Anna's Place-Lake Superior Across the Highway, Downtown

Anna’s Place is a beautiful family home on the east end of Downtown Munising. Anna river runs alongside the house and into Lake Superior which is in walking distance from the home. Sandy beach area and a board walk for swimming and viewing Munising Bay!

This 3 bedroom home sleeps 5 comfortably, 2 full beds, 1 queen and 2 bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen and a laundry room. Cozy backyard with a fireplace to enjoy your afternoon, roast marshmallows or simply enjoy each other’s company.

Short drive to everything Munising has to offer. Boat/kayak tours, dining, gift shops, water falls and even Indoor Golf!

*2 car limit, no pets, no trailers on the property (contact for possible parking at our office)

*There is a doorbell camera mounted at the entryway outside.

*Door code will be released the night before check-in for security purposes.

It was easy to find. The location was nice, right across from the lake with a little fishing dock. The house was cute and clean. We only wished for a bit more privacy curtains, otherwise it was wonderful! Would definitely stay again!

There were three guests over 75 years of age. We were unable to take our suitcases upstairs because of the steep, narrow and winding staircase. The soaking tub was fabulous, but neither bathroom had bath mats or grab bars so everything was very slippery. We should have been notified beforehand that we had an 8 Mile detour to navigate to get into town. Part of the reason we chose Anna's place was because it was close to everything we wanted to see. The proximity to the beach was very nice. It is a lovely, cozy place. There were just some safety issues for elderly visitors that should be addressed.

We had a lot of fun, even with the intermittent rain. The bridge next to the house was under repairs so there was no “quick run into town” but we dealt with that. The house was comfortable but air conditioning would have been nice, even window units. It was extremely hot and humid and the one floor unit upstairs is just not enough for good sleeping comfort, in my opinion.

The cottage was perfect! We loved the access to a small beach and dock on Lake right across the road from cottage. Quiet, peaceful spot.

Cute little place located on a busy road. Anna's Place had all of our basic needs and was clean upon arrival. Check in was easy. Nice place.

We had a terrific stay at Anna’s Place. It was clean and comfy. Would totally stay there again. The city was repairing the road so the trip into Munising was blocked which made the drive into town 8-9 minutes longer. There is a small stream next to the house and across the road a place to take a short walk to Lake Superior. Some in our group walked there to bird watch and star gaze at night.

Beautiful home

We had a great stay. This house looks like it may be new in the rental space, it is very well decorated. We stayed here in early June and did have some evenings which were pretty warm. There is no A/C, which was a bit of a shock, since we are from Florida, I didn’t really pay attention when I booked it. It was properly listed as no A/C. There are a lot of fans and if you are strategic about opening windows, it does cool down at night. We were very central to Pictured Rocks which was our main reason for visiting. Would recommend.

Cute home near Lake Superior and Munising

This home is very nice and right across the street from a beach and fishing dock. We went for a trip to pictured rocks and enjoyed staying at this quaint house.

Fun weekend and Excellent Accommodations

Nice house that can handle 4 people easily. Can’t park snowmobiles there so we would park at the rental place each night. Good communication with the owner. Very enjoyable stay.

From ice fishing the mouth of the Anna river on lake Superior to exploring the Pictured Rocks National Shoreline in a winter wonderland straight out of a National Geographic magazine, Anna's Place is perfect. The house is warm, cozy and comfortable and a perfect place to recharge after a busy day exploring all the area has to offer. The beds were super comfy, the house is quite, the towels and toiletries abundant, and the kitchen equipped with everything necessary to enjoy a home cooked meal. I look forward to staying at Anna's place again real soon!

Awesome place in Munising

We needed a place in Munising for a holiday snowmobile trip, and Anna's place was perfect. We had four adults, so my spouse and I took the downstairs bedroom and the "boys" took the two bedrooms upstairs. The house is immaculate inside and very nicely decorated. The kitchen is a nice size and perfect for preparing our small meals. There were even games and cards, so we played Yahtze and Euchre when we weren't out on the snowmobiles. BTW, we rented the snowmobiles at Munising Snowmobile rental, which worked out great. The two baths were just fine for us. The house is located on the outskirts of town right next to a pretty river. We all got into the car and went into town for burgers and another time for pasties. The grocery is also just a couple minutes away. Everyone in our party really liked the house. It's perfect for a winter get away.

Disappointed

A beautiful property with views of the bay, but this stay was somewhat disappointing. There were no written directions provided about how to use the front door lock, which left me standing in the cold for a long time trying to figure it out. I called the property manager twice for help. The person who was sent to help me open the front door was unnecessarily rude and condescending. Additionally, there was roof work being done on this property the day I checked in. When I arrived the roof was still unfinished and large stacks of roofing material were still on the front lawn, blocking the path from my car to the front porch. Rather frustrating when carrying in several heavy loads from the car. Towards the end of my week stay, the roofing crew returned and resumed loud work on the roof. This was especially disruptive as I had rented the property as a quiet place to do work. The property management did eventually have the crew called off but it took about an hour. Management was communicative, but this was a bumpy stay.

Exploring Nature

Anna's Place is a great place to stay in munising. Very relaxing and comfortable. It was very well equiped for a smooth running house. I highly recommend Anna'a Place.

Clean Comfortable

Clean, comfortable house with zipper allergy/bed bug covers on mattresses, pillows. No carpet. Excellent host, very helpful. Good location near pictured rocks. Lake Superior visible from property and is a short walk across a somewhat busy road. Nice view of lake Anna out the window. The neighbor' s houses need a lot of work, (or maybe torn down). I felt bad for them.

Reviewer Comments: Nice location especially with it near downtown and right along the river which leads right into the lake across the street, great spot if you were fishing. The home met the needs of 4, I'd stay again if I had a group of people needing 3 beds. Overall good review - a heads-up, if you are a large person or have some physical challenges, the stairs could be a little challenge. Also the same applies to the quite-low shower head in the downstairs bathroom (one shower in the home).
