This is our second trip back to the bears cottages and it did not disappoint! Marylin has assisted with booking both years (as we are spur of the moment vacationers at times) and each time the process has gone smoothly. Check in/out was a breeze and the property was beautiful. Perfect for our family as the property has a large grassy common area and deck/dock for play and relaxation. We would recommend to anyone whose looking for a getaway near the inlet area.

The property looked just like, if not better than, the pictures online. It was clean and updated, with a beautiful view of the lake. The welcome tote was also a pleasant surprise and added a personal touch that made us feel valued.

Spacious bedroom. Modern and clean twist to the local style. There was also a livingroom/kitchenette area that had a comfy full size futon, perfect for our teen.

Cozy and Beautiful

We loved our stay at the Black Bear cabin! It was cozy, and just the right size for the two of us. We loved the view out the front door and the personal chairs and firepit. We will definitely be staying again.

Anniversary get away

Property was just as pictured. Clean, walkable to Inlet. Beautiful views and super quiet at this time of year. Host was super responsive with answering a few questions we had.

Beautiful waterfront

Wasn’t sure what to expect because there weren’t a lot of pictures, was a last minute trip and only cabin available. I was blown away by the spectacular sunset views and small beach/water access. Cabin sits right on the water with open views. Beautiful property. Loved our stay we will be back!

The little cabin was just perfect for us. The TV wasn’t working when we first arrived but was fixed the next morning. The only additional item that would have been nice is to have a hairdryer. I had brought one with me so didn’t need to ask for one but Paula and Marilyn may have had one available for use at the office..Right on the lake so it was perfect

Excellent property, poor communication

Everything was great about this property except the checking in communication. There was no response to my request for check in information from the host. When I arrived there was a bulletin board outside an office. There was a paper saying that if you have any questions about the Bear Cottages to call either of these numbers. The host answered and told me how to find the cottage and the key information. That was a stressor I could have lived without. If I hadn't happen to think to look at a bulletin board I would have arrived after a long drive and not been able to access the cottage I had paid for. The host was very nice on the phone but why no response or information on how their check in works. Otherwise the experience was excellent.

A comfortable cabin right next to 4th Lake - Compact but with a separate bedroom from the living area. Well-appointed with everything you need. The views of the lake and surrounding forest are special. Staff was helpful, easy walk into Inlet. All in all a perfect spot for enjoying the Adirondack environment.
