Situated on large lot looking out over 500+ acres of undeveloped pueblo land. Absolute solitude but only minutes from town and under 30 mins to the ski valley. Our Family enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful views, and accommodations were very comfortable. Great kitchen and outside grill and seating area. Enjoyed the fireplace and wood provided. Would definitely stay here again !

Quick getaway in Taos

Working in Albuquerque and wanted a quick getaway for the weekend. Great house outside of town and will definitely be back. Hot tub and fire pit were awesome.

Very nice property for a family. Well equipped kitchen. Large TV. Nice hot tub. A bit circuitous to get to and from the town amenities, but enjoyable to stay.

Amazing find

Honestly this is one of those places that makes you almost sad to go home. Just a beautiful little gem on the outskirts of Taos. The host was super communicative and the price was right. Highly recommend! One small note is that it is a gravel driveway, so having a four wheel drive vehicle could be helpful.

Excellent in all regards

Location: close to town. Takes no more than 10 minutes to get anywhere in Taos proper. 15 tops If there's traffic downtown or construction on the narrow streets. It's very quiet and very dark where the house is. Not sure about stargazing as it was often raining or cloudy for us.House: extremely well equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels even for a family of five. The house was very clean and put together. It is a traditional Adobe house so there's no air conditioning but if you understand how to use the windows and the wind, it's not an issue. And you just get to smell juniper. Host: The host is great. This was an emergency switch from another property and this host was able to completely just make it happen. He was responsive on our two or three questions and the the check in/ check out instructions were super simple.We would stay here again without even thinking about it. It was great

Stunning mountain views, beautiful Adobe home, great host!

I've stayed all across the Southwestern US. It is in such stark contrast to the rest of the US and find the hike and cycling to be incredible. Staying at Chris' house was by far and away the best experience I've had. The house was absolutely perfect. Authentic Adobe style home with very contemporary and comfortable furniture with stunning views from every single room. The hot tub and patio had some of the most stunning unobstructed mountain views I've ever seen. The accessibility to the mountain hikes (15 minutes away) and mountain biking and ski slopes (30 minutes away) was exactly what all of us were looking for. Two living room areas where the kids could sit and watch tv and the adults could sit separately, watch tv if we wanted but we opted to just look out the window and enjoy the experience while we had a fire going in the fireplace. We could relax with the entire family, enjoy stunning mountain views (from inside our outside) and have all the outdoor adventures we ever wanted all in one place. As a host, Chris was attentive to all our questions about the local area as well as the house. There wasn't anything he wasn't willing to help us with. 5 star experience.

We had a truly fantastic time at Hacienda Harwood! The house is situated in just a beautiful location, it’s well maintained, and the neighborhood is exquisitely, peaceful and quiet. It’s in a perfect location with quick and easy access to sightseeing, hiking and some of the wonderful shops and eateries located around Taos. While it was just the two of us, the house has plenty of room for an entire family. We thoroughly enjoyed just sitting and relaxing, staring out the large windows and at night, staring up at the dark sky stargazing. Well, we never got to try the hot tub as we just ran out of time, the house has everything you would need for a short or extended stay. You won’t be disappointed!
