Great house! Super clean, great location, beautiful interior. If very light sleeper bring ear plugs, there is occasional road noise. The beds and pillows were amazingly soft. We will definitely be back!

House was beautiful. Location was perfect. Having grow up in the area we knew the house and that the location to the lake was what we wanted. Able to walk to almost everthing especially ice cream. Check in and out was a breeze and communicating with Jennifer was easy. Will stay again.

the home has a beautiful view (from front porch, living room, dining room and outdoor firepit-seating area) of Chautauqua Lake. So convenient- The walking trail is just across the street, along with a museum, convenience store and Chautauqua Belle paddle-wheeler. We walked up to Tulips Brunch House- also The Lakeview is steps away with top notch Beef On Weck. The house is decorated in a very tasteful manner and the interior appears newly renovated. Loved the large pool table / living room space for getting together and fun and games. The firepit area with lots! of Adirondack chairs is a special place to spend the end of the day.

I'm sitting on the front porch, overlooking Chautauqua Lake while writing this review. The house is very nice, both inside and outside. We enjoyed fires in the fire ring several times. We certainly would recommend this house to anyone! We would also recommend taking a ride on the Chatauqua Belle steamboat, which is moored just across the street.

The house is an 1850 gem that has been decorated with expert attention to detail. Very comfortable and perfect location for those wishing to experience everything the Chautauqua Lake area has to offer with the National Comedy Center being a center piece attraction. The Lucy and Desi Museum, Chautauqua Belle Paddle Wheel Steamboat, Panama Rocks, and Cassadaga Lakes added to our adventures. We also found the large dinning room table ideal for family game play. The rooms were very comfortable and the backyard campfire is ideal for memorable family time. We highly recommend this VRBO unit as a great place to stay while visiting the southwestern part of New York State.

Our family of five, which includes three teenagers, absolutely loved our long weekend staying at the Pratt house. The house was spotless when we arrived and kitchen was well equipped with anything we could’ve needed during our stay. The location was great just across the road from the lake with lake views from most windows. Walkable to several restaurants and ice cream, all of which were really good! We rented a boat from the marina just down the road one afternoon and also took the short drive over to Bemus point for some shopping and restaurants. Overall, we decided we liked being on the quieter side of the lake in charming Mayville :) We loved the old house charm and the modern updates. Clean, comfortable, cozy, and fun! Definitely recommend!

Older house in a prime spot. Great package.

The house is immaculate but older they're wonderful paintings all over the house and the hosts are more than generous they have everything from sunscreen to nail polish remover. Bathrooms are super clean; shower is upstairs. The location is what makes this a gem right in the middle of the county and if you use the roads right everything is close.

Absolutely beautiful home!! Loved the front room with the large front window and magnificent view of the lake. Our morning gathering spot in the house. Evenings spent either at the extra large dining room table or outside at the cozy fire pit. Large bathrooms were very clean and had all the necessities. The location of this house was perfect for us. Just a short walk to breakfast, convenience store and the kayaking rentals. Sunset kayak guided tour was amazing !! We totally recommend this home and will definitely be back. Kelli A

Great getaway on the Lake

Very satisfied with most of the features of the house. Loved the outdoor eating area, especially. Could use a pizza pan and pizza cutter in the kitchen as well as some baking pans. We think it would be a good idea if the hot water temperature was dialed back. A few people nearly scalded themselves just in washing their hands. Air conditioners worked great so everyone could pick their comfort level. It was a clean, comfortable and roomy house with great views of the lake. We would stay there again.

Beautiful view and wonderful hosts!

The house on the lake was a perfect fit for our family who was in town for a wedding. There were plenty of beds for the 10 of us (ranging in age from 3-55!). Karen provided everything we could possibly need, a fully stocked kitchen, extra blankets, towels, etc. She was so generous providing water, gatorade, and freezie pops for the kiddos and firewood for a campfire. There wasn't anything we needed that wasn't here! She was also very communicative and kind allowing us to stay an extra day! The views of Chautauqua Lake are fantastic from every bedroom and the livingroom! There are lots of restaurants around, enty to do, and a Tops right around the corner!! Thanks so much for a great time!!

Very helpful hosts!

I don’t know why VRBO asked me to rate this: I had to cancel due to illness, so I have not been inside the place in person. While sick I was having trouble navigating the website to cancel, so I reached out to the hosts. They replied promptly and were extremely kind & considerate in trying to help me when Vrbo’s own customer service would not!!! We hope to be able to stay here for the first time in the future, and give a better informed rating. My rating of communication and location ARE accurate. My overall experience with these hosts WAS excellent! I have zero knowledge of cleanliness, check-in, or accuracy, but Vrbo has no way for me to say not applicable, so I gave five stars there too: these kind hosts should not suffer due to Vrbo’s limited survey design, but those three are just guesses.

Hello I hope this message finds you in excellent spirits. I want to express my sincere appreciation for your kind review - it truly means a lot to us! I am thrilled that you have recovered from your illness and feel much better. I understand that navigating VRBO during that time must have been quite challenging, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by your reservation's cancellation. I know the situation must have been frustrating for you, and I regret that we could not do more to assist you besides guiding you through the cancellation process. As new hosts on VRBO, we are committed to providing our guests with the best possible experience and constantly working to improve our services. I appreciate your patience and the clarity of your communication during the cancellation process. Your feedback is precious to us and will help us provide even better service in the future. Unfortunately, when I reached out to VRBO regarding the status of your refund, they could not give any information. Although there is no specific category for cancellations, we believe your excellent communication with us while you were ill deserves a five-star rating. However, VRBO does not have such a cancellation category for guests. In the future, we hope that VRBO will establish a cancellation category to ensure that guests in such situations can still have a 5-star experience. We would be thrilled to have you as our guest anytime you plan to visit Chautauqua. Thank you again for your lovely review. We are sorry that you had to cancel your reservation due to your illness, and we hope that you are feeling much better now. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need any assistance. Best regards, Karen
