Beautiful Marinha

The apartment is a walk from the beautiful Marinha beach with it’s coves, and a great Hanging valley nature walk with spectacular views. We made use of the pool at the apartment and chilled Reading on the sun loungers. The apartment is spacious and well equipped, it made a difference to have an extra towels. It had a washing machine and dryer which was used. We did find it difficult not having any air con at time as it was so hot and the were no fans in the apartment, however as soon as i mentioned this you supplied us with a fan. We all enjoyed our holiday and would definitely recommend staying at your lovely apartment. It was a pity it was so away from Carvoeiro but it was also so nice to be a walk from the amazing beach xx

Nice to read your review with recommendations. I was only a bit surprised that you found Carvoeiro "so away", because it is only at 7 minutes drive, just as Lagoa, with its supermarkets and bakeries. On the way to Carvoeiro are also other beaches , like Benagil. This area has really many surprises and facilities at short distance!

Casa tranquila y amplia

La vivienda es confortable y completa, muy tranquila para el descanso. La zona de jardín está muy cuidada y es agradable para tomar el sol y hacer comidas al aire libre. La piscina común está muy cuidada y poco concurrida de gente, se podría decir que casi privada. A la playa se puede ir caminando, tiene preciosas vistas y suele estar concurrida. El personal que nos recibió fue muy agradable y profesional.

Property was easy to book and communication with the property owner was good with immediate replies to any questions I had. Property was in an excellent location, very quiet, but close to town to get stuff where needed. Pool was an added bonus. Will book again.

Fantastic flat in fantastic location

This is a large, beautifully decorated, and well equipped flat very close to one of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve, with a nice pool and private garden. Opposite to what is currently shown in google street view, there is a new and nice sidewalk down the ca 350 meters (5 min walk) to the beach; driving would make no sense at all. The optimised path through the bushes to Benagil beach (with its nearby famous cave) is also only around 15 min hike. Great for combining hiking in proximity to coastal landscape (both towards west and east) and water activities. We chose the place due to its quiet location in proximity of beautiful nature, while not being remote: Well placed strategically to Silves (ca 20 min drive), shopping (ca 10 min), evening walks/ice cream/swim in Carvoiero (10 min) as well as exploring e.g. Sagres (the previously suspected "end of the world") and Lagos on the way for longer tours. We had considered basing ourselves in Lagos and were relieved to have chosen this rental unit instead. The road passing the house (Casa Catharina) is mostly blocked (at least in high season) due to limited access to the parking lot at the famous beach, hence there is only limited traffic on the (hence quiet) road (as a guest with parking space on the property it is of course possible to leave and enter the premises and area by car). Very swift communication with owner and manager. Very commendable with detailed instructions and information ahead of stay. Ideal for a family with teenage kids or up to two couples. Two separate beautiful bathrooms. Thank you Marisa for making the stay possible.

Wonderful apartment very close to amazing beaches

The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped; the kitchen is one of the best equipped I have experienced in self catering apartments. The shaded terrace and shutters meant that when we came in from a hot day outside the apartment was lovely and cool. The insect screens on the windows are sensible and allow a breeze while keeping the mozzies (mostly) out. Showers were good and there were lots of towels! The private garden is very private and green; the table tennis table was much appreciated and well used by our teenagers. Although the pool is shared it was never too busy, we often had it to ourselves whenever we wanted. In terms of location close to Praia de Marinha it couldn't be better- 5 minutes walk to the top of the steps leading down to the beach. Thank goodness we didn't need to drive as the road gets incredibly congested as the beach is very popular. We found a quieter beach about 5 minutes walk along the clifftop path eastwards. The path runs along the cliffs for miles and is a lovely walk in the evening.

Schöne Wohnung mit allem, was man braucht

Lage und Ausstattung der Wohnung entsprechen der Beschreibung, es ist wirklich sehr schön! Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war sehr angenehm, schön vorab gab es umfassende Informationen. Die Wohnung ist ideal geeignet, die Algarve kennenzulernen und bietet schon quasi vor der Haustür eine wunderschöne Bucht zum Sonnen und Baden oder auch Möglichkeiten zum Wandern an der Küste. Wir werden gerne einmal wiederkommen.

Schöner Urlaub

Ja, wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub, in dem alles sehr gut geklappt hat. Nochmals vielen Dank für die Möglichkeit so früh in das Apartement einziehen zu können. Und natürlich für die vielen hilfreichen Infos vor Vertragsschluss und direkt vor Beginn der Reise. Das ist wirklich vorbildlich und lange nicht bei allen Vermietern üblich. Besonders positiv ist uns aufgefallen, dass die Beschreibungen auch den tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten vor Ort entsprechen. Auch das ist lange nicht überall so.

Beautiful apartment in a peaceful yet convenient location.

The listing and photos shown on the website were very accurate! The apartment was clean, well looked after and very well equipped. There was lots of space for a family of 4. The outside space was lovely, very peaceful and again well equipped. We made use of the BBQ, full size table tennis table and chairs / table most days! The internet was a real bonus. The pool was even better than expected. It was very deep at one end and bigger than the pictures indicated. Most of the time it was just us using the pool, but even when a few other families turned up, there was enough space. Very well maintained with plenty of sun loungers! The apartment is in a beautiful location, very close to the beach. From the beach, you can walk in either direction along the cliff tops and find smaller, less crowded beaches. It is just a short drive from Carvoeiro, where there are plenty of shops / restaurants and facilities. Also just a 15 minute drive away is the waterpark, which the children loved (a bonus that we didn't have to drive too far!). All in all a great choice and thanks to Marisa for being such a great host and keeping in touch from the moment we booked until we left!

Traumhafte Wohnung – tolle Lage

Das Apartment lässt keine Wünsche offen und die Ausstattung ist hervorragend. Die Küche ist bestens mit Geschirr sowie Marken-Elektrogeräten eingerichtet. Es gibt mehr und bessere Fernsehgeräte als auf den Fotos zu sehen, insgesamt drei Flachbildschirme (internationale und deutsche Programme). Das Internet funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin ist angenehm, die von ihr bereitgestellten Informationen sind umfassend und die Betreuung durch den Vertreter vor Ort ist vorbildlich. In der kleinen Wohnanlage hat man viel Ruhe und zum Strand kann man bequem zu Fuß gehen. Praia da Marinha ist einer der schönsten Strände der Algarve! Für Ausflüge oder auch Einkäufe in der Umgebung ist ein Mietwagen absolut empfehlenswert. Es gibt viele moderne Supermärkte, die damit in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen sind. Wir verbrachten herrliche zehn Tage in dieser sehr zu empfehlenden Unterkunft. Auch unseren mitreisenden Kindern (15 und 18 Jahre) hat es sehr gefallen.

Fantastisch verblijf in februari/maart /2015

Wij hadden een heerlijk verblijf in dit van alle gemakken voorziene appartement. Bedden, beddengoed, keukenequipment, etc, alles was prima in orde. Wij genoten van de prachtige omgeving - op loopafstand van de strandjes van Marinha en Benagil - van dit mooi en rustig gelegen appartement. We hadden weliswaar geen uitzicht op zee, maar dit werd gecompenseerd door de mooi besloten tuin, waar we op ligbedden en uit de wind heerlijk genoten van rust en ontspanning. Op het buitenterras elke morgen heerlijk in de zon kunnen ontbijten. Kortom een prima verblijf en we komen graag nog eens terug. Leo en Astrid Korving-Meijer

Schöne Anlage!!! Perfekte Ausgangslage

Wir haben eine sehr angenehmen und erholsame Woche an der Algarve verbracht. Die Lage der Wohnung ist ideal. Der wunderschöne Strand Praia de Marinha ist in knapp 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Die meisten Ausflugsziele an der Algarve sind mit dem Auto in angemessener Zeit erreichbar. Die kleine Anlage rund um die Wohnung ist sehr ruhig und sehr gepflegt (eingezäunte Parkmöglichkeiten, sehr gepflegtes Schwimmbad..). Die Wohnung ist mit hochwertige(n) Elektrogeräten, Badausstattung und sehr guten Betten ausgestattet. Sie verfügt über eine schöne Terrasse und Garten, so dass wir sämtliche Mahlzeiten im Freien einnehmen können. Wir hoffen, in naher Zukunft wieder einmal unseren Urlaub hier verbringen zu können.

Relaxing quiet stay in the Algarve

The place is a few minute short drive (or a 10 minute walk) to the most beautiful beach in the Algarve. It is in a quiet complex of six apartments and has a nice fully private backyard with pingpong table and loungers. The pool is steps away and is lovely and cool. The place was clean and comfortable. Note: You must provide garbage bags, dish soap etc. for your stay as they are not included and there is no extras in the kitchen such as oil or spices (except a few items here and there left over from previous guests). Also, the channels on TV do not include any English except for news. Overall, It is a great choice for a family or couple; we really enjoyed our memorable stay. Thank you!

The way to the beach "Praia da Marinha" is as nice and quiet as beautiful. At 50 meters from the accommodation you are already in the National Park of the Algarvian Cliffs. The road is dead ending and ends at the parking place of the Beach on the top of the cliffs.There are pick-nick tables with marvelous views at the ocean and the cliff scenery. That is also the starting point for the spectacular walking pathway "Seven valleys" that follows the coast-line all over the cliffs. The access to the Marinha beach - one of the most beautiful and most characteristic of the Algarve- is through a well constructed and easy going step-stone path. Depending on your walking pace, within 10 minutes easily going starting at the accommodation, you will have your feet in the sea! Our accommodation is self-catering, that means that consumables are at account of the renters. For hygienic reasons the left-overs of guests are always removed. For the convenience of new arrived guests, the first garbage bags and some dishwasher detergent is provided and some welcome food like mineral water and bread rolls.

Wunderschöne Wohnung!!! Einfach toll!!!

Sehr schöne Wohnung, mit sehr guter Ausstattung. Die Wohnung entspricht genau der Beschreibung im Internet. Die Abwicklung der Buchung verlief reibungslos und auch vor Ort wurden wir sehr gut betreut und hatten einen permanenten Ansprechpartner(Pedro). Die Wohnung hat eine sehr schöne ruhige Lage. Auto ist unbedingt zu empfehlen. Fazit: wir kommen im nächsten Jahr gerne wieder.

Prachtig, zeer luxe gedecoreerd ruim appartement

Echt luxe appartement, heerlijke bedden, 2 riante badkamers. Overal horren. Zelfs een afwasmachine. Omgeving is prachtig. Je loopt binnen 10 minuutjes naar een schitterend zandstrand, met aan beide kanten rotsen. Op deze kliffen kun je geweldig mooie wandelingen maken. Het enige wat ik miste was een parasol en stoeltjes voor het strand. Met de nederlands sprekende eigenaresse heb ik zeer prettig contact via de mail gehad, zeer correcte snelle terugbetaling van de borg. Ook beheerder Pedro ter plaatse is een zeer vriendelijke man. We mochten een paar uurtjes langer blijven omdat we een late vlucht hadden en het huis niet aansluitend werd verhuurd. Heel plezierig voor ons en daar werden geen extra kosten voor berekend.
