Lovely mountain house! It’s up there and has great views. Definitely need good tires when it’s snowing. Hosts had great communication and the house was well appointed and comfortable. Thanks for a fun weekend getaway house!

Wonderful Cabin with fantastic view

This cabin has a beautiful view. We enjoyed spending evenings on the deck watching the sunset. Their was also a nice view from the hot tub. The home was very inviting and decor was beautiful. Having two livingrooms was very nice. Our teenage daughters claimed the entire downstairs and spent a lot of time on the hammock chairs. The owner was very responsive to any questions. We come to Canaan every summer and usually stay in a different cabin each time. This was definitely one of our favorites!

Grace was very responsive and kind. We had a group of 5 retirees and a little dog. The 3 king size beds and 1 queen each with a nice size bathroom, bath and shower allowed our group ample space for privacy and comfort. Good quality linens and towels. Half bath on main level near gathering area was very convenient. Really comfortable and clean hot tub and seating area on deck just off kitchen was wonderful on a cold day after hiking. Also loved the fire pit and sturdy Adirondack chairs. Wonderful large family area for eating and gathering. Plenty of seating. A few mornings we just sat in front of the large windows and enjoyed the valley view. The kitchen is on the small side but easy to work in and clean. It’s just off of the dining and family room area so we were all together when anyone was cooking.We played games on the large table in dining area on 2 of the cold and blustery days. Expansive views from every room upstairs and down. We never felt shut in. Plenty of space to be together and also to spread out and enjoy our privacy. TVs on every floor and almost every bedroom which was great for morning and evening news or late night shows. Also the property felt very private. We were blessed to enjoy this place for a few days.

Host provided all the information necessary. The house was beautiful and we had a wonderful time staying there for a weekend! Plenty of space and the hot tub was amazing. Would stay here again.
