This prime space is located a block from Deering Oaks Park, just down the street from Maine Medical Center, the Western Promenade, close to many restaurants, bars & cafes in the neighborhood. Since the apartment is located in the heart of Portland, you can expect typical city noise from pedestrians, cars, and emergency vehicles.
The space
With a walk score of 91, this spacious apartment is located just steps from Deering Oaks Park, walking distance to Maine Medical Center, the Western Promenade, the Arts District, and numerous restaurants, stores, and coffee shops. The apartment has a generous living space, eat in kitchen, and spa-like bathroom.
Fresh towels, linens, toilet paper, paper towels and basic kitchen items (pots and pans, plates, glassware, mugs, cutlery). Please be prepared to supply your own food (including spices/oil), drinks (including coffee/tea), personal products and other items that you might need to have a comfortable stay. With Portland's sought after food scene, we have found that most guests opt to dine out rather than cook in the apartment. For that reason we keep the kitchen extremely bare boned in order to cut down on unused items.
A Smart TV is provided should guests have their own streaming services. *no cable or streaming service is provided by the host*
The bedroom has air conditioning between May 15th and Sep 30th.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As of January 1, 2018, Portland requires all Short Term Rentals to be registered and display their registration number to be considered legal. Our STR # is 000450.
Other things to note
**Off street parking provided for compact cars from April through October**
For those with larger vehicles or arriving in the winter, parking around the apartment is very challenging. There are parking restrictions during certain days of the week and if a snow storm is predicted, or if snow falls, the City may shut down street parking entirely. We suggest that if you have a car, you park at the local Amtrak station for a small fee a day which is about a mile walk to the apartment (or quick Lyft/Uber/Taxi ride). There are parking garages around town that vary in prices and distance. Many people do find parking around the apartment but it may take some patience and constant vigilance of weather and City restrictions.
