It’s been several months since the recent storm impacted our region, and we’re happy to share that the area has made a strong recovery. All major roads, restaurants, and local attractions around the property are open and fully operational. The community has worked hard to restore everything, and we’re excited to welcome guests back to experience the charm and beauty that makes this area so special. Come relax, recharge, and support the local businesses that give our neighborhood its unique character. We can’t wait to host you!

In the wintertime, venture to Cataloochee Ski Area for cold-weather recreation just 10 miles away, and enjoy Maggie Valley Club Resort all year long, where you can play 18 holes on the mountain-style championship golf course. The home is located between Waynesville and Maggie Valley, a Smoky Mountain destination town that's home to plenty of dining and shopping options. With Cherokee only a half-hour away, you can spend a day exploring Native American culture or spend an evening catching a show at Harrah's Casino Resort. Get outdoors and take a journey on the Blue Ridge Parkway (access just down the road) to discover mountain hiking trails and spectacular waterfalls, and also walk the trail at Lake Junaluska (also just down the road). The ride to Asheville is smooth sailing with easy, year-round highway access. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Waynesville and is approximately 41 minutes from downtown Asheville.

The Peaceful Fox is located in a quiet neighborhood and has a very low noise tolerance. The home is under a noise ordinance between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. It is not suitable for groups that are looking for late nights of celebration on the deck. • Firewood is not provided for guest use. If you plan on using the wood-burning amenities, please purchase wood locally upon arrival.

• Travel Insurance Recommended

During the winter months, we ask you to please consider CSA Travel Insurance to protect your vacation investment from potential winter weather events that could prevent access to the home.

• Guest Cabin. Please note, there is a guest cabin adjacent to The Peaceful Fox that is not available for guest use or inhabited.

• Limited Internet Speed. This property is equipped with an internet connection with speeds up to 12 Mbps.

• While it’s not strictly necessary, we do recommend using a 4x4 vehicle if possible—especially in rainy or icy conditions, or if you’re hauling a trailer, as the road leading to the property includes a hill.
