Soleado y dramático 4 cama perfectamente ubicado en el centro de Newport

Este es un apartamento soleado de dos pisos con un plan abierto y una arquitectura dramática en el comedor. Tiene un poco de la sensación victoriana del "East Lake" en la habitación principal y es bastante moderna en otras áreas. Es un lugar bastante grande ideal para grupos y familias.

Sube un tramo de escaleras muy empinado y otro regular en el tercer y cuarto piso. Simplemente no queremos que se sorprenda con la caminata del tercer piso. Sin embargo, una vez allí, tiene vistas de Thames St, el parque de béisbol, un poco del puerto y el centro desde los tragaluces y la cubierta. También es muy soleado con una gran brisa y la gente rara vez usa el aire acondicionado, sin embargo, hay unidades en las 4 habitaciones y potente "Mini Split" en la sala de estar principal.

Hay wifi gratuito disponible en todo el apartamento y se ejecuta en mi servicio de clase ejecutiva.

Tenemos un televisor de 55 "en la sala de estar con un Roku donde puede iniciar sesión en sus cuentas de Netflix, Amazon o Hulu.

La cocina está totalmente equipada con una estufa Jenn-air, refrigerador para hacer hielo, Keurig, microondas, horno tostador y lavavajillas. También hay un juego completo de utensilios de cocina, platos y cubiertos.

Hay una pila de lavadora / secadora en el cuarto piso.

Las habitaciones son un rey y una reina en los dos 3er piso. En el 4to piso hay una cama queen en una habitación y la otra tiene un rey dividido con la opción de una cama king o dos camas XL individuales (¡pero no ambas!). Tenemos el mejor sistema para unir las camas, por lo que el rey realmente funciona como un rey con colchones y sábanas extra grandes.

Tenemos dos baños nuevos y todos los muebles nuevos en las habitaciones, así como una colección completa de sábanas y toallas nuevas, incluidas toallas de playa. Cuidamos mucho la ropa de cama, rotando a través de tres juegos de sábanas y edredones atractivos y de calidad.

Durante el invierno de 2018/19 lo estamos repintando y ahora es un ROJO espectacular.

También tenemos estacionamiento gratuito en la calle para 3 autos a lo largo del edificio.

Perfect location

This was the very best location for easy access by car to the property and by foot to the downtown/tourist area. Very clean and comfortable. Have to be somewhat fit for the steep stairway but we found it to be no problem. It was exactly right for our long weekend stay.

Absolute Gem

It is near everything but just far enough away to be quieter. The bus stop for the free #67 trolley, which whisks you to all the great attractions, is just outside. Great experience with the property manager. Highly recommend!

Great space & location with Newport charm

We came to Newport for a friend’s wedding and couldn’t have been happier with our choice of lodging. The owners were very attentive and accommodating. The space was perfect for our 6-person party. The location was exactly what we wanted - close to the downtown spots but still far enough away to not hear every bit of nightlife. We all have nothing but positive remarks about this spot and are hoping to return for an anniversary retreat in the upcoming years. Thank you Sandy and Kate for the perfect stay!

We had the best time in our stay at Newport! The rental was absolutely perfect. it was comfortable and we were treated with nothing but respect by the host. We truly appreciated how clean and thought out the apartment was. It has been the biggest place. We have stayed in Newport so far! It’s very spacious and well-maintained. It was stocked with everything you could possibly imagine. The location was perfect. We could walk to a ball game, a park, fishing, and obviously downtown Newport, where there is everything you could imagine! I’m hoping to look into booking it again for next year!!!

Great apartment in a perfect location

The apartment is clean, bright, and airy and is perfectly situated near downtown Newport. We had a family wedding and were able to walk to every venue during the weekend. Be aware that accessing the apartment requires going up two flights of fairly steep stairs. Not a problem for any able-bodied person, but perhaps a challenge for an elderly person or someone physically compromised.

Perfect for getting ready to go to a family wedding

This property was perfect for getting ready for a Friday afternoon wedding at nearby Belle Mer. Slept 4 adult couples more than comfortably and every one had space to get ready. Breakfast staples were provided and an added bonus. This rental also had games! Super easy for 3 vehicles to park as we all were in and out at various times. We were coming in after work from Boston, and the hosts made sure to accommodate our later check-in. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home, perfect location

This home is in the perfect location for visiting Newport, Rhode Island. We were a group of 8 with everyone from small children to teens to adults - the 4 bedrooms over 2 floors worked out perfectly for us. The place is immaculately clean and comfortable. We were walking distance from the marina, shops, and restaurants, and close driving distance to the bigger beaches and the Cliff Walk. Kate and Sandy had it perfectly arranged for us when we arrived and were available for local advice when we asked. I would happily stay here again.

Excellent location and place, a little tough during a hot, humid week.

So the owners are great. They thought of everything you could need. They were really responsive when we asked for something. We were well aware beforehand about the stairs situation... they are steep and there are a lot of them. But the only real issue we had trouble with was that due to the small upstairs windows the bedrooms up there only have portable air conditioning which is not really efficient on super hot and humid days, and the main areas are not air conditioned at all. It was tough to come home from a hot day out, to a hot, humid living room and warm bedroom. Overall, the place is really well setup for groups. Loved the balcony overlooking the baseball field. Kitchen had everything we needed and more! Having 2 full bathrooms worked great. Beds were comfortable and the decor by Sandy was beautiful! Finally, the location really was the best. With easy off street parking, we were able to get to most places by foot.

Wonderful apartment

Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids for a wedding and it was perfect - we are already planning to come back with some friends next summer! Perfectly clean, coffee and breakfast food in the kitchen, and very helpful hosts. 5 stars. Super comfy beds too.

Perfect location!

Four couples recently rented this property for my son’s surprise 40th birthday weekend. Since I was the primary renter, the review falls to me. Unfortunately, my husband and I were too sick to be there, so I’m basing this review on the other three couples opinions. The space was extremely clean and came with every thing one would want. The location was perfect. They never needed a car for the weekend activities. Prior to the weekend, the owner was easy to get in touch with and responded quickly. A representative for the owner met my daughter and her husband upon their arrival, gave them a tour and answered any questions. The only drawback I heard was that they were told several times that they needed to be quiet since people lived below. This was not an issue for us, it could be if you were traveling with children (the only reason for 4 stars not 5). I would rent this property again and would definitely recommend it to others.

Clean, spacious, comfortable condo in great downtown location.

We had a wonderful family reunion of 7 people--3 generations. Sandy and Kate went out of their way to make us welcome with games for all ages (on the one rainy day), food in the kitchen to get us started (eggs, bread and coffee), and even bathrobes for all. The condo was perfect for walking to downtown shops and restaurants and there was plenty of parking for guests. The beds were especially comfortable. We have no reservations about recommending this property to anyone visiting Newport!

Fantastic getaway in the heart of downtown Newport

A group of friends and I stayed at this lovely apartment over Labor Day weekend. The apartment is updated, spacious, and fully equipped with all amenities. Sandy and Kate even left us some wine, breakfast supplies, and coffee! We had a great time cooking out on the grill and eating dinner around the large dining room table. For nights that we wanted to eat out and explore the lively Newport bar scene, there were plenty of options just a short walk away down Thames street. Everything about the apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable, and Sandy and Kate were wonderful hosts. Next trip to Newport, we would absolutely stay here again! We only have positive things to say about our weekend in Newport!

Great location, comfy and has tons of amenities

My husband and I stayed here along with family and friends for the 2017 Newport Jazz Festival. It was six of us and one 11 year old. We all loved it. The apartment has a wonderful open plan and the place was spotless and nicely decorated. There are board games and picture books plus a TV (Roku) so most will be entertained. The deck seats 4 or 5 comfortably and offers a partial view of the baseball field nearby (no intrusive noise). Sandy (Alexander) and Kate left the kitchen well stocked with soft drinks, breakfast fare, coffee and more! Everything you could need is within walking distance as well. Shops, restaurants, and the dock for water shuttles is maybe 2 blocks away. I received a nice welcome message from Kate and they leave you a good guide to local activities. We are already talking about coming back!

Beautiful, modern, spacious, comfortable and well-located

We had a great time staying at Sandy and Kate's property, which is located across from the public parking lot on Thames Street. The apartment was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the bath robes they provided. We were able to walk to the restaurants that we had reservations at because of the convenient location of the apartment. There was ample parking and one of the tenant's was helpful when we had questions. My only complaints are that the kitchen could use some more equipment (we needed a large pot and a baking sheet, but other than that it had everything we needed). Additionally, it can be rather loud at night because of the location, but this can be expected when staying in an area near many bars and public parking. I would 100% stay here again!

Perfect Place for a Reunion

"Sunny and dramatic" is right on, but fails to include "comfortable and thoughtfully designed." The home served us well for a reunion of five college friends. Two bedrooms and a bath in the loft, and two bedrooms and a bath on the main floor. Kitchen, living room, and dining area set up for easy conversation, no matter where someone was on the main floor. The owners were great--friendly, flexible, and accommodating. They kindly stocked the fridge with breakfast ingredients and beer and provided coffee and tea and miscellaneous kitchen staples. We had an easy walk to restaurants, historic buildings, and the harbor. From the upstairs bathroom, we had a view of the bridge at night. We highly recommend that you stay here if you need four bedrooms. However, please don't request this place on a weekend that we plan to return....

I grew up in Newport about 1/4 mile from the property. I like to travel and see the world but I love Newport and have always come back home. I'm a photographer and maker of things and have been working out of the studio/gallery on the ground floor since 2000.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

When I first bought the property in 1998 this unit fascinated me with the creative reimagining of the victorian era interior. They took the live-in attic and turned it into the balcony area overlooking the 3rd floor and something quite magic was created. I've rented it for years and lived in it myself for 3 years but now I saw the chance to completely redo it. It's got brand new bathrooms and a full rehab to make it a one of a kind vacation spot in Newport. I love to toy with design ideas and find ways to display my artwork so of course we have filled the place with as many art and furniture gems as we can find. That part is kind of on going so I'll do my best to keep the photos current.

We're right on the edge of the busy section but just before the one way streets completely lock you in. It's easy to get to and easy to get away plus you can walk right over from the bus station. You really do not need a car for this rental.
