Casa de Little Tree es el antiguo Bed and Breakfast Little Tree, tan popular y querido por tantos huéspedes que regresaron en los últimos 20 años. Los orgullosos nuevos propietarios se quedaron aquí muchas veces, ya que visitarían y soñarían con "tener un lugar en Taos algún día". Hay 5 habitaciones grandes en total en el compuesto. La casa principal de adobe tiene 3 habitaciones acogedoras y 3 1/2 baños, un estudio con un sofá cama y un banco para una escapada tranquila para leer, meditar o dormir la siesta.

La Casita, separada por un patio ajardinado, tiene 2 dormitorios, 2 baños y 2 patios aislados y uno que incluye una bañera de hidromasaje para que todos compartan. Cada dormitorio tiene su propia personalidad distintiva y acogedora.

Las paredes interiores de la casa principal están enlucidas a mano con pigmentos de mica, paja y tierra de la zona y están acentuadas con una variedad de coloridos azulejos importados. Este oficio altamente promocionado agrega un ambiente más sutil a cada habitación. Además, dos de las habitaciones tienen pisos de tierra apisonada, un arte casi perdido en los tiempos actuales.

Fabulous house for a group trip

We rented the house for a group of 12 getting together from all around the country. The house is beautiful and spacious and is stocked with everything you need! The layout of the house was perfect with 5 bedrooms with their own bathroom plus a bonus room with a pullout couch that our friends said was very comfortable. Convenient location to get to Taos Ski Valley and beautiful views right outside. We loved our stay and will hopefully be back again!

We all had a wonderful time enjoying the sunsets and isolated beauty of the home and its location. The location was very convenient in between the ski resort and Taos which was about 15 minutes to both. The home was well equipped for everything we needed, and the bedrooms were arranged in a way to give lots of privacy to everyone. The fireplace in the living room did not vent very well, we would have liked to use more but not at all a big deal.

Wonderful place for extended family

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home! The property is perfect for a large group and the view is breathtaking. Our extended family all had space but we loved the big kitchen table, living room and courtyard for coming together. Check in was seamless. House was clean and well stocked! We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and the house had everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lack of good maintenance spoiled the vacation

When we first arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the main house, casita and courtyard. The house and casita were nice and cool. The house was spacious and the kitchen well equipped. In the courtyard were planted many flowers and well as herbs for cooking. There was easy access to Taos and restaurants near the house. We had booked the house in October based on the great reviews. I saw complaints by renters in April and May but hoped they would be rectified. Unfortunately, they were not. As previously reported, the master bedroom bath was not clean and shower/bathtub drain was partially clogged so that soapy shower water rose in the tub and drained very slowly. The biggest problem was the kitchen sink. It drained very slowly. Someone noticed the garbage disposal didn’t work as had been previously reported. The sink got progressively worse over the next four days. When the dishwasher was running, it disgorged food debris and dirty water deep into the sink. The garbage from it had to be wiped out manually each time. I contacted the housekeeper and management company and they promised to send a plumber out. At one point even said that a plumber was on the way – no show. Disgusted, we decided to leave early and would have except for plane reservation issues. The management company contacted the owner to see if he would authorize a partial refund for the inconvenience. The management company came back with a 2% offer which the five of us found insulting.

Casa de Little Tree

Our group consisted of 7 adults and a baby. The layout of the property was great: each room had its own bathroom and was private. It was stocked well with towels, shampoo and conditioner. We did buy a kitchen sponge and more paper towels. We enjoyed sitting in the courtyard with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening while we watched the little tree bloom right before our eyes. It is about :15 minute drive into the town of Taos. If you are looking for privacy, it is great. A little inconvenient if you want to spend time in Taos. The hot tub was heated and used every night. Management responded quickly when we had a question about the tv not connecting. They were unable to help us but we found a connection unplugged which solved our problem. The kitchen sink drained very slowly and the disposal did not work at all. An enzyme drain cleaner (septic safe) could be very helpful. Also two toilets (the one in the red guest half bathroom and the one in the bedroom next to the laundry room) may have leaking issues. They ran continuously. Our 84 year old birthday girl did not sleep at all the first night due to that issue. We closed the water valve at nighttime as a solution. We cooked at home most nights. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses and coffee cups. We really enjoyed eating outside at La Cueva Cafe for dinner one night and our breakfast at Michael’s Kitchen. We would recommend this property

Disappointing Taos house

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappointing! I feel I had a nicer place rented, that became unavailable, so this was best alternative. Although from the property there were nice views, most of the rooms in the house had no view whatsoever! Living room view to inside courtyard, same with master BR. 3 of the 5 BR had to walk outside to get to main house. Master BR shower had Slow Drain, gross.

Casa de Little tree vacation oasis

What an excellent location and property for our trip with 4 couples and one single for an extended ski weekend! The 5 bedrooms each with a bathroom was perfect. The kitchen was well appointed. The house is beautifully decorated with comfortable common rooms. The location is between Taos town and the slopes. I highly recommend this VRBO.

The property managers were easy to communicate with and easy to work with as well. Our group had some hiccups during the booking phase, but the management was very accommodating and understanding and willing to work with us. The property itself was very clean and well kept. WiFi was not great but understandable due to remote location. Some issues with toilets leaking(stopper would not fully close) but was able to fix by turning off toilet water completely. Location set up was amazing. Our group booked to ski in Taos and was not disappointed. Close to Taos, rio grande and town. Would recommend to book again

Perfect for adults

Since the house was once a bed and breakfast, everyone could have their privacy if needed. We spent the bulk of our time in the living room with a fire, in the kitchen or around the kitchen table. It’s a perfect place to relax after a long day of snow skiing. We had everything we needed, and the property manager responded soon if we had a question. I would definitely go back.

Family skii vacation.

Property manager was very responsive and helpful. Our water unexpectedly shut off due to a mechanical error but was back on with the help of the property manager within an hour. The 3rd bedroom in the main house has a private entrance but does not have an entrance connecting to the house. If you have adults it’s a private room with its own bathroom but if you have kids they would have to exit outdoors to access the main house. This property has a well stocked and beautiful kitchen with beautiful panoramic views. The house only has small televisions in the two sitting areas in the main house, there are no tvs in the casita. Our family enjoyed the property and had a very memorable vacation.

Great Family Getaway

Our four children are spread far and wide so we try to get together once a year. They all deserve a vacation since they are using time-off. So I look for a property where they can all have a nice bedroom and bath. This one really fit the bill along lots of outdoor space, a hot tub and a great kitchen. We did bike riding, hiking, games, relaxing and eating well. We loved the kiva fireplaces! And the location in Arroyo Secco was much better than being in Taos. Beautiful mountain views and the town of Arroyo Seco was charming.

Remote but Convenient

There was plenty of room for our 8 adults and 3 teens. It's 15-20 minute drive into downtown Taos and about 20-30 minute drive to Taos Ski Resort. We spent equal time between town and the Ski Resort so the house location worked well for us. But there's nothing close by. As one would expect in a remote area, the internet service was spotty. No A/C but the pleasant temps outside kept the house comfortable. The house is well stocked with fans, appliances, and misc supplies. We enjoyed our stay.

If you have mobility issues, this is not the house for you!!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have rented from Premiere Properties for more than 20 years and they have been incredibly helpful. This experience was nothing like those from the past stays. Housekeeping failed to clean our property and when we arrived, we were told our house was not ready but that they would try to find another property for us. This review is not for the original house but for the house (and maybe a different property management company) that we were moved to. The house that we were moved to was Can-Tina la Casa Compound located at 31 Rock Garden Gully Road in El Prado. The biggest concern was that this house had many steps and for ladies in the 70-80 age group, this was a challenge. Beds were also too high for some of us to get into and gel mattresses made it difficult to move once we were in the bed. Showers were slippery and there were no bath mats and no towel holders. Shower heads were designed for basketball players and were so high that they could not be reached or adjusted. The kitchen windows had no shades and working in the kitchen during the morning hours was impossible because the sun was so bright that even sunglasses did not help reduce the glare. In addition to the steps, there were raised thresholds at every door that were about l/2 inch and presented a stumble problem. This house would be perfect for young , nimble basketball players. I would not consider if I had young children (especially toddlers), wheel chair users, cane users or anyone with mobility problems or home safety issues.
