What a great time I had! Steps from the marsh with sandhill cranes greeting me. What an eclectic and fun spot to stay! 13/10 would stay again!

Perfect for a short stay

The location was great! Very peaceful location. It was clean and perfect for a short stay. My only complaint is the level of noise picked up from the connected domes. You could hear the full conversation of your neighbor.

Get away weekend

Pros: Room was tidy. Easy check in. Close to attractions. Very nice view.Cons: There should be a quiet time starting at 10:00 pm or 11:00. Walls are thin and conversation can be heard. People staying next door talked without stopping until 2:00 am. If you are a light sleeper is better to stay in the studio.

Not As Expected

The walls were very thin and you could hear everything, including neighbors who check in at early morning times. Pictures made it seem that one “dome” was for one rental. Instead it’s one studio broken up into about 3 rooms. Check in and check out was very convenient especially if you are checking in after office hours but note that the map and property at night is confusing.

Way smaller than photos show. The walls are very thin. People next door had dogs that wouldn't stop barking and howling. Made two complaints and nothing was done to fix the issue.

Disappointing Romantic Getaway

My husband and I were looking forward to a romantic getaway in what seemed like a charming one-bedroom dome by a beautiful lake. However, we were disappointed to find out that we’d be sharing the space with other families. The listing didn’t mention that the dome was actually part of a shared house, with only thin walls separating us from the others. We could hear one couple talking late into the night and another family watching a loud action movie well past midnight. Our dog, who we brought with us (as approved in the listing), was stressed by the noise and kept whining, likely audible to the neighbors on the other side of the thin walls.We were uncomfortable speaking at a normal volume or doing anything without trying to be as quiet as possible. Even shutting the bathroom door felt too loud. The blinds barely covered the sliding door, and given how close we were to others, we were hoping for more privacy. We were also woken up by the sounds of our neighbors talking and even using the bathroom.We hope this is made clearer in the listing for future guests. Unfortunately, we won’t be recommending this place to others.

It was an easy check-in / check-out. This property has a beautiful scenery view and is budget-friendly. The room was clean. It also had kitchen utensils, paper towels, dish soap, and some other stuff that I found thoughtful and useful. I have to admit that when I booked the room I did not read the room’s description and reviews. I was deceived by the picture. I thought we would have the entire igloo for ourselves, it is divided into 4 different rooms. The room was small. The major issue I had was the bathroom wall not going all the way up to the ceiling, so when someone is using the toilet you can hear everything, and if the other person turns the bathroom light up in the middle of the night the room completely lights up. I also did not like that there is no thermostat to control the temperature in the room. The walls are very thin and you can hear the conversations from the people staying in the next room. I thought the property was beautiful, and if I were to stay in the future I would consider one of the rental houses.

A little misleading

It was pretty small space. Had to walk past others sliders to get to ours. No thermostat in room. Had to call multiple times to turn on AC. No shower curtain so water sprayed out of shower. Only 2 towels. I thought from the pictures it was the dome but it was 1/4 of the dome. Hard to maneuver around inside. #3

1/4th of a HOT dome

Upon booking, my husband and I thought the “dome” was a cool/fun idea. When we arrived checking in was simple; go to a red box and pick up the envelope with your name. Great for people who just want to go to their room. When entering the room, it was HOT inside the room and was 80 degrees and 95% humidity outside. As we settled in(took showers, unpacked, etc.), the A/C kicked on for two minutes laid down and relaxed, but then the A/C turned off after that. Throughout the couple of days we were there we had talked to the front desk once and the property manager at least twice about the A/C. The property manager stated the first time that she would lower it and the second time she said she would lower it a couple degrees but could not due to the fact that the dome is split into four. This made our stay extremely uncomfortable. A simple fix the owner could have made was to place a fan in the room, I ended up buying one because of this issue. Also the dome description should state the dimensions of the room and that the A/C is distributed to 3 other rooms. The mattress was also very stained with yellow/brown coloring throughout it. A fix for this is buy a new mattress or at least a waterproof mattress cover.

Overall I loved the stay. Had a couple things I wasn’t super thrilled about though. First off, the night we got there, we hardly knew where to park. It said we could park near the dome and we did but there was no road leading the guest parking that it took 15 minutes for us to figure out what we were supposed to do. When we got in we noticed the walls didn’t even reach the top of the cellulite therefore we could hear everyone and every little thing they were doing around us. We were trying to sleep and our neighbor was playing Narnia- The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe. That is how loud and clear we could hear. Paper thin walls. The advertising was very misleading. We thought we were getting the whole dome to ourselves yet we got a third of it. A little frustrating but the view we got was gorgeous. Bed was very very squeaky. Overall, beautiful place but had some issues.

Beautiful property but little privacy

We loved the location and the room itself was clean and comfortable. The walls are very thin so if you are sharing the dome you can hear the other people very clearly. The people who stayed the same night as us played music until 3:30 am making it difficult to sleep. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay

The Dome

When we first arrived it was ugly outside because it was raining all day but when the sun came out we were in awe. The view was amazing. The dome interior was honestly beautiful. The fur rug was the perfect touch to make it so comfy. We were out in nature so we expected a few bugs inside. We even saw a couple fire fly’s! The bed was super comfy and the location itself was very quiet. No problems checking in and responses were fast if we needed anything. The shower was amazing too and the water was really hot. The amenities were perfect, I would recommend bringing a griddle! We cooked breakfast outside and enjoyed every minute of it.

We enjoyed one relaxing night here, loved the bed, the simplicity of the room and the location. We stayed in what we called the "igloo", in what amounted to 1/4 of the whole space. I would be remiss if i didn't mention that people in the other section of our igloo could be heard talking, even though they we mot overly loud..walls are thin. We could not control the temp, or at least didn't see any way to do so....but it waa beautiful with basic amenities that we needed.
