NEW 2 bdrm Sunrise Villa on 1+ acre tropical garden directly on Hoopers Beach

This lovely fully renovated (2024) beach villa offers two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms surrounding an open concept kitchen, dining and living room area that opens onto a large patio to enjoy the views of a beautiful tropical garden that dives into the turquoise waters of Hoopers Bay (aka Turtles Bay) on Great Exuma in the Out Islands of the Bahamas.

The two cozy AC bedrooms feature a queen bed and two twin beds, with soft linens and fluffy pillows, in which you will enjoy peaceful nights of sleep. If you choose to opt out of AC, you can open the screened windows to enjoy the sea breeze blowing through the palm trees. Each bedroom benefits from an amazing view of the tropical garden and the turquoise waters of Hoopers bay. The master bedroom has a smart TV for you to enjoy your favorite shows or to complete your peaceful ambiance with streaming music.

The kitchen portion of the open space living area includes four new top-of-the-line appliances, including stainless steel Frigidaire refrigerator and oven, as well as an LG Washtower (washer and dryer). It is also fully equipped with small appliances such as coffee makers (drip and espresso), a milk frother, a toaster, a blender, and a mixer, as well as complete sets of cookware and dinnerware to prepare your meals and your cocktails. The living room is furnished with a very comfortable three seat sofa and ottoman and a coffee table filled with Bahamian literature and underwater photography magazines. The dining section has a lovely table and four cushioned chairs, unless you favour the kitchen island counter and its stools.

You can always take a gentle stroll to the beach through the 1+ acre tropical garden filled with palm, coconut, papaya and banana trees, frangipanis, orchids and bougainvillea.

Four Turtles Villas is perfect for a family vacation or a romantic getaway for one or two couples, and the best home base to visit the Exuma cays whether you rent a boat for a day of DIY island hopping, snorkeling, scuba diving, hidden beach discovery, or take a day trip to see the Exumas' famous pigs and iguanas, and James Bond's Thunderball grotto, or simply choose to relax on the beach or serene property, while enjoying a paddle board, hamac or comfortable Adirondack chairs and neso tent. Four Turtles will inevitably charm you and convert you into one of our community of returning guests.

Was a great decision staying at sunrise villa. On island location was perfect for day trips to the west and east sides and proximity to downtown when needed. Right on Hoopers beach was never crowded and beach is very walkable and swimable. Very clean and fresh villa. Well appointed and communication with staff and owner was excellent. Air conditioning in all rooms worked well. Would stay again.

House was perfect for us and our two college-age kids. It was exactly like the listing. It was VERY nice to have the washer and dryer and we used it almost every day, could have brought about half our clothes. The beach in front of the property was gorgeous with very few people. The location made it easy to drive to both ends of the island.

What a wonderful stay! The host was so kind and helpful. Communication was very consistent and quick. The actual villa itself was absolutely beautiful and truly was right on the best (in my opinion) beach on the whole island. A short 3 minute walk down a lovely garden brought you right down the Hoopers Bay Beach. We were the only ones on the beach most of the time. Great location for exploring both sides of the island. Had such a great time!

We loved our stay at Sunrise Villa! The property is beautiful and well maintained. It was the perfect oasis for us after spending our days snorkeling and boating. The villa itself is clean and tastefully decorated, and fully equipped with everything you need. They provide beach chairs, towels, life jackets, a cooler, various sizes of Yeti bottles & cups, and had some games available too. The washer & dryer work great and came in very handy! The villa has easy access to both the airport and George Town, and is a nice central point for exploring other parts of the island. The hosts & property manager were very friendly and accessible if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again!

Sunrise Villa on Hoopers Beach was fantastic! The host and property manager were very communicative and helpful. The house and furnishings were in excellent condition, kitchen was well equipped, and the outdoor toys were in great condition. The grounds around the house, and leading to the beach were beautiful - lots of flowers and nice greenery for privacy. Hoopers Bay was lovely, and very well protected. We visited a couple of other area beaches and were so happy to be staying at Hoopers Beach. The other beaches had lots of seaweed and garbage, but there was none at Hoopers. At low tide you can walk along the shore to the point on the south end of the beach. The location was also convenient to Smitty's, Prime Island Meat Market and short drive to Jolly Beach or to Tar Bay Beach.Overall very happy we stayed at Four Turtles and would defintely stay again!

Great communication with the owner. Good recommendations on fishing, guides, car rental and kayak rentals. Villa is just as shown, in great shape. Enjoyed the chairs down by the beach as well as on the deck. Towels were plentiful and of great quality. Daily visits from the neighborhood cat made my wife happy. No need for bottled water. It got windy while we were there so didn’t see any turtles. We made reservations for lunches and dinner out at Baymahni several times picking up their shuttle at EYC, dinners at Blu down south and Salt up north were worth the drive. Closer by we liked the restaurant at Augusta Bay. Having both Prime Meats and Smitty’s so close was convenient. Our first time on Exuma. Have stayed on Eleuthra and Cat Island several times and we enjoyed Exuma much more.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunrise! When we walked in the door upon arrival, my husband and I high fived each other, because it was perfect. It was clean, up to date and had everything we needed to make it our "home" for the week. Rachel was quick to answer any questions we had, as were the hosts. A short walk through the garden and you're on the most beautiful beach. We can't wait to book again next summer. Thank you for an incredible stay!

The Perfect Accommodations for our Exuma Trip!!!

The booking, host communication, check-in, and support throughout the trip was top notch! This property is advertised exactly as we experienced it. Perfect location! Great place on beautiful Hooper’s Bay!

We enjoyed our stay at The Four Turtles Sunrise Villa. Very nice villa with lovely decor. Met the owner when we arrived. He even brought us fresh coconut water! Beautiful short walk to the amazing beach. Would highly recommend! Only 2 small things I would have liked….hooks to hang towels in the bathrooms and a full length mirror. Great communication with the owner before and during the stay. Our 4th stay on Great Exuma and can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful property on the beach that is even better than the pictures. The house was recently renovated with high end finishes, and there were little details that we appreciated…drinks in the fridge upon arrival, coffee that was convenient after we forgot to get some at the market, a nice / new washer and dryer, and other basics like spices etc. Whenever we had a question it was promptly answered and responded to. We would definitely return!

What a fantastic find on Hooper’s Bay! The view is amazing and it’s only a few short steps to the beach. The house is new and everything was provided. The host was accommodating and responsive. We’ve been to the island 5 times and always stay in a different area but we will definitely return to Four Turtles.

Four Turtles is an amazing place to stay

Everything in the description was exactly as it says! This was our second year here in Exuma and this place was incredible! The beach was a very short walk and waking up the ocean was right in view from both bedrooms. Everything was up to date and if we needed anything at all our host brought it to the house within the hour! Also it is very conveniently located to grocery stores, breakfast spots and downtown Georgetown. Can’t say enough great things about 4 turtles and we will be staying there again in the future. Don’t be alarmed by the small number of reviews because this place is brand new and we were one of the first people to stay here! Please review them after your trip to get them higher on the list because this is another hidden gem in Exuma.

Hospitality at its best

Amazing place with an awesome view , terrace , beach access within a minute. Beautifully decorated, high quality equipment ( beach tent, chairs, paddle board , life jackets), low noise air con in every room, plenty of towels and blankets, charging ports , speaker, smart TV shampoo and detangling conditioner . Selection of spices and condiments. It truly felt like a home from home. The owners thought of everything to make us welcome. They even allowed us to check in early and check out late to fit our flight schedule. Hoopers bay is a stunning place it’s a short drive from George Town with options to eat out. Perfect location on Hooper's Bay

We had a perfectly lovely stay at the villa hosted by Four Turtles. The view from the balcony that greeted us was breathtaking. We were happily surprised to be greeted by the neighborhood cat named by several neighbors as "Princess Muriel Speckles". The kitchen is well equipped and has new appliances. This was great because we did a lot of cooking (food in restaurants in the Bahamas is quite expensive). Smitty's grocery and the liquor store is very close by. The air conditioning in the villa kept us quite cool and the bedrooms were cozy.The best part of the villa is the location - directly on Hooper's Bay and in the center of the island. We enjoyed swimming and walking the beach daily. Thank you for a lovely stay!

A perfect piece of paradise

The Four Turtles Villas is the perfect location for a vacation. We stayed with our family and had a breath taking view of the beach. The elevated porch out back always had a breeze so you could sit and watch the sail boats go by and not get attached by bugs. The size of the house was ideal for our family of 4 (two adults and two teens). The beach was never crowded and the paddle board was an excellent addition, we used it almost every day. The location is close to George Town so its easy to run into 'town' but far enough away that the beach was never overrun by people coming in on boats. Hoopers Bay is breath taking and excellent spot to paddle out to the sea grass beds to check for turtles and other marine life. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was super easy to check in and check out. Will definitely be coming back!

We are a French Canadian couple from Montreal. We purchased this property as a retirement plan. After traveling the world for many years in search of our paradise, we settled for Great Exuma which met all of our needs and more, as described below.

We love Great Exuma for the thousands of mesmerizing blues of the water, the powdery white and coral sand beaches, the incredible sunrise and sunsets, the amazing Bahamians, Out Islanders and Exumians (some say they're all different and special in their own way) as well as the foreigners who settled here years ago or the tourists who discovered this well kept secret.

When we are here, we enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, boating and kite boarding but also just relaxing on our own private beach, reading or napping in our hammock or Adirondak chairs, making a great frozen local drink, watching the sun rise and set every day and glazing at the deep black night sky and its thousands of visible stars.

We chose Hoopers Bay for its natural beauty and location. The bay is renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise shallow waters that shimmer under the tropical sun, creating a breathtaking contrast against the soft, white sandy beaches and the gentle waves that lap the shore.

It is also facing full North, offering a constant refreshing breeze but most importantly, on each end of the beach, jaw dropping sunrises and sunsets.

Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, Hoopers Bay provides a picturesque backdrop where palm trees sway gracefully in the warm breeze, offering shade and a sense of tranquility. The area is home to a diverse array of marine life, making it a paradise for snorkeling and swimming. Colorful fish dart in and out of coral reefs, while the occasional sea turtle glides through the pristine waters.

The sound of nature, from the rustling leaves and palms to the calls of seabirds, adds to the idyllic Caribbean ambiance.

However, lets not forget the Hoopers Bay community of locals, expats and tourists whom we regularly meet during our daily strolls on the beach, in grocery stores, or at one of the local restaurants. It's interesting to see that Hoopers Bay tends to attract like-minded people who, while being extremely different, share similar values and aspirations for themselves, humanity and our planet.

PS It is worth noting that Hoopers Bay is one of the few beaches where you can swim no matter the weather (almost ;-)) and that never disappears or washes away because of the tides or waves. It is protected by an inlet and many offshore cays, but also by a healthy dune, protected by the Hoopers Bay community, which keeps the sand still for all to enjoy. As you will see on other beaches, many home owners either removed the dune, built atop or built sea walls which accelerate erosion and devoid them from their beach in a matter of months.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Four Turtles Villas is unique because it is right on the beach and in the middle of Hoopers Bay. Our house also has about 50 feet of elevation which offers fantastic views (beach, sea, coconuts, tropical gardens, etc.) and a delightful breeze day and night.

We live on 1 acre of curated tropical gardens which give us fresh fruits and beautiful flowers year round - thanks to Alex, our gardener.

We enjoy the fact that we are walking distance from two (2) grocery stores, a liquor store, a pharmacy, a couple of local restaurants, and - not that you will need them but - a botanist, a hardware, lumber and paint store, and a soon to be marina.

We like to explore beyond and appreciate that Four Turtles Villas is located within 15 minutes (by boat or car) of almost everything there is to see! In fact, most of the time, we don't even rent a car, and just walk, cab or boat/sail around.

All this and so many other elements makes Four Turtles Villas a one of kind fantastic place for your vacation.
