**insects** Part of Costa Rica’s beautify is its biodiversity, which includes bugs. Even with window and door screens on the home, and AC in each room, you will likely encounter a range of insects and ants during your stay.

**water and power*** Occasional disruption to power and water will occur throughout Nosara. While the home has a back up water tank and battery back up for internet, most homes - this one included - rely on municipal services that can be stressed and disrupted due to weather or municipal maintenance issues. We have invested in backup systems in an attempt to minimize disruptions and will not be offering any refunds if disruptions caused by factors outside our control occur.

**house layout*** The two upstairs bedrooms are accessed by an outdoor staircase to the main house.

**Internet Reliability:** To ensure a reliable internet connection, we have upgraded to include both Starlink and a local fiber optic service provided by ICE. This dual setup offers redundancy to cover most connectivity issues. We also have a short-term power backup system designed to handle brief power outages. However, please note that in the event of an extended power outage, our internet services may be disrupted.
