Este alquiler de vacaciones frente al mar se encuentra en la isla pastoral de Vashon en Puget Sound. Kingfisher Cabin está a un corto trayecto en ferry de Seattle, Tacoma o Southworth. Las vistas orientadas al oeste de Quartermaster Harbour harán las delicias de usted mientras descansa en la nueva cubierta, camina por la playa o se sienta y lee junto a la estufa de leña.

La cabaña de tablones de cedro tiene una sala de estar luminosa con techo de catedral y tragaluz, una cocina abierta y dos habitaciones de matrimonio. La cocina está equipada con refrigerador, horno, estufa, microondas, cafetera, tostadora, licuadora, vajilla, cristalería, etc. Muy adecuado para hacer sus propias cenas elaboradas o simplemente recalentar las sobras.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Kingfisher Cabin on Vashon. The huge deck and water views simply can’t be beat. The cabin was clean, cozy, and very comfortable for our visit. The location is also great—It’s far enough off the beaten path that you feel tucked away in a private corner of the island while quaint shops and restaurants are within a short drive. We hope to return!

The cabin is about 30 feet above the water - you can easily walk down to the beach. It is profoundly quiet and very private. The huge front deck is to die for. There are a number of old trees around it that don't block the view much, but give shade and also allow lots of birds to surround you. The view is wonderful. The cabin is clean, and has everything we needed. Bedrooms are a bit small, but you'd want to hang around with the panoramic view in the front room anyway.We can't say enough about the hostess. We had one minor issue when we got there. We contacted her, and she was working on it immediately, and didn't let up until it was solved.We visited toward the end of August. Really wonderful. We will be back.About the wildlife... Don't forget binoculars. We were there for maybe 5-10 min when an osprey plummeted into the water and came out with a fish. Saw the osprey 3-4 more times in the next couple of days. Also saw harbor seals every few hours. Lots of the birds you'd expect - cormorants, grebes and gulls in the water, chickadees and juncos on land. Towhees. There are a lot of nuthatches around - they were really fun to watch going up and down the tree bark - some within 10 feet of where we were standing. We did see a kingfisher once. Also creepers, house finches, etc. You get all this sitting on the deck!

Always an awesome stay at the Kingfisher cabin!

This was our 3rd time staying here, we obviously go back for a reason. This property is fantastic for a very relaxing stay. The deck is amazing to sit with a book & beverage and enjoy the beautiful scenery!

Vashon retreat

A quiet cottage with a great channel view and afternoon sun. Many hikes across the island (a nice quiet community). We have enjoyed it several times and look forward to future visits.

Quiet cabin with outstanding view

Easy to find. Exactly as described. Homey, cabin feel. Plenty of space for two. Each of us found our beds to be way better than most rentals--not too soft or heat-producing. Everything works. Had the joy of watching an otter swim to shore with a fresh catch. Walked on beach and saw deer in neighborhood. So peaceful. Quiet neighbors. Ventured to the pottery studio down the road. Easy in/out of the main town. Great coffee shops and fabulous show at the VCA. Another highlight / favorite outing was Nashi Orchards---highly reco! And food at Snapdragon and Vashon Island Coffee Roastery was divine. Thank you!

Amazing views!

One of the best properties ever stayed. Comfortable, easy access to cabin for unloading and reloading. We had one vehicle, 2 no prob. Beds very comfy. Shower nice! Kitchen had all we needed to make a sausage spinach tortellini soup. We brought K-cups and bag of coffee, thankful for the coffee grinder! Can’t wait to stay again!!

Kingfisher was so inviting, that we'll keep coming back to stay there again and again...

My parents were visiting from out of the US, and it was my dad's birthday, which my wife and I wanted to make it special. Boy! Were we glad that we rented "Kingfisher" for a couple of days in October! I'd say that the right from the coziness of the cabin, features, its cleanliness, the breathtaking views from the deck, and walk to the water, made the whole experience super-memorable to all of us! It was a perfect getaway that my father and mother will remember forever. Not only did our stay make a mark in all our minds; but, the feeling of home away from home in this surreal place deserves mighty kudos!! What a way to make my dad feel special?! And, he did say that over and over, which blesses our heart! The host, Jessica - who was remote, and her parents who live next door were very inviting, super-responsive, and mighty-helpful! That warm TLC is all part of the whole package. ;-) I would rate this place a 10 out of 5 if that were an option. Don't miss it - very highly recommend!! One thing I'd like to suggest is that the online pictures DO NOT do justice to what the place has to offer. Of course, a camera can never replace the human eyes, I get it. Looking at it positively though - this place T-U-P-W-O-D - Totally Under Promises Way Over Delivers!! Thank you hosts!!

Lovely stay

We had a short girls getaway. The cabin is situated in a small quiet harbor. Very calm and quiet. We loved taking daily walks on the beach and relaxing on the large deck. The beds were decently comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Relax in style

Loved Kingfisher Cabin and Vashon Island. The cabin was just as presented with cozy furniture, spacious deck, and amazing views. Having owners parent’s next door was a nice addition. They were not intrusive, but helpful & very enjoyable to visit with. They had ideas and tips of island. We will return, if possible.

We (Mark & Jessica) married and bought the Kingfisher Cabin in the same year. It was a crazy time but we wouldn't change a thing. We love being able to share our beach hideaway and introduce others to Vashon.

Jessica's mom grew up on Vashon Island and that is where her parents met. She spent many summers visiting relatives and exploring the island and is happy that her family gets to continue the tradition in their own beach cabin.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Kingfisher Cabin is located on a quiet beach and is surrounded by trees. We almost named it the tree house. The view from inside the cabin or out on the large deck is beautiful. No matter the weather - the water makes it better.
