This beautiful newly renovated 2-bedroom home is nestled in a serene setting along the shores of beautiful Lake D’Arbonne. Our two-bedroom, two-bath lake house offers a cozy retreat for all of its guests. Whether you’re looking for a getaway full of peace and relaxation or some of the best freshwater fishing in Louisiana, this is your paradise.

The home features a spacious, open concept living area with large windows that frame breathtaking views. The master bedroom has a large master bath and walk-in shower. The cozy second bedroom also features a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate vanity. This bedroom also boasts access to the outdoor deck and a “bonus” closet with a desk for the working traveler, making it perfect for small families or couples. The well-appointed kitchen has all of the amenities for guests that like to cook.

Whether you’re fishing off the bank or simply unwinding on the porch as the sun sets over the lake, this property promises a rejuvenating escape.

Conveniently located just 25–30 minutes from both Ruston and Monroe and only minutes from Farmerville, our lakefront home is the perfect base for families visiting the area. Whether you're in town for:

- College visits to Louisiana Tech University or the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM)

- Baseball, softball, and other sports tournaments

- Special events across North Louisiana, including the popular Louisiana Watermelon Festival

Red Dirt Retreat was the perfect home away from home for our family while playing in a week long softball tournament in Ruston! Everything was so clean, comfy beds, peaceful backyard, great walk-in showers! We will definitely stay here again!

This was our second stay at this property in the last month. It is beautiful to watch the sunrise over the lake. It is very quiet with plenty of wildlife on the lake. This property is newly remodeled inside and is perfect. I highly recommend this property. The check-in process in the property manager was very smooth and she is extremely nice.

Relaxing, cozy and clean place to stay!

Our stay was seamless! Loved the waterfront and drinking coffee on the porch. Our kids even caught several fish. Highly recommend this place!

Perfect Getaway

Beautiful accommodations. House was clean and very comfortable. We loved sitting on the deck with such a gorgeous view. The property manager was vert helpful and we are planning on returning!

Perfect Lakeside Getaway

My fiancé and I stayed at the Red Dirt Retreat for a quick weekend getaway and could not have been happier. The house was very pretty, spotless, and had everything we needed. The spot on the lake was beautiful and we even caught some fish. My only regret is that we did not stay longer. We will definitely be back.

This was a beautiful lake house for our family getaway! An inviting relaxed space, recently renovated, and extremely clean! Parking was easy, and the house had everything we needed and more for our stay. Very comfortable beds (pillows were stellar, a bonus for sure, leave yours home!) and peaceful evenings. I especially enjoyed picturesque views of the lake for breakfast coffee and dinner sunsets. Host was easy, clear, and responsive. We can’t wait to get back to Lake D’Arbonne and will be sure to stay here!

Girls trip

The red dirt retreat was a beautiful atmosphere that provided a lot of fun for me and my group of friends! Me and the girls spent our days grilling out on the back patio, tanning in the big yard, baking in the kitchen, and more! At night we cozied up and did each others nails and sat around the living room hanging out. The place itself was very spacious and had everything we needed in terms of toiletries, kitchen appliances, and comfort! I highly recommend if you’re looking for a good weekend getaway with family or friends to stay in this comfy and friendly atmosphere!
