The house was clean and had ample space. The location was just okay. We enjoyed our time together in the house. Only thing was such and late check in with an early check out. For the amt you pay.

Rented both units for a long weekend. One unit was fine but for some furniture that was falling apart. The other unit was awful. The first floor reeked of cat urine and was not useable. If you closed the bedroom doors, the odor was not bad. I complained to the host after the stay and asked for some money back, and they did not respond. I would not recommend this place or this host.

Here is my candid review. We rented both units which was great because there were 18 of us. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms to accommodate us. We wish there were an interior door between the two units so we didn’t have to use the back doors and lock up every time we left a unit. The bedrooms were well-appointed and very comfortable. Things were missing like hand soap at many of the sinks and extra blankets in some of the rooms. We did have issues with many things being broken including but not limited to the internet not working, some toilet seats being broken, along with some cabinets and chairs. The owner was very responsive and came over to fix the internet. When I showed him pictures of all the other broken things he was unaware of them. Apparently, the renters before threw some kind of party and broke many things, including the internet so the owner could not see what was happening through his webcams. He was very apologetic for what had happened. The biggest thing that I think future renters should be aware of is the location. It is not in the best neighborhood (two different Uber drivers were concerned about dropping off some of our family here). We did not have any issues, but on the first night around midnight, there was a group of guys hanging out in the street in front of the units. We did not see anything on the second night and we returned from a wedding very late. There is off-street parking behind he units, which is well lit, so drop off in this area.

Unfortunately, there was a large group that caused significant damage to our home the night before your check in, and we weren’t made aware of the damage until the same day. With only a few hours between guests, we didn’t have enough time to fully catch and resolve everything in advance. We’re very glad you let us know so we could come by and take care of what we could during your stay. Everything else has since been addressed.
We also appreciate your note about the neighborhood. Soulard is one of the oldest and most established areas in the city, known for its historic charm and proximity to restaurants, parks, and local events. It is considered one of the safer neighborhoods of St. Louis City, though we understand that unfamiliar surroundings can sometimes feel different at first. We’re happy your group had no issues during your visit and made use of the well lit parking behind the property.
