Featuring unique charm, convenient amenities, and a prime location, the Hideaway is the ideal choice for your Shawnee Hills Wine Trail or southern Illinois getaway. Whether WINEing, ziplining, mountain biking, canoeing, or hiking, we offer the perfect balance of quiet country setting near the comforts of town. With separate living spaces, multiple bedrooms, and fully equipped kitchens, our space is ideal for couples, families or groups of friends. Centrally located & minutes from adventure.
The space
Spacious and thoughtfully appointed, the Hideaway offers the ultimate getaway for rest and relaxation. Whether WINEing (we're 2 miles from the nearest winery) or Hiking (Giant City State Park is just 6 minutes away), we have all you need for a memorable experience.
Suite B Features:
The top level offers a bright living room space, large Roku smart TV, and a bathroom with walk in shower. The closet space has extra bedding and pillows for the Queen sized sofa sleeper for two.
The mid level bedroom has a comfy King sized mattress with linens, a large closet space with hangers, folding luggage rack, extra pillows and blankets. A sliding door with room darkening curtains leads to a beautiful balcony. There are chairs overlooking the wood line where you may be visited by hummingbirds during your stay. A full sized bathroom with a shower/tub, plenty of fluffy towels and toiletry essentials is also on this level.
The lower level hosts a full kitchen space with table and 4 chairs, refrigerator, oven and microwave. Also provided are pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, coffee pot and a toaster. Coffee and creamer are provided. The outdoor patio features a table, chairs and a propane grill for your enjoyment.
We think you will enjoy the peace and quiet that the Hideaway offers.

Born and raised in southern Illinois, I've been blessed to have been able to enjoy our region's charm and unique adventures for over 40 years I'm especially excited to be able to share these experiences with my two young sons. Hiking, horseback riding, fishing, zip lining and more. We absolutely love southern Illinois and all that it has to offer.
I have been working within the tourism industry since 2005. After beginning, what I thought was a seasonal job at a local winery, I fell in love with the Shawnee Hills wine industry and the rest is history. Over the last 19 years, I have helped with a variety of events to help promote and showcase the region to guests.
I'm the marketing and event director for Blue Sky Vineyard, the executive director for the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail and serve as the president of the board of directors for the Southernmost Illinois Tourism Bureau.
A proud supporter of all things local, I can't wait to share what makes southern Illinois so special.
