Your Westerville adventure begins at this 2-bedroom cottage house in an uptown setting. With a queen bed and a cozy double futon, this tranquil property offers a nice escape for guests. Enjoy the convenience of the following amenities: WiFi, Roku, fenced-in yard (dog-friendly property), Koi pond, patio seating, gas grill, and fire pit. Guests may use laundry facilities with advance arrangements and fenced-in yard for traveling pets with coordination of owners' pets.
This property is a 5-minute walk to Otterbein University, and a 5-10-minute walk to a variety of restaurants, shops, parks, and churches. It is a 20-minutes drive to The Ohio State University and downtown Columbus. Our guest house is the ideal spot to relax after a day of exploring the Columbus area.

This is a small little cottage tucked away on an alley of a quiet neighborhood. It's an older little home with a bit of wear and tear, but still cozy and well stocked! It is within a half mile to the "main strip" of Westerville, which has many restaurants, boutiques, shops, and coffee houses. It was also within a half hour to downtown Columbus. Communication with the hosts was quick - they were so responsive! We were pleased to see little dog bowls and a few other thoughtful items left by the hosts to make our stay comfortable. Checkout was simple with two small tasks - no long laundry list of things to do!

This property has a very bad odor from the pets including the vacuum. The shower and bathroom was not clean dead bugs and a whole lot of dog hair everywhere

I’m sorry you did not enjoy the stay at the little house. I do wish someone would have mentioned any of these issues during the stay. Since we are on the property we could have taken care of them immediately. The shower was definitely clean when you arrived but we were testing out a new drain/hair catcher and clearly it holds the water so it has now been removed. As for the stink bugs, it has proven to be a challenge to remove them all.

Property location was excellent. It is within walking distance of Uptown Westerville as well as close proximity to 3 grocery stores. The cottage is directly behind the main house and access is through a common alley with the house next door. Parking and noise were never an issue. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful stay

This place is amazing! A cute little carriage house with a lovely pond & backyard. The house itself was wonderful. It was quiet, clean and well-stocked. It’s also close to a lot of really cool things so there is plenty to check out if you feel so inclined. Will definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Columbus. The owners were also communicative and so friendly!

Just right

Our stay at the Little House was wonderful. It was the perfect amount of space for my husband and me. The hosts were welcoming. They added touches like snack basket, K-cups set up, and amenities in the bathroom. The backyard they share is so peaceful. We will definitely book with Sue again.

The entrance to the house was not shoveled and it was ridiculously and dangerously slippery getting into the house. No parking as the snow was not even cleared for us to park in the area that we needed to park in. The house reeks of urin and smelled as if they were covering it up with glade plug-ins. The place was dirty, and not recommended for stay in my opinion. Very disappointing, and my daughter and I did not stay at this unit. We were not going to stay there and had to drive for 10 miles to stay in a hotel last night.

Sorry to hear your visit was disappointing and I do apologize for not clearing the snow better. It is hard to do with a shared driveway. As for the smell, we have not had any complaints prior to your stay and our prior reviews have shown no complaints. I would have been more than willing to go correct the issue after our initial meeting or at least given you two pet friendly hotels within 5 miles of us to stay at. You did not contact us anymore after that. Rosie

Cute little getaway

My partner and I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights. It was easy to find and get check in. The area felt safe even though we had to arrive after midnight. Rosie and Sue were very flexible with our timing for check in and check-out and helpful with any questions. However, one thing I didn’t realize is that there were not 2 actual bedrooms it’s more like an upstairs open den with a pullout and 1 real bedroom. Both were comfortable to sleep. Also, if you are a taller individual, you will have to duck a little to use the shower, but otherwise everything was as depicted. It was a wonderful little stay, perfect for what we needed going to-and-from Columbus every day for an event and we would book again.
