Everything was perfect!

By The Pond had everything we needed for the most amazing vacation. The pool was so relaxing. The golf cart and beach chairs made going to the beach a breeze and so many toys for the kids! Sitting by the pond with coffee was the best way to wake up every day. No need to go anywhere as this place was perfect for cooking all our meals and had so much to keep everyone entertained the entire week!

Great family vacay spot

This was our second time staying at By the Pond and although our trip was cut short by the weather we still love it there and I'm sure we'll be back again in the future. The house has everything you need and loads of space. The location is perfect. Close to the beach and a quick drive to Murrell's Inlet if you want to venture out for some great restaurants in the evening. Love the convenience of taking the golf cart to Benjamin's to grab a coffee and some delicious breakfast in the morning. And the pond right outside has so many turtles! Kathy and Steve are great and always checking in to make sure you have everything you need. Highly recommend staying here!!

The perfect house for our family!

Staying at "By the Pond" has become my family's summer tradition over the last six years. We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. This house checks all of the boxes! We look forward to continuing to stay at "By the Pond" for many years to come.

Perfect week with a perfect house!

The house was very accommodating, clean and spacious. It is bigger on the inside than it looks. Love the two sitting areas. The kids loved the pool, the pond with the turtles and riding the golf cart. The golf cart was a huge help with all the little ones. Perfect weak!!!

Perfect family vacation

We live By the Pond for so many reasons, but the top 3 are its location, cleanliness, and layout. There is enough room for grandparents and teens to spread out when needed but there are also lots of spaces they can hang out together.

A very comfortable stay

We have stayed a number of times and have always had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. The bed in the master bedroom is still very comfortable, and we rest well in it every time. The golf cart is very convenient to hop in and have a quick ride to the beach. The turtles are still fun to watch and feed at times. The house is pretty well maintained and provides a comfortable experience for each visit. Steve and Kathy are the easiest to book with from the beginning to the end.

Fantastic Home

It was our first time visiting Myrtle Beach and we weren’t sure how our vacation would go. We absolutely loved the house… great location and the house is exactly how it’s described on the website. Literally a five minute walk to a beautiful beach. Having a golf cart was an added plus. Kathy is an amazing host and does whatever she can to ensure your time in her beautiful home is a pleasant and enjoyable one. Highly recommend staying here!

By the Pond

This was the 2nd year we stayed at this house and it was just at lovely this time. Very roomy and clean and has everything you need. The pool was one of the most awesome things about this house. It was so nice to have that. It was also just a short walk to the beach and everything else you may need was just minutes away; grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, shopping and attractions. The neighborhood was also very nice and quiet. I highly recommend this property. Thank you and look forward to next time!

Excellent rental

The house was perfect for us. Very very clean and stocked with needed items. Amenities such as beach chairs, ping pong table, golf cart, and private pool were used all week. Nice quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend this house!!

Great spring getaway

We had a wonderful girls getaway and enjoyed our time at By The Pond very much. Group of retired friends got together for a beach getaway. The accommodations were very spacious and relaxing. Plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. Cottage in great location…close to both beach and local restaurants. The golf cart came in handy for short runs to dinner, beach and simply putting around the beautiful area. We also enjoyed playing ping pong, fishing and sitting out by the pool visiting. Kathy and Steve were great owners and very prompt in all responses needed. We will definitely return.

Our second summer vacation at By the Pond

This is our second time back at By the Pond. The house is lovely! Spacious! Love the two living rooms. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The pool is great after a day at the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and family oriented. That’s why we love Surfside Beach! The owners check in to make sure you have all you need and if there are any issues. I don’t have one negative thing to say. Can’t wait for Summer 2024 at By the Pond!

My family has been staying at "By the Pond" for about eight years now and the experience is always amazing!

"By the Pond" is a larger than meets the eye house. There is plenty of room for my family in which everyone gets their own room. The house is clean and spacious. The pool and pool deck area are great for lounging and playing. The beach is a very short walk and even shorter golf cart ride away. The kids love playing in the pool, watching the turtles in the pond and the dogs in the park across from the pond. Steve and Kathy are great and in the off chance that you need something, they are quick to respond. I couldn't think of staying anywhere else in Surfside Beach.

Relaxing family vacation

We have enjoyed this house for several years. Each year there are improvements that make it better (like new floors, updated shelving, etc.). We love the easy access to the beach, fishing off the deck, swimming in the pool, and using the golf cart. The house is extremely clean and has lots of things you might need like masking tape or salt and pepper! Steve and Kathy are responsive and helpful. I highly recommend staying at By the Pond!

Great stay….4th year!

We absolutely love By The Pond! We normally stay the same week every year and we look forward to it all year. This house is perfect for our family. We love the amenities and all the extras that Steve and Kathy provide to make vacationing at the beach easier. The house is always clean and welcoming. We have never had any issues, but I undoubtedly know it would be taken care of If we needed anything. They check in a couple times during the week, just to see if everything is okay. I love when things are made simple for me and staying at this house is so simple and relaxing. With all the “extras” in the shed, we don’t need to pack anything for the beach. The golf cart and bikes are a big hit as well. I also want to say that if the weather doesn’t cooperate, there is a great game collection in the house and the ping pong table that provides hours of fun! We look forward to many more vacations here.

Such a great house!

We absolutely loved staying at By the Pond! There were 7 (ages 17-78) of us and we had more than enough space for everyone. The location was PERFECT to be able to go back and forth between the beach and the pool. And the two living rooms gave everyone an opportunity to spread out in the evenings to play games or read quietly. The golf cart was such a great bonus and made heading down to the pier area for restaurants simple! We will definitely be back! We have Ben coming to Surfside since 2006 and have stayed at several different places. This house is top on our list!

Just some 45 year old high school friends celebrating their birthday

We had an absolutely amazing time relaxing and hanging out in the local bars. There is quite a bit to do that is close enough to jump on the golf cart or walk to. We loved how close it was to the beach. We also enjoyed the turtles in the pond and the cute little lizards in the bushes! There is no shortage of seating and the house was fairly sound proof. I would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay again in a heartbeat!

LOVED IT

Loved the home Loved the location Loved the area, nice and quiet. My granddaughter enjoyed feeding the turtles, in the turtle pond. I enjoy sitting by pond with my coffee in the mornings. We took advantage of enjoying the golf cart, we rode through the neighborhood checking out the scenery. We would stay again. Kathy reached out to check and made sure there was problems with checking in and that they were available if we needed them. Long story short, we enjoyed our stay.

Never a disappointment!

We stayed again at By the Pond and were thoroughly pleased with our stay. We always leave completely relaxed and very satisfied with our stay. I have to have a clean environment and this place provides that. The easy and close beach access is a plus. We always enjoy watching the turtles in the soothing pond. We have no complaints whatsoever about our vacation in this well-kept beach house.

Best location in Myrtle Beach area. Family friendly with little noise and traffic, but convenient to everything. Our home is on one of the nicest lots in Surfside Beach near the ocean. We also have a golf cart available for our guests along with our nice private swimming pool.

Beautiful setting with water view of pond and close to the ocean. Enjoy watching wildlife and turtles in the pond. Park located across the water from the home offering slides, children play items, park benches,horseshoes, and boccie ball. Home also has numerous decks to sit on and relax. Interior of home is all one level with a calming, nicely decorated atmosphere. Built as a home for us to enjoy, not for being a rental property.
