About this space

Beautiful Studio at By The Sea Condominiums directly over looking Babes Beach. Wonderful location, perfect for a couples getaway or a family retreat! This studio comfortably sleeps 4, featuring a King size Bed, with the convenience of a kitchenette (no stovetop or oven), and a private balcony overlooking Galveston's Babes Beach. Treat yourself to a nice vacation with the comforts of home, you will be happy with every aspect and attention to detail our studio condominium has to offer!

The space

Enjoy the scenic views from the large balcony. Condo features king bed with double size sleeper sofa. Prepare yourself an easy breakfast with an toaster, Microwave, Mini Fridge, Standard Drip Coffee Pot (coffee not included, no stovetop or oven). One Large Towel and One Washcloth included per guest. The Condo is in a building that has a private parking lot. The guest fee per vehicle is $35 per vehicle per stay collected by the building at the time of check-in.

“Me and my husband recently stayed at Condos By the Sea in Galveston, Texas, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The views from our eighth-floor balcony were absolutely breathtaking, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The property offered everything needed for a comfortable and memorable weekend getaway. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape with stunning ocean views.”

A Relaxing Stay

Very nice, comfortable property. The location is great and, as a single female, I felt very safe due to the parking and lobby setup. The bed was very comfortable, and overall the property is very quiet and family oriented. The kitchen was not what I expected, having no cooktop or oven and only a mini fridge. More like a hotel room than a condo.

We recently stayed at this beach condo in Galveston and, while the view of the ocean was beautiful, the location was convenient, the overall experience was disappointing.From the start, the condo had a strong mold and mildew smell that lingered even after we ran the dehumidifier all day. The air filter hadn’t been changed since May 2023 and was completely filthy, a towel had a strange orange stain, and some of the lights didn’t work.I reached out to the host after our first day, and she said maintenance would come by the next morning. We left for the day to give them access, but when we returned six hours later, it was clear no one had been. The smell remained, the dirty towel was still there, lightbulbs weren’t replaced, the filthy air filter hadn’t been touched. After I followed up again and mentioned I’d spoken with Vrbo and was considering a refund request, I was told maintenance had come by but “didn’t smell anything” and apparently left.. which felt hard to believe, especially since none of the other issues were addressed. The mold/mildew concern was the only thing they focused on (if they came at all), while the rest was ignored.The host offered a partial refund if we left a day early, but that wasn’t feasible due to local lodging prices and availability.While the view and location were great and other guests in the building were friendly, minimal response to valid concerns, and poor communication from the host made this a stay I would not repeat or recommend.

Nice But Could Use Some Work

The condo was clean and decorated cute. The actual condo was a little outdated and could use some maintenance. The water pressure for the toilet is low and you have to flush 3-5 times to get it to go down. The humidity level in the condo was 95-100% the entire time. I don’t think the dehumidifier is big enough for the space. Two birds sleep on the balcony at night and it is covered in bird poop. Other balconies had fake owls to deter birds, this one did not. The bed frame is drooping and you can really feel it in certain spots when you lay on the bed. When I booked, I would have liked to known that this condo is connected to the condo next to it with a sliding door. Although it was locked, it did not feel entirely secure and safe. The main door into the condo is cracked. A second deadbolt was added to keep the door secured while you’re in the condo, but you can’t lock that deadbolt when you leave. The door was very loose when locking from the outside and could be kicked in very easily. I believe if the owners address these items, it’s a wonderful place to stay.

Long weekend

The stay was overall good however I left two items of clothing in the closet and I have yet to hear back from the host regarding if those items of clothing were found. I left them in a closet, but no one reached out to me to let me know that they were found. Very disappointing that the host has not been able to reach out to the cleaning crew sooner. It’s been over a week and I’ve not gotten an update.I would love to leave additional positive comments about the property, but if my clothes have not been found or returned, then my review will be negative.

A Little Deceiving...

This property was a little deceiving by the pictures. It was more outdated than shown. Nice beach and view below however.My property issues are as follows. 1) Upon entry, I noticed the entry door had been severely damaged previously as evidenced by the foot long crack where the door latched and locked, 2) there was one side of room that had full length mirrors the whole length of the room almost, 3) no closet for clothes, 4) oversized dresser took up to much space in an already tight room and 5) kitchen had small refrigerator.
