I just want to clarify that the guests comment about the travel distance relates to a therapy camp they were taking their children to, not the nearby popular tourist attractions such as Disney World, Universal and Sea World.

The guest was sent comprehensive villa details 6 weeks before his arrival date so he could plan his trip. He acknowledged safe receipt of them but then failed to either read or print them, and then emailed me from the doorstep saying "how do I get in". This therefore was his fault. A basic supply of consumables are provided as is standard for self catering villas and he never asked me what would be provided. 2 mattresses are shortly to be renewed. The villa is periodically deep cleaned when sufficient gaps exist between bookings, which were not available at this guests time. The key safe used is a standard item in the USA and thousands of villas have the same one. The darts have since been replaced.

I have to respond to many of the inaccuracies in this guests comments. Yes the wi-fi was out during his stay due to a major storm damaging the equipment just before he arrived. The provider Spectrum twice failed to keep booked appointments to repair it and eventually fixed it on the third appointment, just after the guest departed. He was advised of all this by my local management company and they attended several times. Two scratched pots and pans have since been removed but there are about 8 others in perfect condition. The microwave has now been replaced with a new, larger, one. The bedroom light switches work fine - my management company showed him how they work and also the main TV - they found he was trying to operate this with the DVD remote. Eagle Pointe is a good neighbourhood which is very popular with holiday families due to its peaceful surroundings and good access to the major attractions. I have many guests who have stayed at my house 4 or more times over the years. The alarm allows plenty of time to switch it off without running to the control panel, and the key box only needs to be used at arrival and departure. Alligators are native to Florida and if this guest is so scared of them why did he visit Florida, from another USA northern state? The pond only OCCASIONALLY has ONE small alligator in it and when young they avoid (and are scared of) people - they do not roam around the houses, just float around in the water, and if they get to adult size the authorities remove them. Most people are happy to see and photograph them, and I have never had this type of complaint about them before. The pool is not infested with ants and the house has no mould - this is just vindictive nonsense. The guest does not mention that he damaged the carpets in 3 rooms before leaving, involving me in extra cost to have them professionally cleaned. I would respectfully suggest potential guests have more regard to the other posted reviews for my house which are more accurate and give very favourable ratings, mostly 10 out of 10.
