Location! Location! Awesome ground level condo within a short walk to the beautiful beaches of IOP and the amazing IOP Recreation Center that has tennis courts, pickle ball courts, basketball courts, playground, sports fields, etc! Walk to the beach from this family & dog friendly ground level duplex home, which is handicap accessible (but not ADA compliant) with no steps or stairs.

This rental is the ground floor of a two story home so if you have a larger group and are interested in renting out the entire home, please send a message and/or look at VRBO#4274598

There is a 4car max allowed at this property~if you think you will have more cars please reach out to me. IOP has a strict parking ordinance based on occupancy that is enforced.


Take advantage of the six miles of wide beaches, fishing, kayaking, boating and Eco-tours on Isle of Palms by day and enjoy the fabulous foodie & cultural delights of downtown Charleston or nearby Mt. Pleasant or Sullivan's Island at night. Historic Charleston is a 20 minute drive from the home and the beach is a 2 minute walk from the house. The Isle of Palms Recreation Center is 1.5 blocks from the house.

Must be 25 years of age or older to rent this house. The maximum number of overnight guests (over the age of 2) is 8. Please note, IOP is sensitive to inappropriate noise levels so no parties and large gatherings after 10 PM. The noise ordinance is strictly enforced by the Isle of Palms Police. Violations of the noise ordinance could result in fines and/or eviction.

Isle of Palms is a beautiful barrier island near Charleston that has the relaxing air of a beach town but only 20 mins. from all downtown Charleston has to offer. Besides the gorgeous, wide beaches, IOP has a marina for renting kayaks, jet skis or boats, has an amazing recreation center that includes a playground, tennis courts, sport fields and indoor and outdoor basketball courts. This is truly a one of a kind home in an excellent location on Isle of Palms with the beach and Intercoastal Waterway just steps away!

Location of house is great. Super easy walk over to the beach-just a few minutes walk. Loved the outdoor patio space. Plenty of seating, nice yard space to walk dog around to potty. The house could definitely use some updating. Furniture was stained and dingy and not very welcoming to want to sit down and relax on. Blinds are very dingy and dirty looking. Front of the house was really dirty and needed to be pressure washed. House also had a very odd smell. Most of the beds slept well. Bunk bed mattress was very squeaky and made noise every time you moved on it. And closets had zero hangers so if you want to hang your clothes then bring your own. Overall the house was enjoyable and served its purpose. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, beach towels provided, and very spacious for our family of 5 and dog. Just needs furniture to be cleaned or updated and the smell needs to be addressed. Really enjoyed the location and our stay!

Great location just minutes from the beach. Perfect for a family with a well equipped kitchen, and plenty of indoor and outdoor dining space. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and the community recreation center with free basketball, tennis and pickleball courts is one block away. Host was pleasant and always quick to respond.

Great location, easy walk to the beach and condo is very dog friendly with tile throughout the house. Cons - mattresses are very hard. We purchased a mattress topper at Target to get a better night sleep. Floor between first and second floor is very thin, you can hear upstairs tenants walking around. Several of the ceiling fan lights were broken. New light bulbs were brought, but not correct size. Overall the condo is fine, but could use updating.

Isle of Palms Beach house

All three generations of our family enjoyed the beach house. Coffee on the patio in the morning, dinner outside in the cool shade, and spaces for all 5 indoors. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, silverware & glasses, pots & small appliances. It is a quiet neighborhood. The beach access is just a few blocks away, and there is beach equipment & laundry facilities. The driveway & entire house has easy access with no stairs. (This was the first floor unit). While we enjoyed the beach, we also drove into Charleston for activities there: shopping at the City Market, Tour of the USS Yorktown, Horse & Buggy tour, Charleston Harbor Boat tour (get the combo ticket!) and of course, some seafood meals. (We recommend Hyman’s Seafood).

Great location!

We stayed here for a long weekend visiting Charleston and the beach. The location was excellent- walk to a beautiful beach, short drive to Charleston, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The house was very clean and well stocked. The house and furniture have seen some wear and tear but nothing that interfered with our stay.

First Beach Trip

This was our honeymoon trip! My husband had never been to the beach and it was his first time to see the ocean! It was such a blessing to see his reaction! We all had a wonderful time and definitely want to come back again! It was also pet friendly!

Beautiful Spring Break

Great place to stay in early April and avoid the mayhem of the Florida panhandle! The owner communicated quickly and was very helpful with a couple of restaurant recommendations. The location is accurate- just a quick walk across the street to a very wide beach. Not a luxury accommodation, but perfect for a beachy getaway with easy access to the Charleston area.

Wonderful Place!

We had a great time staying here.Very clean and all of the amenities you could ask for.Comfy beds, nice showers, and plenty of living space. Board games, puzzles, and JENGA which our family had so much fun playing.The hosts are very responsive and willing to help if help is needed. Very close to the beach and recreation center.(Tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts.)We're already booked for next year!

Great Location, Nice Neighborhood

Spent 5 days with our dogs at the beach, and this property was a great place to clean up and relax after a long day at the beach. Nicely equipped kitchen for cooking and eating in, and good amenities. Master Bedroom bed was too firm for my liking, but some would love it. Overall I'd stay here again without hesitation.

Highly recommend Down Under

Close to the beach. Very child friendly (18 month old and 4 year old) in proximity to beach and to the park a block and a half a way. Hosts are extremely responsive. Highly recommend and would stay there again!

This place was a little older but very clean. Good size family room and we loved the outdoor covered patio with tables and chairs. Outside bushes and trees could use some trimming to allow easier walking/parking access.
