterin stellte uns gutes Infomaterial über die Umgebung und Restauranttips zur Verfügung. Vor Ort ist die Mutter der Vermieterin (Maria) über Telefon jederzeit ansprechbar. 3 Schlafzimmer (Doppelbett, 2 Einzelbetten, komfortables Stockbett) insgesamt 7 Schlafmöglichkeiten. Traumhafter Balkon (Ostlage daher windgeschützt) mit Blick auf den Pool, die Lagune und das Meer. Die Lagune ist in ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Baden ist hier gefahrlos möglich, das Wasser ist jedoch bei ca. 19 Grad sehr kalt. Unser Sohn genoss (nur an einigen Tagen möglich) das Bad in den sehr hohen Wellen (Strand ist an einem kleinen Abschnitt zum Baden bewacht). Alles ist noch sehr ländlich und im Vergleich zur Algarve auch sehr ruhig. Die Poolanlage ist traumhaft, sehr gepflegt und windgeschützt, es wurde uns auf Anfrage auch klappbare Liegestühle für den Poolbereich zur Verfügung gestellt (nochmals vielen Dank!!) Resttauranttipp am Ort: O`Tavola (schwarzes Schwein einfach unschlagbar!) Hatten an mehreren Tagen leider Nebel bis zum Mittag, dies ist an diesem Abschnitt der Küste jedoch wohl häufig so. Apartment ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen, wir haben den Aufenthalt nach der doch viel besuchten Algarve sehr genossen.

Beautiful accommodation in a fantastic location!

This accommodation was even nicer than we expected.. The lady who greeted us was very patient about our delay in arriving (car hire hassles) and very helpful... The accommodation was perfect and especially the kitchen, as we all love to cook and it was really well stocked with utensils, dishes etc.... The area is one of the best we've ever stayed in with the most amazing beaches.... And because of the lagoon you have a choice of sitting by the calm sea or by the pounding waves only a few hundred metres away. The beach is really clean and well looked after and there are lots of beach bars/ restaurants.... The drive to and from Lisbon is really easy and quick - about an hour and we really enjoyed the aquarium especially The pools are great and the view over the beach is amazing.... Highly recommended - we hope to visit again ourselves....

Wonderful,relaxed family holiday

We travelled as a family of four; the kids are 4 and 6 years old. Delighted by apartment. Fantastic view from balcony over the swimming pool to Lagoon beyond. Comfortable and clean. Felt like a home and had all the mode cons we needed, WIFI, broadband, DVD player, washing machine and dishwasher. This made travelling with kids much easier. The two bathrooms were handy and had lovely heated floors. There was no noise from outside so we had no trouble getting to sleep. The apartment was easy to cook in and had all the equipment you would need to make a meal. The pool is lovely if not a bit on the cold side for us but this did not seem to bother anyone else. We loved the beach and particularly appreciated the use of beach towels, wind breaks and a parasol for our trips to the beach. The temperature suited everyone as the coastal breeze kept my husband and daughter cool and the wind breaks meant I could toast nicely on the beach too. The beach is 5-10 minute walk from the apartment and the quickest way is down two large flights of stairs although if using a buggy there is an alternative route past the ice-cream shop. When booking Licinia was extremely helpful and responsive to any queries we had. She was easy to contact and swift to respond. The booklet she provided about the apartment and surrounding areas was extremely helpful for providing directions to supermarkets and suggestions about places to eat. Our favourite was Pescador a brilliant seafood restaurant in Foz Do Arelho. Maria was also on hand if we had any queries during our stay. I would definitely recommend the apartment to families wishing a relaxed holiday The resort is not overly touristy but has a great relaxed and authentic Portuguese feel to it. We loved the beach which felt quite safe as the lagoon did not have the big waves that you can find on a beach by the sea. However, if seeking thrills in the waves you can find them over the sand dunes from the lagoon or if you take a drive to nearby Nazare. There is also a water sports centre in Foz Do Arelho where we took out a canoe but there was also a chance to do a Wind/Kite Surfing and other water activities for more adventurous family members. We would definitely recommend hiring a car. We visited many places including taking a day trip to Lisbon where we went to the Knowledge Pavilion- an interactive science centre and the Ocenario de Lisboa to see the sea turtles and other sea life.

FANTASTIC!

Fantastic apartment, location and country. The apartment very modern, clean, spacious and well equiped. The owner was very acommodating to any needs/requests we had as we have to small babies. Great location although I would definitely recommend hiring a car. Beautiful views from the balcony, great pool, and lovely apartment. Will definitley return. I would highly recommmend this apartment to anyone - it is of a very high standard.

Absolutely perfect!

We are a family of 5 (kids aged 15,14 and 6) and have just returned from a wonderful week in this apartment. The location is great, the beach never seemed busy and ticked the boxes for us - gentle lagoon waters for the youngest, big waves on the other side for the teenagers. The apartment was very well equipped, it was nice to have more than just the standard "6" of everything in the kitchen, it was spotlessly clean and Maria was very friendly and welcoming. The pool was great too, we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves every day. Can also recommend a drive to Sao Martinho in the evenings just along the coast, the DIY ice-cream parlour there is a must!! Many thanks Licinia for all your advice and recommendations. Highly recommended!

Lovely Spacious Apartment in Stunning Location

We found the apartment to be very well equipped and to match the listing description perfectly. It had close access to the beach and the beach bars - restaurants. Although I would definitely recommend a car to get the most out of the area and to make life easier for food shopping in Caldas da Rainha, the closest town, about 6 miles away. The apartment was very well looked after by Maria who welcomed us to the apartment and showed us how the appliances worked. Any questions were responded to immediately. I think the apartment complex would benefit from sun loungers to make the most of the poolside area. A second key would have been appreciated as our children are 23 and 18 years old. It would have enabled them to be a bit more independant whilst on holiday. I would recommend this property to family or friends wishing to holiday on the fabulous Silver Coast.
