Welcome to Retreat #8, your perfect lakefront escape at Shasta Lakeshore Retreat. Located just a short stroll from Sugarloaf Marina, this spacious and inviting 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is designed for both relaxation and adventure. With easy access to the shimmering waters of Shasta Lake, it’s an ideal destination for families, friends, and groups seeking a memorable getaway.
The home comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests, with room for 3 adults per bedroom, plus children under 16. Whether you're gathering with family or friends, there’s plenty of space for everyone to unwind and enjoy quality time together. For indoor fun, the 3-car garage has been transformed into a game room, complete with billiards, ping pong, arcade basketball, and more, offering endless entertainment for both kids and adults. The fully equipped kitchen makes meal prep a breeze, and after a day of lake adventures, you can gather around the dining table or sink into the cozy living room sofa to relax with a movie.
Step out onto the spacious deck and take in stunning views of Shasta Lake. It’s the perfect spot to BBQ, enjoy an evening around the gas firepit, or simply soak in the peaceful surroundings. Water enthusiasts will love the easy access to the lake just minutes away at Sugarloaf Marina. Whether you’re into wakeboarding, fishing, kayaking, or simply floating in the calm waters, Shasta Lake offers something for everyone. We even provide two kayaks and a paddleboard for your use during your stay!
For those seeking outdoor adventures beyond the water, there are nearby hiking trails, mountain biking paths, and off-roading opportunities. The Lake Shasta Caverns are just a 20-minute drive away, offering a fascinating natural wonder to explore. In the winter, guests can enjoy skiing and snowboarding at the Mt. Retreat #8 is situated on a peaceful cul-de-sac in a family-friendly neighborhood. It’s part of a small street of Shasta Lakeshore Retreat vacation homes, with eight other rentals nearby, making it possible to accommodate over 100 guests in total – perfect for larger gatherings or reunions. Parking is available for up to three vehicles on the property, with additional parking at Sugarloaf Marina. Guests have full access to the home and the game room, though please note that access to the main deck is via steep stairs.
We’re also a dog-friendly home (sorry, no cats), so feel free to bring your furry companions along for just $95 per pet, per stay. At Retreat #8, relaxation and adventure come together for an unforgettable Shasta Lake getaway. We look forward to welcoming you and helping create the perfect setting for your vacation!

With over two decades of cherished family memories at Shasta Lake, we, David and Lori, came to regard Shasta Lake as the highlight of our summers. It's a place where families can bond, and where the range of activities appeals to every age group, making it the perfect spot for a family getaway.
Our love for Shasta Lake runs deep, leading us to make a life-changing decision in 2015 when we purchased our first lakefront home, known as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #1. The incredible experiences we had here were simply too good not to share and we knew our houseboat days were over after staying in this home.
A year later, we acquired the property next door, now known as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #2, bolstered by the popularity of our first home, which had become a year-round favorite.
In 2019, our two grown sons also fell in love with this wonderful place, prompting them to buy a home on the same charming street, christened as Shasta Lakeshore Retreat #3. They entrusted us with its management, a responsibility we take to heart. All three homes required significant investment and remodeling as they had been neglected for years.
After many requests from dear friends and neighbors, in 2021 we started managing other properties, which further enriched our collection. Although we only own two of them, today, we proudly represent 18 remarkable homes, each carefully selected for its unique charm, quality, and comfort. We firmly believe that an extraordinary home is the foundation of an unforgettable getaway, and we want nothing less than perfection for our valued guests.
Our journey doesn't end here; it's an ongoing adventure inspired by our passion for Shasta & the surrounding areas. We are committed to carefully expanding our offerings, reviewing additional unique homes to provide more options for all the wonderful families that come to visit this recreational area year after year providing them a much needed lodging option.

Location, Location, Location. Homes that are close to the water with lake view locations and on private land are extremely rare on Shasta Lake. This home is located on the best street (Daisy Lane) in the highly desired Sugarloaf area of Lakehead off the Sacramento Arm of the Lake. Great views of the lake, mountains and wildlife with a short walk to the lake, marina and boat ramp (depending on lake level). You will love this home. This home is unique with its very large 3 bedrooms where a family can stay in each one of them.
